Over 40 years ago, I asked my music major brother for some classical records for Christmas; one of his gifts was the London recording of Georg Solti with the Israel Philharmonic performing this piece. I played it over and over while studying in college. I had largely forgotten how many memorable themes it contains. Thank you for a wonderful, balanced performance of one of the loveliest compositions of a great composer.

Dear Barry, thank you very much for your warm words! I feel very honored that you like our performance!
Just learning more classical. Started watching ballet, and was distracted by the beauty of the piece. Oh how l wish there were a mass return to the classics, and ordered thinking. lt would society much good. Thank you to the musicians, and composer! You've made my heart GLAD today. :)
I have been listening to this piece of music for a long time. And now, I see gamers everywhere in the comments x). I guess it's nice to make people knowing Tchaikivsky's music by video games :)
xpk ryanx- I would like to remind you that the days of the former classical era, the era of live musicians everywhere at every event, have passed us by, and hearing classical, romantic, and baroque music live is the only way to really experience it. So, what do we do? We can instead listen to the music within the context of a story. In a film, a game, or even as part of a presentation. Music is a living thing. It needs to either be heard live or experienced as an influencing force on something else. Food for thought.
I have heard this piece many times (it's one of my favourites), but this rendition is such an emotionally evocative orchestration, as to be beyond perfect! Very well done!!

Wonderful performance! Love the energy from the conductor and everyone playing! Also I can’t help but notice so many comments about Stefano in the comments and it makes my heart filled with happiness to know many people love that game as I do XD It’s funny reading the comments and wonderful listening to the song!

Dear Julian, thank you so much for your words! I feel very much honored that you like our performance! Keep in touch, all the best, Matt
Like a lot of people that were kids in the early, mid, and late 50s I heard beautiful pieces of music like this as . . . soundtracks to Walt Disney, and Tom & Jerry Cartoons! It wasn't until many many years later did I 1) hear them on a classical-only music station so as to put a name to the music, and, 2) hear the music in its entirety. It is truly wonderful. In a way, those cartoon-makers set us up for this!
The world is a better place because of animated cartoonists and video game creators putting samples of great music into their works! It's often the only time millions of culturally deprived kids will ever hear it!
This is how I always think Tchaikovsky wanted this piece played, void of the "big" sound from too many string instruments. Intimate, refreshing and each phrase expressing the subtle sounds of what the composer wanted. I only wish the audience would never applause between the movements, rather to reflect silently on what beauty they just heard. This is after all a stunning, moving piece of orchestration.

We played this in my high school symphonic orchestra too and won many competitions playing it. I'm sitting here watching this video 6 years later as it is STILL my favorite piece we ever played. Best of luck to you! It's so rewarding to learn and play.
This was beautiful! If I hadn't watched the video I would have thought there were more instruments in the orchestra... such wholeness, balance, range. Bravo, maestro

Tchaikovsky is a very special compositor for me. My favorite is his violin concerto Op. 33. Some of his pieces of music bring tears to my eyes, thank you.
Back again Maestro Moleda! I've shared this performance with others. Extraordinary music in every way! Thank You again! I'm a bassist! Love Your bassist's fine playing! Fills the hall!

Just finished listening Maestro. Stellar performance and Yours is my favorite from other Orchestras. That bass had a huge sound for that hall and the bassist was a great player Thank You, stay safe and a very Happy New Year!
Alyosha Skvortsov "Your death will be art!" I love the inclusion of that character- a shunned and insane Italian artist who is strangely capable. He alludes to knowing some fencing too when you actually fight him.
THAT JEWISH GAMER in terms of gameplay and actual plot, yeah, the sequel is way better although I find the first one to be better in terms of raw horror. I just wish they stuck with that Italian guy to be the main boss instead of just the Act I antagonist
My high school is playing and I'm striving for our cellos to sound as good as yours. We are working on it getting better every day. i hope we sound at least 3/4 good as you guys do.

Thank you for your compliments, I am sure everything will be great! Greetings!
I first heard this extraordinary composition and music in 1973, on the "extra" side of Mozart's 'Eine Kleine Nach Music', which I had fallen in love with at an outdoor concert that summer in rural Vermont. Yet, this Tchaikovsky is the piece that knocked my socks off and gained my admiration in a much larger, deeper way. MASH TV fans may recall that this is what Winchester plays for his tent mates, saying something akin to "This is perhaps the finest piece of music ever written." The composer himself was far more connected to and pleased with it than his far more popularly known '1812 Overture'.
I appreciate the nice response I meant every word. I have never heard such a moving performance of this wonderful music like this before. If I was there I would have jumped up and been the first person to give a standing ovation!!!!!
