The Last Command Criterion
All the silent Von Sternberg films in that box set are pretty great, but The Last Command is definitely something extra special and very powerful. It's among my favorite non-comedy silent films, along with Metropolis, Faust, and a few others.
And as far as One-Eyed Jack, yeah, that one was a complete surprise to me. I wasn't expecting much of anything from it, and not only did I end up loving this title, but I even rated it a 10 on Letterboxd, which I don't give those out easily. Great choices!

I was tepid about Nicole Kidman as an actress until I saw her in The Others. What a phenomenal performance that was, and what a wonderful movie. I've been a big Kidman fan ever since.
I love Chaplain's City Lights.

I recently watched Sidney Lumet's "Fail Safe" I'm glad I bought it. It's a masterpiece.

I added two John Sayles films to my collection during this sale: Matewan and Lone Star. Sayles is a very under-rated director/writer, and I was happy to acquire those two great films. Chris Cooper is fantastic in both, and Matthew McConaughey shines in Lone Star as does Kris Kristofferson. I will have to check out your recommendations next sale.

Great recommendations, Nathan! Swing Time is a great edition and Nicole Kidman is terrific in The Others as well as To Die For, another great 4K in the collection. Happy shopping.

One eyed jacks one of my favorite's really enjoyed special features fugitive kind with Marlon was really good also it was a blind buy for me
I also prefer Harold Lloyd to Chaplin, being The Kid Brother and Girl Shy my favourites, but I love City Lights. The Others is amazing, as it is The Innocents, an obvious influence.

To be fair he isn't really used to his full potential, but it is nice to have them both together.
Recommendations are great. Editing is absolutely horrendous.

@@maplestreetmoviesmaybe cross dissolves instead of jump cuts. Or change frame size or composition on the edit, if you’re shooting in 4K and mastering at 1080. You did what I’m suggesting at 6:51
