I remember actually enjoying Pet Sim 2 because it was almost free, interesting and not so repetitive as Pet Sim 1. But yeah, after the failure of Pet Sim 2 he probably was disappointed in players and made Pet Sim X

Here’s to hoping the “get the rarest legendary pet by gambling” genre of games starts to die out completely. Pets are cool and all but the whole “rarity” system is specifically designed to pinch as much money from kids as possible. If you wanna put pets in your game just make them all common.

i played pet sim x until summer 2023, i had like 10 huge pets and had most of the gamepasses, but i quit during that event. these are the main reasons: 1. it was boring, all there was to do for me was grind for more huges. 2. it got too ptw, even if i had gamepasses. the titanics would make you spend thousands of dollars to get, and i have braincells. but not getting all those made me insanely behind compared to others. each push I made would only push it a little bit. 3.i was playing other games that in my opinion are better and wouldnt make me spend my life to grind on. honestly I'm glad i quit.
I played PSX until May 2023 for the same reasons lol, tbh i still find it nostalgic looking back at february march and april (i got a titanic in february cuz of the neon exclusive eggs but i traded it away so big loss), tho i really wanna try the pet sim game thats releasing today
You are not alone. I quit this piece of crap a few months ago. It was way too boring and unfair. My brother got 2 huges in A WEEK. And he was so mad that it wasn't me getting the huges cuz I deserved them. Meanwhile I was playing for a whole year and a half and guess what? Not a single huge pet! I alsoquit for the same reasons as you.
Blox fruits and The Strongest Battlegrounds are 200 times better.

Ah man Mining Simulator was actually a good game. Sure, it was a bit p2w but they actually addressed some of that. I remember they had this gems update where you could get insane items even as f2p players. The most expensive thing in the game was a mythical scytche (5000 robux) and there was an item that you could get without robux,some kind of hammer, which was probably close to the scytche. Ofcourse, it was hard to get but unlike Preston, the devs weren't sellouts.

I still play Mining Simulator to this day. Mining Simulator and the original Pet Simulator are great.
Mining simulator has a glitch for me where certain ores can't be mined even when I have the needed tool or better

It’s honestly unfortunate that there are so many people who enjoy Preston’s games. He doesn’t deserve it at all after everything he’s done [not repeating everything, you should already know what he’s done].
IMO his simulators are extremely bland and boring, it’s the same thing over and over.
fr, started playing pet sim x and everything you can do is click on piles of money to buy more pets. Ive not seen many interesting features and mechanics other than: have 5 of same pet -> make slightly better pet (That is literally useless after like 30 min of playtime.). And I'm a person who actually enjoys braindead sims (to further make my point, I'm currently playing cookie incremental and THAT is braindead af, still has 10 times the amount of interesting mechanics than psx xD).
Because the majority of the playerbase are children and they dont know anything about it and very naive so its super easy to do stuff like that and get awat with it super easily.

No matter how bad the backlash gets, no matter how many times you 'expose' them, this will never reach the scope of the main playerbase of Pet Sim. Hundreds of millions of players who are likely really young & it's not like ROBLOX themselves will get involved when this is their most profitable developer.
This guy is ridiculously rich & has become an unstoppable force.
And not only that but hundreds of them don't even speak english, they just wouldn't know about this all because it's in a different language

Pet Sim 99 is already very fun as a F2P but I fear it’s going to end up in much the same way X did. The game’s been out for like, what, two weeks at most? And already the diamond inflation is happening. The “worst” huge pet right now is creeping up in price at 100k per day, for example.

Pet Sim X and 99 are just the pinnacle of the degenerative state of modern Roblox. The fact that Preston got a reward for making bank off of gambling for kids just tells every developer "Hey, if you wanna be popular and wealthy, stuff as many gacha/gambling systems into your games as you can. Treat your child audience as an army of walking wallets"

Im gonna say it rumble studios knows how to make a simulator, they dont shove the purchases in your face (atleast not as much as every simulator) it has the different engaging ways of progressing and pioneered how the simulator formula would work witch was do thing to progress to get to new world repeat so on so forth. Plus they dominated the front page with mining simulator and bubblegum simulator being massive hits. they just know how to do a simulator without needing 50 gamepasses (note there is quite a bit of bias in my favor of rumble studios as they were what hooked me onto roblox in the first place.)
I remember when all of the Roblox UA-camrs were playing bubble gum simulator, and in my opinion it’s one of the best simulators to date!
Nahh bro just look at bgs, the whole point of it is to hatch better pets to get better, you progress by going afk grinding 24/7 with little to no gameplay at all. And the p2w aspects was a lot more than you think, for example if you have 3x hatch gamepass, you save 3x more time than those who are f2ps. Plus mining simulator 2 is just bubble gum simulator and mining simulator 1 merged into one piece of crap with the same grinding method
