Great review. I have the original one and I enjoy it. I have heard the issue of the smaller diameter "Go". Especially if you have a favorite insulated mug.
I like it, and the original, and the price is actually pretty fair, especially compared to other portable systems, but, don't you still need to bring a mug to boil water with?
I'm a die hard Aeropress fan. Haven't upgraded to the Go yet, but plan to. I have 2 originals, both with a Prismo on them (best aftermarket add-on ever) but would like a more portable version. A new AP Go and new grinder are in the works. Thanks, Aaron!
@@Radoslaw731 Because the second you grind a coffee bean, the timer begins. Coffee ground within the past 7 hours is supposed to be noticeably better than pre-ground. It also gives you more control over your brew. Grind size is an easy variable to change as you find the right recipe for each bean, along with contact time, water temp and your ratios. But, if you already have a favorite bean and get the cup you want from the ground coffee, that is all that matters. No need to involve extra gear if you don't need it!
I was thinking to buy the other one but this on is much better. I'm so happy that I've waited till this one came out. Do you know by any chance will it fit inside the Toaks Titanium 750 ml pot?
@@gideonstactical on their website they say 10 cm diameter and toaks is 9.4 cm internal diameter but I stil don't know that 10 cm is it for the lower part or for the lid. I asked because I know you use the toaks 750ml pot...

Aero press plastic degrades. The rubber seal fails. 6 months use.
Steve Syncox good to know. I’ve been considering one but never pulled the trigger.
Others have had theirs last a decade. Treat it well and don't store it with the plunger compressed.
