Love your videos but not sure about TM. Its the same problem i've had with similar types of sites. Thrive market makes you give personal info before you can see what the offer and what products cost.
It's crazy seeing your kids as they grow!! I never think I've been following a channel long until I look back and see how young the kids were when I started watching!!
I normally do not do pantry clean outs as have a storage plan with pantries and freezers inventoried , rotate first in, first out. Only buy store specials, dairy, and produce weekly. Cook from scratch mostly and do a lot of dehydrating, batch cooking, etc. Well life blew up with multiple family illnesses. Just realized we have been living on stocked food for over a 8 weeks! Have only bought milk & fresh fruit 3 times. And my wonderful husband picked up pizza and a couple of gallons of sweet tea one day when I was exhausted. Love my guy and happy to know my systems works.
If you wanted to use the large things of frozen ground beef for tacos, I suggest just throwing them in your instant pot and pressure cooking them. No need to thaw! Then just drain the fat and throw the meat back into it with water and seasoning, use the sauté feature, and cook the rest of the way like you normally would. Saves a bunch of time and only 1 pot to clean!
I’m still doing my extreme kitchen cleaning out ( fridge, freezers, & pantry) since January ( new year’s) the only thing I buy is milk & produce. It’s crazy. I’ve even gave food away.
The struggle is so real to walk away from a deal! Freezer is maxed out and pantry is full so.... limiting this monthly shopping to fresh produce only. Lord wish me luck🍀
I am like you in that I cannot leave a food deal go. My diet is so limited now that when I see my diet-approved meats I can freeze on sale, I get them. Since our kids are out of the house, I didn't really need a 15 cu.ft freezer any longer, but when it gave out after 20 years of life, it forced me to re-think my food storage needs, and we went to an upright freezer half that size, and I am very happy with it. My side by side fridge is usually full of frozen foods, so the extra freezer space is useful. Additionally, I found open weave plastic baskets fitting my space needs for the freezers, and they act as 'drawers,' letting me pull out everything on that shelf, not allowing anything to become 'lost' in there. I took measurements with me to the store and found exactly what I needed. This may help you with your freezer as well. Thanks for all your fun videos!
I just did a big pantry clean out and filmed it. It’s always fun to see what all you have lying around that needs to get used and what you can make with it 😊. Thanks for the inspiration Christine!
Your pantry/freezer clean out videos are my favorite! Also ... I *didn't* totally pause the video because I couldn't remember what I put in the microwave and was wondering where the beeping was coming from only to realize it was your microwave 😂😂 it's like in your kitchen, Christine! Lol
I am watching this 6 days late because I just got back from tent camping in Moab! My hack this trip was pre-boiling the brats at home. All we had to do was put 'em on a stick and roast them over the fire. Definitely made dinners easier after rafting all day!
Great video! My mom was an unbelievable cook. It would look like there was nothing in the freezer and pantry, then voila! A delicious meal appeared. The joke was if she said there is nothing to eat, then it was serious, and yhe rest of us had to up our cooking game.
Great idea…..cooking from the pantry/freezer. I agree with your daughter’s shirt…Take me to the mountains… forget the beach..if I want to sweat I’ll go outside….love your videos
I do a pantry clean out every year at this time. I stop buying in May (unless it’s just TOO good a deal!) and start cooking solely from pantry and freezers. We end up with some interesting meals and some real keepers. Love your videos!
Every time I see Tyler I just want to give him the biggest hug! (I mean that in the most non creepy mom/aunty way!) He seems like an absolute sweetheart.
First want to say I love your videos and energy. I’ve watched many and will continue to enjoy what you share. But with that said I was confused or feel misdirected with this one. We are moving and I truly need to clean our two fridges, freezers, and pantry and I thought that was what I was about to watch, based on the thumbnail and title. But half way through I’m realizing it’s a camping trip menu and I saw full freezer and great recipes but no content on cleaning them. I would have enjoyed this more had it been titled correctly.. I will note it for next camping trip but not for cleaning
Love, love, love the chicken salad caesar wraps!!!!!! I got the idea and recipe from you, Christine and the hubby and I LOVE it!!!! The only change I made is that we use "taco cups" instead of wraps. Tasty, a lot easier to use and less messy. Thanks Christine!!!!! God Bless!!!!!
I love Thrive Market! Thank you for all the great things you do. Also, if you are a teacher, firefighter, police officer, etc or low income-you can apply for a membership gift.
Suggestion for what I was think is chicken nuggets at 10:26 - grilled cheese sandwiches with chicken nuggets inside! This is a total nostalgia/comfort food for me as it was served at the dining hall at my college. Sounds weird, but it's really good. I like to dip my sandwich in ketchup. I bet it would be delicious with your homemade bread! Just cook the nuggets according to the package and then make grilled cheese the way you like it adding the nuggets in there before you cook them. cheese melts them in place and then you are done!
Ohhhh cha!! Christine is Creole! I know some Cajuns that would throw you in the bayou for okra & tomatoes in gumbo! Or even mixing seafood with chicken and sausage. Just shows how very different neighboring regions of Louisiana are! I need some boiled eggs and mashed potato salad in gumbo. 😋 😋 😋 🍲 It all looks delicious and I'm jealous of that bread! It is absolutely beautiful 😍
I love love Pink Puffy Heart Love your descriptions. A dark penny 😂 thank how i cook and give directions. Turn right at the tree that looks like a upside-down taffy apple ❤😂❤😂
When I get nuggets my kids won't eat, I prepare them til they have a nice crisp. While they cook, I make ziti and open some spaghetti sauce. From there you can chop the nuggets into bite size pieces or leave whole. Then, either hide the nuggets in the baked ziti, or assemble a baked ziti, and top it with the crispy breaded nuggets pieces. A good way to use them up and it's a quick dinner! A lazy chicken Parm type dish.
Short grain white rice like Asian style is, wash rice and rinse. Fill pot of rice using your finger. Put on the stove uncovered bring it to a rolling boil, then cover and turn down the heat to low until it’s ready.
I am a deal addict. All cabinets, shelves, 2 fridges with freezers and 1 large stand up freezer. ALL FULL!!! I have a garden. I made a deal with my husband. Except for milk and juices, I will not grocery shop for 2 months. There is an old world mediterean store not far from me. I buy Basmati rice in 20 lb bags for $15. They have huge pallets of all kinds of rice.
I'm hooked on the Aldi brand of Oreos love them way to much. Have to limit my buying of them because I could eat them all in 4 days and I might have did that
I have just recently found your fantastic videos on UA-cam. I have hit the like button on every single one. I find you highly amusing. Love, love, love the music and movie references (Whiskey Business; Liar, Liar; Shrek) but then you go an hit me with a Princess Bride clip... I had to comment. Your ideas are great, you are very charismatic and funny and I enjoy your sensible cooking. Thanks!
Having a variety in my freezer saved my butt last month for memorial day weekend. I had my 6ft 5 20 yr old son over 3 days for 2 meals ea. Was totally able to make do with what I had.
How do you refrigerate all these items while you're camping? My husband and I mostly do backpacking so we never do anything that requires refrigeration.
That gumbo recipe is definitely different than our family recipe, but I’m thrilled to find out you have Cajun roots. Makes it clearer why I’ve been drawn to your content. 🤣
Great job using it up! I'm doing that this month. I cleaned out the freezers, yes we have more than one. I know what needs to be used, what's been in there long enough, you know. I do a 2-4 week of this so my husband doesn't catch on. :) Doing great now though!
I save my crab legs and or shrimp tails and can my own stock. The instant pot makes broth/stock making easy from dinner scraps. Some nights I can do it in the time it takes me to do dinner dishes and a load of laundry before bed.
We like to camp on a river beach, and the only access is by kayak or canoe. Cooking dinners ahead of time and just warming it over the fire is imperative! I try to keep everything confined to tortillas as well as there's no way to wash dishes between use, and that's just more to cram in the boat anyway! But next time we're site camping, I'm fully stealing the instant pot in the car idea! Genius!
My husband makes curry and no matter how often it's never often enough. We invite neighbors over and everyone loves it with rice and naan. You should try making curry.
I got a similar 4-season sectioned container from Aldi. The only difference is mine was a taco season collection. I had the same problem with some of the seasoning getting stuck in the container and I also ended up mixing up some of the seasonings while trying to empty the container
If you taste test your food along with your family would be an added advantage.. for you and for all your viewers...i love you and your energy...this is from It
OMG Christine, that gumbo looks AMAZING! I’ve had Shrimp boil before, but I’ve never had Gumbo like you made. I wanted to dive through my screen & have a bowl. Your bread looked fantastic too. YUM, there’s nothing better than warm bread!!! I think there’s some bread making in my near future! Despite the fact that you don’t spend a ton on your groceries, your family eats like kings, you are a fantastic cook!! Great video!
I just love your videos!! You ate a HOOT!! Thanks for taking us along as you clean out your pantry and fridge/freezer. You gave me some ideas of what to do with mine.
That’s It fruit bars are a big hit for my girls, mainly the strawberry based flavors. And they don’t have anything my youngest is allergic to which is a huge bonus!
When my mom and I would travel we would have tons of snacks. There were a few times I would make sausage balls and that would be breakfast and that would give us more drive time. I love rice. I have soley products. I have them for if my blood sugar gets really low. I have family friends that love when I bake or cook. They never know what they will get. They are glad I'm back to feeling like cooking and baking. I love thrive market
I love all your videos but I think this one is one of my favorites! Watching your thought process just confirms what goes on in my head as well…so comforting to see it-:)
Have you ever tried cooking frozen ground beef in the instant pot, game changer. Going to try the Lasagna soup in the IP next time, instant of the slow cooker, which surprisingly work well. Definitely for when I forget in the mornings 🤪 Loved the photos @ the end 💜
@@itsjustme.7059 no, you break it up after cooking it. I use the chop and stir type tool to do it with. You do need to put water in the pot for the pressure and a rack to keep the meat off the bottom. I struggled with ground turkey breaking down to much, but cooking it this way works best for me.
I am getting ready to do a freezer and pantry meal plan for the next couple of weeks. My pantry is a 4 foot long closet that is 7 feet tall. Not bad for an apartment pantry/closet. My freezer is overflowing so now is the time

Hi. What temperature do bake the French bread at and for how long?
Love your videos but not sure about TM. Its the same problem i've had with similar types of sites. Thrive market makes you give personal info before you can see what the offer and what products cost.
If I had a load of groceries every time Christine said she was going to clean out the freezer 😂😂
Brahahahaha!!! And she's taught us so well!!!!
You’d have a freezer and pantry full of groceries like Christine! 😂
I know, right? lol that or every time she has a pantry cooking challenge lol

It's your personality that makes these videos.
"Storing the bodies of chickens!" I love it when I have the same thoughts as Christine and she just says the things!!
Would love to see a weekly tally of what was used up during the week to see how much you’re clearing out.
Yay!!! Best day of the week is when Christine posts!
And I’m first!!! Whoop!
"Large enough to store a body in it.... not that I'm doing that. Actually, I'm storing the bodies of chickens!" 😂 That one got me.
The struggle is so real to walk away from a deal! Freezer is maxed out and pantry is full so.... limiting this monthly shopping to fresh produce only. Lord wish me luck🍀

I hope so since my grandma taught it to me! ;)

Designate one freezer for meat (storage room) and then the rest of the freezers for vegetables, fruit, and the smallest one to butter, bread etc.
Love from India.,love your energy and enthusiasm!!!

Does it break apart when you cook it that way? I’ve never tried it, but it would be so much more convenient when I’ve forgotten to take it out.

Yay! I love it! Another freezer/pantry clean out. You are fun and inspiring!
I LOOOVVVEEE your videos. Long time viewer. I’m glad you tried the Oreos. Again, L❤VE your personality and videos.
While I love seeing what you're cooking, I would also love to know what you thought about each meal. Thanks! Love these videos.
