The way I see the Trawler, It seems more useful for final cleanup after doing a pass with a smaller, faster, more efficient salvage module. The larger area makes it easier to pick things up that you might have missed with the smaller head.
Great point!
The overall rates of the trawler is better though, so assuming you have a big enough surface area, and you want to maximize the amount of RMC per second, you want to use the trawler, at the expense of wasting more of salvage claim. In general I've found that it's best to swap in the smallest head from the Vulture, and minmax. Use the tiny cinch head for small parts of the ship (where you get more RMC/sec than you do with the trawler since the target is smaller than the trawler's area) and then do wide areas with trawler.
Yeah you get more total if you use a smaller head for the whole thing, but it's easier to get more ships so time is more valuable.
I love that star kitten mug haha! I will pirate that and ONLY that if we cross paths in the verse soon. Loved the video mate
I love how everyone is testing the reclaimer and all find the broken elevator, let's see if CIG is fixing that elevator to or just pretend that it's not there....like it's not broke since 3.21
One elevator needs to be crucially broken or it wouldn't be the Reclaimer it feels like lol
@DedLeader 🤣 yea that sounds actually like real reason behind it...I imagine the dev team now like..ayyy so we got this new feature in but we need to break something that did work so what are the possibilities...let's brake the small elevator....ay, done. 🤣👍
Yeah a one in one out policy!
I've been crediting you with the internal buffer! I heard that idea here first!
I mean it's unlikely they even watched it but it's good for my ego thinking someone took it into account lol
this is legit gripping entertainment lol
20:24 none of them got a crimestat cuz you weren't in range of a comms station
AHhHHhhh interesting!
@@CyborgeWashington smart lil cheeky buggers
There are many other places to do salvage other than In the Wake of Disaster locations. If you are going to a shared location, while the testing focus is salvage, you're pretty much commiting to entering salvage jumptown.
If it takes too long to spawn you back in you lose the option to press charges.
You can actually get away with a fair because of the way they implemented it.
The "Salvage the Salvager" gambit was totally salvage!!
In reading and watching the salvage payout was blotted. The problem was people did not find anywhere to sell the goods. AWESOME video. 🙂
You could have arranged your boxes wile traveling in hyperspace, that way it's less boring to travel.
construction materials sell at admin office
I read in the latest patch they added it to the Orison TDD terminals now!
really CM sell at TDD now? that will be easier to sell both RMC and CM@@DedLeader
@@popoymolah yeah it wouldn't really make sense to not sell them both there. It would be cool if you could sell it at salvage yards for a higher price tho. Run the risk of getting hijacked for it lol
we like it dangerous @@DedLeader
They really, really, REALLY need to do a polish pass on the Reclaimer. It needs a large docking collar so badly, and the elevators being broken (in the sense the back on doesn't go all the way down to the ground, and the front one is unusable from outside) is really frustrating. I also think they should add a door to the cargo area so you can EVA and load cargo from the side.
No Comm Sats in the Area of The Wake of Disaster.
The most efficient way to stack all these things is probatly not to store them in the Salvage-Processing Deck, but in the Cargo Hold?! The grid in the processing is a bug. it sould be in the Salvage hold, where is none. But to finally store the boxes, you should use the Cargo Hold.
You sell it at Admin
That might solve problems with getting cargo out of the Carrack because I hate having to hard death it.
the claw area of effect is too big, it should be as strong but hit a smaller area that it vaporizes, than suck it up, you would need to be precise with the claw to aim at specific location and open holes in the hull to remove large components. As for today, it should break appart the elements of the ship aimed at and not the whole ship.
Love the belching Bobble Head.
Absolutely _based_ Star Kitty mug user.
*nods in deeper understanding*
that camping the salvage field on eptu seriously needs to get a life.
It wasn't so bad, I could have (and did) leave at any time to avoid him, but I pushed it because I thought it would be funny to ram him in defiance lol
And it helps find exploits and stuff out now, like how I didn't get to report getting killed for being fractured to death while in soft death!
How much did he get for your mats?
I'm super looking forward to salvaging once it "releases" to the real alpha server haha
Why people voted vulture over relcaimer this year 😢 this patch is gonna be pretty epic if you got a friend with a reclaimer cos by my guess one can make loads of Dosh and cig just raised the pricr of all ship rentals and sales
Sell CM at admin terminals
Do you just leave the reclaimer floating outside? Isn't it still too big to land in a hanger?
@@DedLeaderthere is an admin terminal on Providence platform between shuttles and cousin crows
@DedLeader, You land on the planet of your choice, the main cities have landing hangars large enough, then run to the admin office terminal. I like Lorville nut they all can be used.
The admin terminals on the factory platform on orison are my favorite
its salvage or beeing salvaged.
baffling that the strategy was to salvage salvagers... in the middle of a salvage field. That's not piracy or even clever, that's just griefing and it needs to be reportable and bannable.
Edit: To clarify I'm talking about on the PTU where it just prevents feature testing. I have no problem with it on the Live build but still don't think it's clever, you'll get maybe one kill and then people just won't go to that mission anymore, or worse a salvage team hires a redeemer crew to wreck your shit.
lol what
It make much more sense to do it on the live PU compared to the EPTU.
Have this one salvage meal? Or use it as bait for INFINITE salvage lol
But yeah on the EPTU if you did it a bunch you'd just be stopping people from testing the game. That being said, if they found out exploits with the mechanics then this could allow them to patch it for live release.
Seems a pretty valid piracy technique how is it greifing?
@@shotgunmcshotgun1142 Average 'pirate'.
It’s wild how every inconvenience should be a ban able offense to some ppl, god forbid you do anything other than gameplay loops
