This project is turning out to be very succesful for the viewers. I'm glad to the opportunity came up for you guys, and especially glad that I get to watch free of charge.
If that attachment doesn't put the fear in you, nothing will! Monster indeed! It was fun to watch from the safety of my living room. Thanks for showing it.
That would be a great attachment for land clearing. I’ve seen them on larger machines but never knew they were also made for tractors! Thanks for sharing!
I could definitely see lots of use for this on my 5acres! I have never seen one of those in action, that looks like its worth the money! Thank you for sharing!
Good morning Tim and Mrs. Tim. LOL. Enjoyed the video today, and excellent job making sure she was protected from flying debris. She looked great! Good demo of the unit - certainly means business out there and is very capable. I think, at over 1,000 lbs in weight , it would not be a good attachment for the smaller segment of compact tractors but certainly the higher end size of compact, and utility tractors of course. One thing I wanted to see is what happens to it when it runs into rocks. There was one shot there where it was approaching a small rock but you stopped short. Generally, when you have a field of overgrowth to clear, there will be rocks hidden in there which you will not be able to see until after the unit hits them. It would be good to see what happens after running over a few. More importantly, what type of damage might occur. Thanks again. If you still have the unit and have the opportunity again, perhaps you can run it through sections where rocks exist. Have a wonderful week!
Thanks for the comments GP. It MIGHT actually work on your B2601. I suspect you could pick it up. Anyway, the manual specifically said to avoid rocks at all costs UNTIL you have run it a few hours. It said that new teeth are more susceptible to damage by rocks. Once worn a bit, they can handle rocks a bit better. I don't know what that means in practice. We don't have as many rocks here as you do (at least I suspect that is the case).
Those forestry mulchers are great!. Large ones installed on large skid steers are used to clear forest lands for wildlife habitat development... The idea is to start the cycle of grasses, high stem count brush, saplings, etc. over again to provide food and cover for wildlife. They are also used to restore grasslands for grassland birds (pheasants). Those projects also help with water quality and erosion as the grasses and high stem count brush slow the flow of water and limit erosion compared to mature trees. I've seen then used for projects for Audubon Society, Ruffed Grouse Society, and NYS Department of Environmental Conservation. They are also good for timber stand improvement projects... What I particularly like about them is they don't leave punji sticks like the rotary mowers. Great tool... hang onto it!
That is exactly what I need! I didn’t realize they existed for a 3 point. I’d just need to rent one though. Once I clear the area, I can maintain it with a mower. I’d call it “The Eraser!”
Keith Navarro upstate brush control channel uses this attachment and they got a huge rope caught in theirs. The rope was what people raised and lowered tools from power lines. It was a mess. Good channel to check out.
I think Upstate Brush Control uses the FECON mulching head but it’s a similar concept and that was an interesting episode when the snared the rope. Better rope than cable!
That thing is a beast! It would be great for making trails in woods. Also a great 1st implement for clearing an area for a hunter’s food plot! It would be ideal to be a rental implement from a dealer.
Tim, thanks for showing this implement. It works like a champ, and if I had a lot of that kind of brush to address, I would consider getting one. However, the price I found on the machine was over $10k.
You two are hilarious! One of the many reasons that Mike and I love this channel:) Kristie looks like an astronaut in that suit and helmet LOL. That attachment is a monster! Great video...thanks!
Tim, that mix of good old farm boy (great comment about the slip clutch..lol) and unbiased opinion (even though you like green 😁) is what I love about your videos. Christy- I’m 500 miles away and was getting nervous about some of those shots! Great job!
💥 A flail mower on steroids! That thing is great! The grey color would look better on my Kubota 3940. Send it my way when you’re done! 👍 Christy you made me nervous with some of those close up shots. Keep on tractoring!
She's a brush eater for sure!! Would be great for clearing underbrush, and growth in the woods for shooting lanes, or fire prevention. Yall stay safe and healthy out there.
Love the videos as always, I have a 2038 like yours, I’m 13 and that was my birthday gift last year, we have a horse farm and it’s such a good machine with the variety of attachments
I'm extremely impressed. That beast handled much larger trees than I expected. Like you said, not something for the average homeowner, but it's nice to know it's available if needed.
Thanks for reviewing one of these mini-mulchers. I'm still waffling on what to buy for a tractor. I am enjoying renting different solutions in the interim to see the pros and cons of each. The Ventrac is definitely the front runner for my final state solution from a budget point of view, but there is a lot of work to get to that point. What you have there is essentially a very small 3PH powered forestry mulcher. As you alluded, these things can be VERY dangerous especially if you lift it off the ground much. In any event, such a mower is still in my decision matrix as utility tractor plus mulcher do come in quite a bit less than a track steer plus mulcher head. The big thing I do not like about these are the lack of protection for the operator. As you note, they throw things forward if you let them, and a ricochet could well occur. I really wish you would get the urge to go after some really thick stuff with that Bobcat Toolcat and rotary mower. You did a good little but of work with it, but I want to see it tackle 2"-3" stuff with it.
The toolcat belongs to a neighbor. I’m not comfortable being rough on it. The sponsored products....well, let’s put them through the test!!! If they bust, they bust! I am not concerned about operator safety with this mulcher. It did throw stuff forward, but always along the ground. I felt entirely safe. More safe than with a rear 3pt rotary cutter.
What a great implement. I wish I would have had one last year when I was clearing a disused pasture. I had to cut small trees by hand with a sawsall and then haul them off to be burned.
Tim I appreciate you showing items that probably out of the scope for most home tractor owners. I have seen more attachments from your show than going to a dozen showrooms and you show how they work and evaluate them as well. The Baumalight Brush Fire looks to be well made and seems to do more than the manufacturer says it can. The one limitation on this is that you need go in reverse all of the time. Your visibility is limited and am sure after a few hours of running this attachment you need a break. If I were a commercial operator wanting to clear heavy brush such as this I would want a front mounted attachment and that would be a skid steer setup.
This is a cool video, I hired a person with a large skid steer and the much larger forestry grinder. He cleared 5 acres all overgrown with up to 6" brush. I took all day but was well worth the cost.
I still watch full grown armor plated skid steer forestry mulcher vidios even though Id have to hit Power Ball to own one. I think it's interesting to see some lesser alternatives. I now have a " forestry mulcher guy". I plan to spend about 3k each spring for clearing and trail cutting. I can follow this up with a bush hog and keep day dreaming about Power Ball. Keep up the good work!
Tim. I investigated into one of these several years ago and it's one nice machine but it was about $10k (+/-). Can't remember b/c it was so pricey but it will definitely clear an area in no time. Mulches an overgrown area in nothing flat. Thanks guys.
That thing just looks incredibly tough. Seriously impressed by it. I wasn't sure at first if the suit you were making poor Christie wear was for debris or in case you ran into bees. It's amazing how little debris it kicked out.
Very cool attachment. Do you have a flail mower? I think that might be a good option on the smaller trees. Not sure I've been thinking about buying one but not really familiar with them. God bless
That “tree monster” looks like an autumn olive. Very invasive here in KY. The good thing about those is the roots don’t penetrate very deep. The best cure I’ve found for those are to mulch them then come back over top with herbicide by cut stump application.
very nice! I have seen videos of the heavy industrial versions that have solid steel hammers to pulverize almost anything. this is the first lighter duty chomper
If I lived in a dry area with forest fire issues this would be a must have. I will be ordering a baumalite stump grinder because of watching your channel
Great that it grinds everything. I'm spending a lot of time chipping brush these days. Fortunately, I have a Wallenstein chipper, which does a great job. I see that Baumalight also comes from Wallenstein, ON. Are the companies related?
I am impressed with that thing. It may be expensive but it is worth it weight it the time it would save clearing overgrown land. Thank you for the video. God Bless.
Definitely a beast of an attachment. Better than a heavy duty Bush Hog,less damage than a dozer, can see the use for grossly overgrown land, trails, etc. I've got a heavy duty series 6' Bush Hog branded shredder(not a light duty mower) and have had good luck chewing up anything up to 4" without breaking anything. You know when you hit something hard though.....
What a beast. I’ve not seen one on a sub compact. Impressive. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to more on the project. Yes, the sunshine is great but the wind is brutal. Blessings to you folks!
That thing is amazing! I could see small farm having this mulcher around to keep field edges. Love the video
Tim, thanks for introducing this product for us. I didn't know such a beast existed!
Craig V check out upstate brush control channel. They have a beast of an attachment for chewing through woods.
Tim, thanks for sharing all your videos and commentary, it’s very entertaining and educational.
Oh what fun!!! I could watch that all day! And I completely see why you wanted Christy in the suit of armor!
When you wake you the next day and can't turn your head from running that thing all day.
That would be a great attachment for land clearing. I’ve seen them on larger machines but never knew they were also made for tractors! Thanks for sharing!
I could definitely see lots of use for this on my 5acres! I have never seen one of those in action, that looks like its worth the money! Thank you for sharing!

It's amazing how far along attachments have came for compact Tractors. That 2038 seems like the perfect size tractor for a small property owner.
This is probably when a long zoom telephoto lens may come in handy. Great video Tim, safety first !! Christy is a champ for getting the shot !!
That is a great attachment! Thanks for demonstrating it!
That is exactly what I need! I didn’t realize they existed for a 3 point. I’d just need to rent one though. Once I clear the area, I can maintain it with a mower. I’d call it
“The Eraser!”
Or a Treeraeser
It’s a flail mower
Awesome attachment! I love watching the pine trees get sucked in.
That mulcher is an absolute beast! Thanks for showing attachments like this👍
I couldn’t stop watching. Great camera work too.
Welcome to our channel! 600 more episodes you can catch up on :-)
Thanks for showing stuff!
Best video in a long time. Love seeing brush cutting/ land clearing videos!!
I can just see myself finding an old roll of barbwire fencing and some t-posts.
Don't know about this one, but on a 95 horsepower Kubota skid steer, it doesn't really matter. It also muggs into the ground about 6 inches.
Keith Navarro upstate brush control channel uses this attachment and they got a huge rope caught in theirs. The rope was what people raised and lowered tools from power lines. It was a mess. Good channel to check out.
At least you can raise it up and cut out the barbed wire. You don't have to lay down and do it.
I think Upstate Brush Control uses the FECON mulching head but it’s a similar concept and that was an interesting episode when the snared the rope. Better rope than cable!
Pretty sure a roll of barbed wire would make your day interesting no matter what you have.
Very impressive. The brush/tree destroyer! Great work Tim & Christy!
That thing is a beast! It would be great for making trails in woods. Also a great 1st implement for clearing an area for a hunter’s food plot! It would be ideal to be a rental implement from a dealer.
You should check out the shredders they put on wild lands fire dozers, I've seen then knock down and eat 18" around cottonwoods.
Most bobcat dealers have them for rent way more versatile and powerful on a actual machine
@@dudleydriller Last Bobcat with a shredder I rented was $2,400 over the weekend. Anything over 9 hours you had to pay more.
Sammy Ymmas 2 is a lot?
Tim, thanks for showing this implement. It works like a champ, and if I had a lot of that kind of brush to address, I would consider getting one. However, the price I found on the machine was over $10k.
Hi Tim. That would be a great item for a fire department to have for brush fires and clearing a fire break.
wow! never saw this kind of machine on a compact tractor! And it was great to see it destroying all the brush, it did a really good job as well!:)
That's like having a mobile shredder, bring it to the tree instead of the other way around. You certainly picked the perfect place for a demo!
You two are hilarious! One of the many reasons that Mike and I love this channel:) Kristie looks like an astronaut in that suit and helmet LOL. That attachment is a monster! Great video...thanks!
@15:01 MIssed Opportunity to say "I don't think so Tim". Nice video guys.
Holy cow!!! That’s insane!!! Tree monster for the win.
WOW! Really works very good!
Tim, that mix of good old farm boy (great comment about the slip clutch..lol) and unbiased opinion (even though you like green 😁) is what I love about your videos.
Christy- I’m 500 miles away and was getting nervous about some of those shots! Great job!
Nice solution for thick brush in my woods, thanks! God Bless.
It needs to be on the front. Backing up all day would suck.
MrThisIsMeToo front pto shafts do exist
Agreed. Reverse is a tough go on back and neck.
Agreed
Love that piece of kit!
Perfect application for this machine.
This attachment is beast, awesome video!
Happy Mothers Day to your wife Tim
Great video folks, thanks for sharing!
That thing is a BEAST! Hope y'all are doing well during this pandemic. Stay safe.

I have looked at this attachment. It is a amazing tool.
Good morning & God bless

Love the idea of mulching instead of burning 🤠
Tim Christi what a tool makes short time of cleaning up over grown fields left to over time
God Bless
Stay safe

Run and Christi, Thanks for the great video. That machine is amazing. Almost makes me wish I had small growth to use it on.
That thing is a beast! Thanks for the demo!
that's a awesome attachment!!
That was impressive on many levels!
Cool attachment nice video Tim and crew
Sure did like my TTWT discount on GreenPartStore! Always enjoy the videos.
Thanks for your order, Josh! Appreciate the support. They are a bit backed up, so it may take a few days to get it delivered.
Yeah that is what they said, but I think everyone is right now.

@@TractorTimewithTim Sorry, I forgot that was in fact your neighbor's Toolcat.
Bobcat, are you listening? Tim needs a 5610 to evaluate!
This thing is a beast, wish my 1025R would run it.
Wow! That thing is AMAZING. Absolutely amazing. I imagine it would be a business setting to justify it, but still, amazing.
Gives a whole new meaning to the term "bump and grind"! LOL
Awesome attachment and video!
nice work. amazing how fast it cuts the bigger brush.
Looks like it does a good job. Thanks for the video 👍Jdmich
Great video! Thanks for sharing❗❗❗ 🙂🙂🙂 👍👍👍
That is a awesome attachment

I see a flail mower coming. I just love mine on my Kubota B2601
Christy is fearless!
Christi you reminded me of the kid in a Christmas story in his snow suit lol but your safety is what matters
Always love her sense of humor. 😊😊
Kristi, you camera shots were fantastic...quite close and lots of flying debris
They should call it "The Angry Beaver"...
Really cool. :)
Yeah at $9600. I think I'll just hire someone to come in and brush cut for me. Ron
My 5' Bush Hog does a better job. $500 used.
Yeah a regular rotary cutter like a brush hog will handle stuff like this easily.
Nice to see what you can do with these tractors!
I still watch full grown armor plated skid steer forestry mulcher vidios even though Id have to hit Power Ball to own one. I think it's interesting to see some lesser alternatives.

Hmm...$3k each spring would pay for this unit!
I was thinking 2 or 3 seasons or about 9k. I just got tired of typing.
Excellent video, that would be handy on my 26 acres. I have a 8’ land pride bush hog, have a 70 hp Kubota.
Thanks again, stay safe.

Also inEast TN! Its considered invasive
