I've had them for 2 years now in Minnesota. They are just now starting to wear out. Fingers wearing thru, threading ripped. Otherwise...they have surprised me. I thought they would not hold up at all. They are perfect for chores in the cold, 10 to 0 F maybe. And i have used much colder. Chopping/carrying wood, working on car, feeding animals. They give you ENOUGH dexterity to do most chores. And can actually warm up your hands some. Like Arron said, they are a compromise, but i think fill a good niche. Especially for the price! Way tougher than i thought.
I've got a pair of them but I ran into the opposite problem. The large was to small and had to go with a X large. I use mine for work. They to retain moisture like you said. Over all they are a good glove. Thanks for the great video.
Greta review. I bought mine at a local establishment and was able to try them on. Your size assessment is spot on. And I would agree with the dexterity... I am expecting them to break in like most Mechanix gloves. I like them for day-to-day wear. Keep up the great, concise reviews!
I have been wearing mine for about a year now. Love them. Use them in a walk in freezer environment on daily basis and move a lot of frozen products. I have yet to experience wet hands. Sizing for me is that they run smaller than the hi impact mechanix gloves or their tactical gloves. Highly recommend the mechanix line if gloves. I also have all three styles.
I’m looking for a pair of waterproof, touchscreen compatible warm, highly durable, and thin cold weather gloves for regular EDC I can preferably tighten with a cuff or something that of course will keep my hands warm and dry in any conditions, but also thin enough to where I can still handle knives, multitools, pens, wallets, the occasional shooting trip, etc with NO significant problems. Should these mechanix gloves be my go to for my desires?
Thanks for doing vids on all kinds of gear, and especially thanks for keeping many of these vids well under under 10 minutes! Time is precious these days and it seems like many gear reviewers' vids are getting 20-35 minutes long...I often don't have half an hour to sit and watch a video so it may go weeks before I can get to it. Keep it 15-20 minutes MAX, and keep the sub-10 minute vids coming!
ottergt Thank you so much my friend, I am always try to keep it as tight as possible. I asked myself what I see here and watch this for this long. Thank you for your continued support!
I'm the exact same way. If a video is over 15 minutes it gets put off until the weekend...... or never. And usually if a simple review goes past 10 minutes the video is inflated with a lot of unrelated opinion or rambling. Keep at it, Aaron!
Solid review Aaron, I have also noticed that their sizing is funny lately. I usually wear XL for mechanix but a couple of their designs were way out of my range. Did you find these kept you decently warm if you aren't moving around often?
I stole a pair of these from my dad a few weeks ago 😂 they work great at work! They're huge on my hands but I have long fingers so it works out in the end
I would have to disagree on the sizing for mechanix gloves, unless that is specifically talking about the cold weather line. I find they fit small, I need an XL mechanix glove and I wouldn't necessarily call my hands XL
Not sure if you have already because I’m a new subscriber but have you made a knife sharpening technique video in the past? If not is that something you would consider for us that are just getting into knives

Thanks for your reviews on all that you do.
Hello I'm your subscriber I have one question I can't decide the Bk10 or the Rat 5 I would mostly for camping tasks and skinning, cooking and bushcraft work. I want something stronger Which do you think I should buy? please help me
but i want strong than Garberg, ESEE4, Mater hunter But my country needs complicated procedures to have a blade length of more than 15cm so ESEE6 no Is there a good knife within 15cm of the day?
I pulled the trigger on these ones. And after testing them out for the last 2 months this is my findings I picked these up simply out of curiosity to see how effective they are in colder conditions, I went out for 2 days in the bush and these are all I took.. Temps only went down to -3 Celsius, but these gloves kept my hands warm.. I suspect for obvious reasons, they wont keep your digits warm in extreme temp drops and certain activities(There not water resistant)... I suggest buying a size bigger than what you normally get, and pair them with wool gloves(Minus 33) would do the job.. Then you have a good set up.. www.amazon.ca/dp/B00DQSYJD2/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0

Hey Aaron, now you can tell us all that you have medium size hands ! Keep 'em coming my friend.
Id assume they might be bigger so that you could layer them on top of other gloves
What would you recommend for a cold weather shooting glove?
You should design your own knife it would be a BIG hit, also great vid I love machanics gloves
You look like one of the guys from the old movie dream catcher... gloves seems ok
Reef Surfer . He looks like jonsie !
hehe!;-)
That's why I subbed here a long time ago tbh haha
YOU'RE NOT JONESY!

these retain moisture and leave your hands wet..the wind barrier is apparently plastic sheet.

Agreed
Especially when many also morph into a d.j. or copter pilot
Solid review Aaron, I have also noticed that their sizing is funny lately. I usually wear XL for mechanix but a couple of their designs were way out of my range. Did you find these kept you decently warm if you aren't moving around often?
Edward Thibodeau ya a lot of that day was standing not burning energy and they worked well.
I stole a pair of these from my dad a few weeks ago 😂 they work great at work! They're huge on my hands but I have long fingers so it works out in the end
Looks like the Humdinger knife review is coming up.
So would you recommend these for working outside? Like construction in cold weather?
The Swanky Gents I would say yes
I would have to disagree on the sizing for mechanix gloves, unless that is specifically talking about the cold weather line. I find they fit small, I need an XL mechanix glove and I wouldn't necessarily call my hands XL
What about mechanix element? I am looking for warm gloves for hunting that can allow me to shoot with them
I will be buying these luv mechanic gloves didn’t even know they had winter ones sweet thanx for the info
Barry Bueler glad to hear it
Glad u made the video thumbs 👍
thanks for the new info, didn't know about size increase, my hands get cold easy, will be getting these gloves this week on payday, again thanks.
The size increase is to trap warm air during winter
What is your hand measurement.
Are they waterproof?
That east wing hatchet thing in the beginning had me laughing out loud 😂 wasn’t even chopping into the wood it was just smashing it

Why such a big blade? For those tasks check out ESEE4, Mora Garberg, Cold Steel Master Hunter, Becker BK16, or Fällkniven S1. Good luck :)
If you really want a bigger blade, ESEE6 and TOPS Silent Hero are both super strong and capable in the woods. Gideonstactical has reviews on both.
thanks bro
but i want strong than Garberg, ESEE4, Mater hunter But my country needs complicated procedures to have a blade length of more than 15cm so ESEE6 no Is there a good knife within 15cm of the day?
Red Roan Sorry I would like to correct what I said was a strong one. I want to buy a new line.
Got these for Christmas...they’re ok. Their palm material stiffens up in the teens, not very grippy. Otherwise warm enough.
When is the video on that CRKT Ken Onion blade ? Sooo Medium Gloves , Huh .... lol.

Nope. Best reviews are for extended use ONLY
