Several of my holsters the back of the thumb break is only one layer of about 9oz leather, and have the metal tab riveted and on the back (away from the gun) of the leather. Do you see any problem with that, it seems like a matter of taste to me and desire for appearances as well as fit and finish, but also makes it easier for me as it’s removing steps?

I prefer using 2 layers of leather, this creates a hinge point in the holster for the break.

Where can you get the templates you use to draw your belt loops and curves? They would sure make drawing a lot easier.

I'm new to leather working so a newbie question for you. The tutorial is great but for me I need to see a tutorial or two on your patterns actually used to cut the leather. That will make it all click into place.
