The way Maggie just stood up there so proud giving her step-by-step Martha Stewart instructions had me smilin' from ear to ear the whole time! 😁 That girl!! Just so dad burn precious!! And I have my oven preheating right this minute to make a cake cuz you girls made me hungry for one. If only I had a big glass of cold FRESH milk to go with it. If Norman Rockwell was still putting out calendars of the real American family, y'all would be smack dab right in the middle of that thang. I see so much of my childhood recreated in your videos (except us kids did 90% of the chores!😂). Thanks for the lift to my evening. God Bless!!

The other night helping Andy do the electric lights on the new trailer. The children are skilled and smart beyond their years, always eager to learn and help take care of the homestead! We eat potato soup pretty often. I put some onion in with my potatoes. Sometimes a bit of celery and carrots for color, more than taste. Salt, pepper, bacon of course, and we like it with cornbread. I use milk and cornstarch for thickening. Simple, but delicious. Country cooking!

❤❄️❄️❄️ Maggie put a smile on my face as she put the ingredients in the cake….and not only that but obviously she had been taught before and this wasn’t her first cake! What a good Momma you are, Meagan! ❤️ Potato soup is a favorite of mine. As a matter of fact I love most all soups! I have never seen any made like yours exactly. I love to see new recipes. A friend gave me a really good recipe years ago and I’ve used it ever since. I boil my potatoes and about a half an onion diced, salt and pepper. Boil until fork tender and drain the liquid off. Put a can of cream of celery soup (you can also finely chop up a little bit of celery as well) in the potato pot. Stir it up and add a little Half and Half at a time to get to your desired thickness. You could probably used some heavy cream and regular milk in place of the Half and Half. I’m pretty much a “plain vanilla “ kind of gal, but you can use this recipe into a loaded potato soup by adding some shredded cheese, sour cream, and bacon. Save a sprinkle of each to pretty up each bowl of soup. Voila!! Bom Appetite! Ask me if I usually make the pretty soup bowl??? Nah! 😂 I like this recipe because it’s easy and doesn’t take long to make it. I eat cornbread with mine. I always have left overs so when I heat it up the next day I add a little more of the milk because it will thicken more in the fridge over night. Y’all be safe and stay warm! Btw, Meagan, don’t say you are not a baker! Cake looked great. You know how I said I’m a plain vanilla type of gal….i like white cake with white icing (really love almond flavoring) Favorite cookie, sugar cookie. Take care, my friends. See you next video. And I always learn something. 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❄️❄️❄️❄️

Hey Andy, I want to compliment you on your bearing packing technique. While watching you I was wondering how you was going to pack the bearings and low an behold you did it flawless. While growing up I spent most of my time with my grandparents as both my parents chose public work. My grandfather did show me how to do alot of things to do on the farm that I would had not learned without him. The way you packed your bearings is the exact way he showed me !! I will say how my grandfather would installed the hubs was to tighten them snug till there was no in and out movement on the axle shaft and then tighten the split nut, (thats what we called it) to align with the hole for the cotter pin. Never had a issue doing it this way. Another trick to help know where the hole is in the axle is, take a grinder and grind a small mark on the end of the axle shaft to locate the hole through the shaft. Love watching your videos, brings back so many memories !!! Keep up the great work !

Thanks Megan for the potato soup recipe. About 25yrs ago I stumbled upon a recipe and I've made it that way since. I put cubed potatoes, water, onions and celery and just enough water to get the taters almost done and the water has reduced to about an inch left. Then add evaporated milk (as many cans as you want juice in the pot). And simmer till taters are the perfect texture. Add salt and pepper to taste and girl I can eat on that for days! But I'm gonna give yours a try. Blessings y'all!

Andy most Ford F250 & 350 diesel trucks have a block heater from the factory.. The plug is located inside the frame on the passenger side.. you can pull it out the grill ( I wire tied mine to the grill) then just plug it into a wall socket.. It will keep your block warm all night best of all it will start on he first try almost ever time..

34:19 it’s gotten to the point where if you have to take equipment somewhere to have it worked on… GOOD LUCK !! My luck has been I’ll take it in with the problem and when I pick it back up there’s 2-3 additional problems. It seems to me like the labor skills in the work force is in a downward spiral !
Meagan I believe you should give yourself a pat on the back and take more credit for the cake ! I mean if you’re not a baker… sure looks good to me. However, the main course looked delicious but you cannot claim all the credit on that meal. I believe you were bailed out with some help. lol. Maggie is to cute cracking them eggs and all ! Your dinner definitely made me hungry !!

Looks delicious. I just made a big pot of Potato leek soup, I use beef bone broth in mine with lots of onions and garlic. Lightly thickened with added cracked pepper and redmond real salt and some fresh shredded parm on top. It's omg so good for a cold snowy day. We are have sub zero weather for the next few days and I'm not looking forward to frozen chicken and duck water.

tighten the bearing up tight turn the drum and tighten it up again do it untill it dont tighten up any more then loosen the nut until you can turn it by hand then snug it up and put the cotter pin in . that will seat the bearing on the spindal all the way.
