that's how people like that sound to me.@@paradoxx451
great job! Achievement unlocked! you have successfully misunderstood the point of the video and this comment! @@Lenartowy
I can only comment on what i see, in first 4 minutes of 12 minute video it looks only like you are complaining about game being boring or wasting time in general by taking a lot of time traveling, where this is clearly your mistake, then you make my response as one of the pinned comment (calling out basically), so I replied in the same way you did.
Idk maybe be clear what you want to tell or show from the start instead of leaving viewers to figure out what you ment, sorry i can't read minds.
Thanks for the achievement tho! appreciate it ;)
@@ledocteurgonzo Why? you like little kids or something?
Now do this while trying to get into the same server with friends, meet up at a single point then get to a mission 😆
If anything goes wrong in the game loop; a single glitch can often result in 2x time spent.
We can dream that after SQ42 releases, development does a 180° and focuses entirely on fun.
More chores?!? Ffs... Chores is the DEFINITION of SC.
I like where salvage is going because I feel like it is a good game loop for people that don't want fast and engaging. That's why I'm really pissed at the current state of FPS gameplay, and the lack of meaningful variety in missions. Regardless, even discarding the fact that maybe salvage just isn't your cup of tea, the video highlighted how much time is spent to get to a mission, then how little content the missions actually provide, and that's true no matter which loop you are playing.
That's the most sarcastic title I've ever read, lol
Brings me back to when I was saying "they'll want fast travel within cities or people will always stick to stations" sometime in 2017. Given setting spawn point to stations is the norm, the people being critical of Grumpy need to have a little more self awareness.
Remember, this is a video game not a religion. Star citizen is equally open to praise and criticism alike. Don’t be a crazy Stan for star citizen. Just enjoy it as it is.😊
You forgot to show the part where ships explode for no reason when exiting a hangar 😂
Actually 99% of the time you explode in a hanger is the you hit leftover debrie some some idiot that failed landing since the persistent entities are in.
Anyone who says this game isn't bloated as hell is coping. I want realism , but until presistence is viable and consistent getting going when you log into the game will always be a fucking choir.
On one hand, you are complaining that people don't want you in the community, that you cannot come back etc.
On the other hand you are trying to keep it that way.
How to have shorter "waste" times.
Take missions near you, not on the opposite side of the system. You started at Grim Hex that is located in Yela's asteroid belts that has A) Salvage ships from missions, B) Salvage ships generated by itself C) scraps. Yet you took the mission on the opposite side of the system (48Mil km away). There's also bed logging (sure it does not work all the time, so i understand not using it).
You clearly wanted to waste your time, don't blame the game on it, and yeah I totally agree with the other person saying that this video is exhausting and too long and i stopped at around 4:20 minute, rest is just waste of my time so i gave up.
Just to be clear, i don't mind anyone doing what the want and how they want, but dont blame others for your mistakes.
Lol I can't keep up and his actions don't match his words. For example, I played DayZ and enjoyed it but when I stopped enjoying it, I stopped playing it. I don't keep going back every update to find new reasons to complain about DayZ. I just don't play it. Pretty simple concept.
Honestly, I don't care who plays what, I liked some of his old videos, didn't like the others, didnt agree with everything etc. he's just a person. And with SC it's a rocky road anyway, game clearly is like no other, but its also fucked up like no other, CIG can break things that were working for years, abandon features right after releasing them, and at some point you just reach breaking point, wait a few patches and you will still enojy this mess. DayZ is a bad example as theres ton of zombie survival games around so its really easy to switch@@walker_bait4772
i'm from arma "milsim", i can do tedious and enjoy it, just dicking around with other players for a while as things are set into motion, but then with huge payoff at some point.
and i can do powerwash simulator. even munching could be fun and relaxing. but it's just lacking any kind of engagement, it's mindnumbing. i jumped on a random mole i saw crawling around a moon and was allowed to operate an arm. totally forgot how that thing worked but figured it out. helped get some gold and wished them good luck as i went back to my ship. that was fun, there was actually something to learn and to do with even just one mining arm.
this looks like dry stale white bread and you don't even get margarine for a taste.
I actually like the gameplay of setting up, travelling there, taking the trams taking in the views and all that etc, plus why not take missions in closer vicinity? Not every game has to have everything come to them instantly. I used to play a lot of Elite Dangerous and know what travel times can be like (especially the Hutton Run). Star Citizen is way less than that game and its a good middle ground. Its fine as it is. If people dont like it then thats a them problem, not a game problem. I like ye stuff Grumpy but am on a disagreement with ye on this one :) although this was still a funny vid
I suppose on the other hand I do have a lot of time to play, but if people dont then maybe SC is not the game for them.
And then you hit an invisible asteroid and lose all progress, needing to start all over again. FUN! 😂 come on, we've all been there 😅
I love doing salvage solo and multy-crew
But this was hilarious to watch. more content like this!!! XD
And this is one of the reasons I stopped playing SC. As buggy as the other Star* game is, it's more fun and less prep work (and fewer boring parts) than Star Citizen.
Well, it's not that bad after all, because after each new gameloop modification we have SOMETHING to do. We go watch your videos about it, and we get FUN.
I stopped playing this game back in 3.18 when nothing worked, the community board is ran by hired hacks, all gains get wiped…etc. This game could be so much fun, if…oh nevermind, its a scam! Lol
A thing that frustrates me is that the pilot is unable to connect to ANY of the other terminals & perform their functions remotely.
In 900 or so years they've apparently completely forgotten how to remote desktop/control another computer terminal, which is running on the same bloody ship computer system.
Even though that same ship has remote turrets!!!
It's a totally false & unrealistic scenario, reduced functionality purely because the Devs don't like it.
part of the fun is getting there and doing the things...worst thing that could ever happen to SC is for the instant gratification crowd taking over.
you missed the point of the video entirely.
I remember now why I don't play Star Citizen, because my realism is FUN.
I dont think grumpy is making the claim that everything we saw in that video is unfun. I think its more to the repetition ( grumpy correct me if im wrong) but i think if bed logging worked and if ships didn't randomly explode or despawn when bed logging so ot made senses to load a ship with 8 days of food and water you could bed log safely without 30018 error and these loops were without bugs it would be fun to an extent but doing those steps to increase speed in the future always result's it more wasted time not less. Every time i prepare my vulture for a multiple mission run intun into one of 3 issues. I loee ability to qt entirely, i lose ability to refuel and repair entirely or mu ship stops salvaging. It'll turn on and remove the hull but it wont fill my compactor. And then if you multi crew you need to split payment but you dont really double payout at all so then you have to do 2x the chores so you each can buy new ships to unlock more chores.
I complete agree that this QT and Elevator Gameloop is totally nuts. I, personally, don't see a purpose in that. Furthermore, I would use it for the massive jump points to Pyro and other Systems so you could spend time with your crew for role-play. (ok, that just applies to actual role players) - but for inner-system travel, it is odd that it takes that long. A 10th of the time spent would be more than enough.
Honestly you right most of the non PVP based game loops are boring a labor intensive and not very game like, but I think some mosaicist out there like this. YoU ShOuLd PlAy STARFEILD
U gotta remember with the warp system I’m pretty sure it’s to reduce rendering hiccups and fully load in the planet/moon by the time you get there so it kinda sucks that it takes that long but it’s most likely the thing that make having this type of tech on this scale possible
This was a great summary :) that realism of quantum travel ..... and engaging scrapping....
Admittedly I don't play the game solo, pretty boring, but playing with friends makes it 100x better and is as intended imo, especially for salvage operations when you have some guys playing in their Vultures hull-scraping while you help to offload the cargo when pirates suddenly show up, or bunker missions together, or mining together in a Mole etc, you get a lot more done together. The Reclaimer is a capital end-game salvager intended for a crew of 6 so you'd naturally be getting up and down a lot on your own.
I personally like salvaging, it's something to turn your brain off. If I want something more exciting and engaging, I'll go do bunkers or pvp/bounties, or anything else.
As someone who is nothing but excited for the salvage changes coming, I found this video funny and something I can agree with, even if that last part's hard to admit.
I don't know how to make things better, but I feel like solo salvage is going to suck alot less, but also still sort of suck. Don't get me wrong, I'm going to still enjoy the thing I want to main in SC sucking alot less, but we've gone from actively making me considering uninstalling whenever I do it solo to feeling like just grinding while doing it solo. I'm pretty sure I'm coping, because ROC mining with a reclaimer is less depressing than hull scraping in the current patch.
hahaha honestly roc mining with a reclaimer is actually more satisfying than this.
THIS is the song i need when i QT Jump
PS : and that was 1h40min of best case scenario without 30k, griefing or major bugs...well you almost had an elevator space bug death, ALMOST
Jedva čekam da proradi simulacija tuša i wc-a, pa prije “fun” dijela ću provest 20min na kenjari pa 20min do “fun lokacije” i onda me u real life stisne kenja! A igrica nema pauze. 😂
I love salvaging in SC. My job is fast pace and always have me moving so getting in and just taking a much slower/chill version of power wash simulator and getting a mindnumb is something Iike personally (also the reason I do the cargo loops, let's my brain get out of fast pace work mode). BUT, i definitly understand the video and it's hilarious XD. I'm dreaming that past SQ42 release, that SC PU will get the much needed love and attention it needs to balance GAMEplay and realism.
Now imagine if you spawned planet side and had to add all that super tedious traversal to the time.
You could have make the exact same video, but having fun while doing it.
Star citizen has yet to figure out how to balance what we need to see and experience as players in the game and what we don’t need to see, once they figure out the formula things will get smoother but as of right now they just take the shotgun approach
Exactly
Got no problem with doing the sim side. Just the bugs get on my tits. At least now CIG seem to be adding effort to the game now S42 is... er... nearly done.
Its almost as if its not complete, just an earlier step on the way to final. I would say wait for better tech but then your gripe sessions would be so boring. CIG is actually producing , now you can have some relevancy with more interesting gripe sessions. Welcome back! With the increased pace of development, I expect to see a lot of Grumpy Gripes, I mean content.
That first track is a banger. Is this one of your productions?
Grumpy you forgot to smoke a joint before starting your mission.
lol
You don't even need sarcastic commentary to expose the sheer stupidity of this project, you just have to show gameplay. Well done Grumpy!
Not even having ONE single feature in tier 1 after 10 years of development is mind-boggling.
very well made video. the juxtaposition is perfect.
Garbage Truck Simulator 2952
Man im so torn between buying it and trying it or just waiting in hopes that they eventually get it to a good point ( if they ever get it to a good point )
Thank you so much for this. I laughed so hard, because comedy about true real life that's ridiculous is the most hilarious! This is exactly why I loved the game so much I spent $2k on it over four years ago buying into the artificial scarcity and hype, but can't stand to waste my time on it anymore. Nothing satisfying in a reasonable amount of time to promote growth or progression.
It‘s obvious by now that you don‘t use elevators in quantum drive
They should disable the button. But they don't care about you dying after 2 hours or more in space and losing every progress.
@@eldernoob2231 disable which button?
Hey @@DerKilianist, The elevators button while in quantum drive.
@@eldernoob2231 ohh. Won‘t be realistic tho, since it‘s just a bug. Maybe physicalized quantum drive will fix it
I liked this style of video.
literally named grumpy

people: 😮😮😮
Never leave your helmet off in a ship. That's basic SC alpha play 101. :P
I don't really know a massive ammount about ghis game yet but I'm guessing you have a bit of an issue with the new salvage in 3.22
Chore loops. Not game loops.
Nice video, logged on today, stuck at ship door, then somehow started a combat mission, but then I had the ship weapons not working bug, so went back to spaceport, relogged, realized 40 mins in and didnt do anything yet, logged out, watched netflix and had more FUN. I might even install World of tanks or smthg again then play this garbage...
You almost died of thirst, you were lucky.
This video is spot on
haha - it's come to the point where i think about logging into SC.. then think, why would i do that to myself? I'll watch grumps instead.
Fun video to watch. Great editing! And almost to 10k. Nice job grumpy!
(FOR ME ONLY) Everything that you showed us is boring right now, because there is no game play loop. Playing Star Citizen right now is like playing Eve online but solo/coop. In Eve if I travel for 45 min through galaxies I will end up in a unsecure area with valuable resources, so now the boring game play begin to be fun because I have to be alert, create partnership and the potential to print cash which as a real impact on the whole game.
Wait wtf was tht wave bullshit u used to harvest that avenger? Is the giant claw not a thing anymore?
I mean the slow quantum travel is kinda you’re fault there looks like you were running the stock QD a faster drive would’ve taken far far less time.
your*
and I was using an upgraded one. ts3 can't make it from crusader to microtech.
@@GrumpyEyeGaming oh yeah forgot you’re that guy, also you must be using the shittest upgraded drive cause that jump from grim to arc l4 with a ts is possible with enough to go to a moon to refuel and get this takes 3 minutes and 50 seconds roughly not 14 minutes what had you done upgraded to the vesta and why do those starter contracts in the claimer they’re made for the vulture. Last thing maybe just maybe do the thing that literally every semi efficient player would do and pick contracts that are near you/each other and not the other end of fucking Stanton from each other.
Quick edit bullshit the ts2 can’t make it to micro before the jump points the longest jump to micro was arc l5 to micro which is 72 MKm the ts2 on the reclaimer has 77MKm of range. Simple math 72 is smaller then 77 it has the range.
@@GrumpyEyeGaming quick math says otherwise the grim to arc l4 took you ~14 mins the base drive has a 59kkm/s travel speed which gives you a travel time of 805.5 seconds or 13 mins 20ish seconds. So I think you’re full of shit with the “upgraded drive”
Are we having fun yet ? lol
Wtf dude XD I used to like your video and your point of view, but now i just don't get it. You took one of the biggest ship to run solo, then complain about running it solo. You do salvage but you don't seems to like that gameplay at all. You did go from grim hex to arc l4 to do your salvage, then to hur l4, and then complain about the travelling time. Im pretty sure you know there are salvage mission around yela, why would you do 40 000 000 km to do it ? There were 19 salvage mission on your tab. You choose to go there. The bug piss me off as much as you. But don't go buy a 400$ multicrew salvage ship to run solo, millions of km from your starting point to then complain about it.
achievement unlocked! you have completely missed the point of the whole video! good job! :)
Love your videos! Forget about the haters, they will view and comment anyways, so win win😂
look dude i missed you. why? cuz 1 minute in i am already LMFAO
no seriously your good content! i do not always agree but i enjoy your fresh perspective, thx!
also... 🤣🤣🤣 great editing on this 1 lol
I have to hehe... Thats why I melt all 3000 euro and buy working ships because time show and american dream shows walking in woods soo... Salut from Poland, I love it ...
and how much did you make in 2 hours? 300k? I do one ERT mission and make on average 3mil
1.5 mill
Just play PACMAN if you want FUN!
This is funny because it is so true. Love it.
Thats fun for me, at least
Gameplay drier than 3 week old leftover turkey
can you cut and loop this song. seriously. i have been listening to this while doing trade routes lol. i be whistle'n this shit at work
reclaimer isnt solo ship :D
Chore Citizen
Good take then in the last 2 minutes twas a bad take. Cant be comparing unlike terms. You do “unnecessary chores” then show us a game where unnecessary chores are engaging, dont switch it to pvp😂. All that shows me is you wasted your time in a gameloop that isnt for you lol. I hate salvage, super boring. Never found a satisfying thing about it personally. What IS satisfying is a live boarding mid flight and surprising the pilot as he wakes up in a med gown.
the point is that other games have things that keep you engaged. star citizen has too much timesinks.
@@GrumpyEyeGaming i get that-ish. It has 1 time sink by way of what your video points out. You got 20 minutes of gameplay. The rest was in QT.
Other games have travel mechanics that take a long time too. Skyrim you walked everywhere. No mans sky you warped.
The remedy wasnt increasing speed or shortening length. It was bringing randomn chance encounters or other gameplay thst popped up as you travelled.
But your counter hasnt countered. If that was the point of your video then engaging gameplay doesnt matter. You gotta solve timesinks.
As i said. You had a great take, but you reolved with comparing different genres for engaging gameplay. Im no white knight. The game isnt finished and is taking WAY too long to add rudementary, easy fixes to obviously broken things. Its not even that they have to solve some complex puzzle, most problems and solutions are plain as day.
love or hate it, make a fair comparison is all im sayin
dawg taking everything way to seriously, you seem like the mf to be told shut up and then just never talk again when asked anything
It sounds like you just need to find another game. You dislike the game enough that you already quit once. Ive never seen someone so upset about a game they keep making videos about.
thank you for noticing that I only quit once.
It sounds like he got invested in a game that sold us all promises to be better than the steaming pile of trash that it currently is.
@@Agent_Smith_Officialand i took that personally😂
The reality is probably that giving the controversial nature of this game he’s probably just milking it for all it’s got, you don’t covering something you hate unless it sells to do so.
Or to find a life.
I sense sarcasm afoot...
Thought you quit ? Does this mean you’re back ?
Another great video. You the man.
awwww
There are beds in the ship for logging out and back, I like the all process of getting in to ship and preparation if needed. This is nor mario brother.
Its never been "fun" yet!
First it has to get to the stage of "not annoying"
FUN! LOL
He is back when he was gone. And we were happy he was gone because his two cents are cringe and lame, at this point. Go and live your life dude and forget this game lol
Always got time for some Grumpy Fun!
Stop picking at it. Let it go. Your life is better without Star Citizen.
Absolutely fantastic video Grumpy thanks, the music and FUN it kept me fixated and giggling. 😅
very creative, i had fun
to be honest this video is pure gold comedy with the music lmao
hmm, no I dont want that game that you showed at the end. For me that is a childs game, I want something more mature and yes realistic.
Other than that you have some vaild points!
The game that I showcased 20 seconds of is overwatch 2. The most famous, and the most played competitive game out there. It's being played by kids and by adults.
@@GrumpyEyeGaming
ah, I see, different game genre than what I am used too.
I like it hardcore like Escape from Tarkov and DayZ. I guess that taste is like an ass - everybody has got one :)
Cheers
Accurate 😂
LolCitizen 😂 and people are paying hundreds of dollars to "play" this bullshit.
facts
Sounds like you need to find some people to play with so you can speed up the process. I think even things that ARE fun (or enjoyable at least) can become NOT FUN by it dragging out, or taking too much time. But unfortunately I don't think they could make a solo player ship that's just as efficient and fast as a multi-crew ship without it making every other possible ship obsolete (which just ruins the value of any vessels they might create or have already created...), that would also take away the reward of coordinated - or at least SOMEWHAT coordinated - team play
so don't play it....its that easy....those of us who do enjoy hull scraping and going through all that will keep the game going...
Brilliant
There are so many contradictions in what they state to what they implement. I just wish they'd be more consistent in their delivery beyond consistent contradiction 🤣
Your premise, that the game which is still in alpha and being actively developed is balanced, is false. Therefor, anything you show to try and contradict your false premise is pointless and dumb. Yes, there is a lot of tedium currently in this tech demo. It's stupid to compare it to a finished game like Half-Life. I stopped watching your video after a couple of minutes because it's about as useful as a ten minute quantum jump.
Don't play maybe? Wait a couple more years? Lol bro no one is making you play this, the fact you are back playing says you liking this or something about it lol
You have to agree that the game is a piece of shit every time you login. What’s the point of this?
As a single player on Reclaimer it is not fun at all, lol
But, very good compiled, this video!
Pick a multicrew ship alone, don't upgrade the slow QT.... Complain it's not fun. Wounder why...
