How to Soften a Hard Avocado Quickly

- In this video, I will show you how to soften a hard avocado quickly, so you can use it for things like avocado toast. First, place the hard avocado in a microwave safe plastic bag, but don't seal it (you don't want it to explode -- leaving it open will let the steam vent out of the bag). Then microwave the avocado for 2 minutes on high. When the two minutes is up, let the avocado cool down before handling the bag (it's like microwaving a bag of popcorn or a potato -- handle with care and use oven mitts if necessary. Next, fill the bag with water to finish the cooling process. Now you can cut into this once hard avocado and put it on toast. I'll top it with a little olive oil and some Everything But The bagel Seasoning. There you have it: Avocado toast made with an avocado that was a little hard and not completely ripe. I think that affects the saber
Please don't do this. This just softens the avocado because it's cooked but it's not ripened. To accelerate ripening, put it in a bag with an apple or a banana overnight
Tried that, didn't work. Day 6 and still hard.
