First thing I did on PC was rebind the stratagem direction to the arrow keys which allows you to move while calling in stratagems. Not sure why this isn't the default. As controllers don't have this problem it might be an advantage over mouse and keyboard but with the arrow keys it sort of solves the problem anyways.
I mean you have to take your hands off the mouse which is quite the distance on pc for most people. And anyone playing real games on laptops are idiots. @@thedankcloud840
The good: I haven't fiended this hard on a game for years. I thought I was getting too old for this stuff. The bad: Two crashes to desktop (no big whoop) and multiple connection losses during multi-play resulting in loss of mission completion rewards and player mission stats... problems persisted for several hours over two to three days, but to be fair I think the number of concurrent users is insane at this point, so the servers are groaning under the stress. I'm sure they weren't ready for the reception they've gotten. This too shall pass. Additionally, I have noticed small things like player mission stats aren't accurate (numbers of hits or kills or friendly fire damage etc) and player character settings sometimes revert to older or default settings when traveling from location to location on a planet. The same can happen with difficulty settings. Combat game play has been amazing.

that aiming mechanic for anyone unsure of why it is the way it is, one retical is where you're looking the other is where your barrel is, so you don't have to look at tracers to adjust you're shots you can physically see where you're barrel is pointing with the circle. this is milsim lite, where things like backblast and danger close matter, so making shots count MATTERS. knowing where your round is gonna go at all times is stupid helpful in the thick of it.
there are 6 planets now, 2 new ones for the bugs. you have to wait because its the loading screen same thing when you dive down. we are getting mechs soon
dont worry mechs are coming soon and possibly also vehicle's, the dev's have also made a blog post talking about future plans, like new missions, new objectives, new weapons and a whole lot of other new stuff that will help keep the game fresh :D
3:46 You can actually run while calling strategem by binding the keys used for the directional inputs to different keys than the ones used for movement. One way to do this is using WASD for movement and the arrow keys for the strategem inputs.
5:30 that’s just the planets the war was currently on, every couple days a planet will finish and new ones open up. There’s dozens of planets and environments combos
Advanced tip. You can call in stragitums while moving if you rebind the keys to arrow key so your right hand can do the inputs and can still move even run. You gonna need this tip at higher levels

Its part of Sony's live service plan so chances are very high you'll see all that and more. Unlike the first game which wasnt really a full on live service game this one is a full live service game

Btw if you are on pc you need to change your keybinds for stratagem callin to seperate movement and dialing in. On pc by default we can’t move because we have the same movement keys as the dial ones.

What sets Helldivers apart is the dev’s devotion to making a good game, not a game to make money. Helldivers 1 has had a consistently active player base for the past 9 years with no pvp. It will never be the most popular, but it is beloved because the devs believe in it for what it is, not what could change to make money.
The Original Helldivers had tanks and mech suits. I would be willing to bet they are going to happen in HD2. Loved HD1. Glad to see the sequel doing well. Many big UA-camrs have caught onto the game and so the servers are probably filling up very quickly. Great review. Keep up the good work. 👍
Personally, I think gameplay gets a 9/10. I think its unfair to give it a 7 because of your personal gripes considering there 100% going to add more as they go forward. New factions, weapons, and stratagems are all confirmed, so i dont feel like it should play much into gameplay when the core gameplay itself is fantastic. That's my 2 cents, though, and to each there own.

When directing the stratagems directional buttons, lately, I’ve been practicing using my the right hand to switch over and steer the left joystick, while keying in the directional buttons as I’m running away, on a PS controller. Still difficult but sometimes saves me from dying. 😊. Good video. I’m really enjoying the game also. Been dreaming of playing it when I get home. I just recently got back into video games, cause of my son and nephew. Only had one game on my ps5, COD, and I got tired of HC-team death match, spawn die, repeat. This game has been much more fun. Although a bit slower, realistically, but I enjoy the cooperative game play. And it’s gotten super intense, everyone shouting , hurry!!! Dive dive dive into the pelican! 😂. And then the sigh of relief when you make it! 😂😊
Flying around the battlefield and using chain swords is no good bro. This is exactly what big game companies do wrong. Cater to too much, it’s generic. The way Helldivers plays is more iconic, tactical, hilarious. Making it snappy quick and Fortnite-y won’t help
you can move if you really want to while calling an ordinance, just do the monster hunter hand on a controller or let go of the mouse on keyboard and mouse. Your gameplay critiques were pretty funny, you basically just want to be playing a starwars game but called it a lack of "mechanics" Also, i have the impression you dont understand or didnt pay attention to the Galactic war aspect of the game, just as the first one, as the players liberate the galaxy, not just you but the whole player base, it will bring new events, new planets, new factions. You can at minimum expect 1 more faction and some vehicles like a mechsuit a motorcycle and a car. Those 4 planets available you were talking about , its just the current planets hell divers are fighting to liberate, as they get liberated they also become unavailable and new planets on the system become available, you can see the liberation progress of every planet before selecting missions.

This game, the second one, is entirely based in the first one, all the things you do and the way you do them come from the first game, only with a different camera view, its a translation, so when you can't do this or that, when you want to do something like this or like that, thats why you cant, because, as of now, everything is based out of the first game, and they had to nail that before adding stuff, or mechanics, im sure things will be added later, given how good the game turned out to be. In conclusion, they wanted to make the first game with a third person point of view, and they nailed that, the game can grow from now. the first one was amazing in top down so i knew it would be good in 3rd person but im finding hell diiver 2 a hell of alot easier , if you can get into the sever that is , , hell diver is the only difficulty to play... but you have to work up to it on 2 wheras you could jump straight into helldiver difficulty in the first one

I use macros for my mouse and they work for strategems, also you can bund the directional keys to the arrow keys allowing you to run and walk while calling in strategems. Js.
Great game but it’s a mess at the moment! Connection issues and worst of all getting to the end of missions and getting no xp or rewards! Played 8 missions yesterday and only got xp and rewards from 2 of them!
No, because the connection issues are crazy when choosing quickplay with randoms. I’ve never experienced this much connection problems with any game ever.
I am all set with pvp... i like that this is pve... id like to see large scale missions where you have more than one squad of 4 on the same map... maybe some underground missions... vehicle/mech missions, hell maybe boat missions on a watery planet...

Plus you suggestions for the game are you trying to make yourself a solo god face tanking enemies. You missed the purpose of the game. When you play a 40 minute mission having a 1 min break to see how well you did and breathe is not an issue.

Yeah no, that sounds like a terrible but cool idea. Typically being in CQB with enemies that can stun/swarm you with armor plating is 100% Death.

You can simply put the buttons for up and down on the mouse wheel, then you can run away relaxed and easily call your things.
The original Helldivers has Tanks, APCs and mechs . . . maybe we'll see them in HD2 eventually

No, because the connection issues are crazy when choosing quickplay with randoms. I’ve never experienced this much connection problems with any game ever.

I am all set with pvp... i like that this is pve... id like to see large scale missions where you have more than one squad of 4 on the same map... maybe some underground missions... vehicle/mech missions, hell maybe boat missions on a watery planet...

Naw it’s not amazing.. the game doesn’t even work. Connection issues and failing to connect 90% of the time.
Your complains are extremely nick picky. I would you suggest playing something else. The loading screens are really not that bad so chill. Plus you suggestions for the game are you trying to make yourself a solo god face tanking enemies. You missed the purpose of the game. Strategy, fighting from distance because your a squishy human and most importantly TEAM WORK. MY SUGGESTION YOU SHOULD PLAY SOMETHING ELSE.

Destiny 2 and Halo clone. Arcade shooter. I prefer a more tactical shooter like Wildlands or Breakpoint.
Not a goddamn thing you said made any sense. It doesn't play anything like Halo and since when were Wildlands or Breakpoint tactical shooters (and I say that as someone who really liked Wildlands)? Especially when Breakpoint added in all the RPG elements? All the "tactical" elements in those games were surface-level, and even then, just barely.
