Nice addition. That thing is a beast and sure can make an area look good quick from the comfort of the seat. Great product and everything I see that Baumalight makes, is built very well. Good video Joe.
Thank you, and thank Baumalight. I was hoping to see someone testing the 3pt muncher. Like you said about looking backwards is a bummer but an additional machine is also a bummer. Cheers 🍻 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
Thanks for watching brother. It has completely opened my mind to what a tractor can do. It’s that good. Expensive, but really really good. Can’t wait to put it in the dirt again but rain in the forecast the next SEVEN days! 🤦🏻♂️😫
Great demo, Joe. That is definitely one piece of machinery you need if you own a lot of land. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend!! Happy belated birthday!!
I agree. This channel keeps teaching me about the things I never knew I needed! Lol. Thank you all for getting me out of my comfort zone! And I appreciate the birthday wishes my friend.
Awesome piece of equipment Joe it’s perfect for the deer hunter that can open up areas in strategic spots such as funnels and pinch points for stand locations!! Let er Eat💪👍!!!!
How do you think the MP560 would work on grinding pine stumps in the 8"-10" range to 1" below grade with a 75 HP John Deere 5075E? I am having 3 acres of pine forest timbered. I was wondering if I cut the pine stumps with my chain saw to ground level, would the MP560 be able to grind the remaining stump to 1" below ground level?
I think it would clear them easily. The hardest part is your 5075 prob has power shuttle so learning to slowly feather into it would be the only challenge. But man, that tree saw by Baumalight would keep you from needing to use a chainsaw. That thing is impressive. But yes, the mulcher should clear pine as long as the stumps are reasonable and you take it slow. The thing is a hunk of iron. Can’t break it.
Thanks Bill; yeah it's a monster. The skid steer version would obviously be a great tool also, but for a tractor this one is the toughest implement that I have ever used.
Watched a lot of mulching videos lately and would love to have one. I think they just might be one of the more valuable tools you can have for the homestead. My little Mahindra won't run one, I don't think, but I would sure like to have one to deal with all this privet and bamboo around here!
Hey! It's been eye opening really. It's almost like a mower/mulcher/tiller and flail in one. And does all of the above pretty well. They make a smaller one that Tony has run on his 25hp tractor but I haven't tried that one. I can say that it would devour privet and bamboo. We will have some more Baumalight attachments to demo and can't wait. Thanks for watching!
At the $250-275 per hour that forestry mulchers charge here in northern TN the MP560 would pay for itself in less than two weeks of machine time. Tim in Oneida
A forestry mulcher even on a skid steer will take down 8-12" diameter trees though this wont. This is nice but what it's taken down isn't much bigger than what a rotary cutter can take down or a flail mower. I'd like to see it on a 6" diameter tree or something, otherwise most of what was done here could be done by pushing it over with the feel or one of the mowers I mentioned and you don't have to worry about a large section shooting under the tractor ripping of a line or something.
Dont they have a skid steer mount that is hydraulic? Could you have gotten that and put it on your lift on front of the tractor to enable driving forward?
Great question. Yes they do; but not for a tractor. The Skid Steer would handle it well because of higher hydraulic flow. A tractor at best is 10-12 gpm where a high flow skid steer is up to 40. Just not enough flow in a 3rd function.
Thinking of buying one of these. I only have 3 acres that need to be cleared. But to rent one by the time I’m done I could’ve bought this. This way I can take my time and do it at my own pace. Still a lot of money
It is an investment, but you could clear 3 acres and probably sell it for close to what you paid. It is absolutely a commercial piece of equipment. So heavy duty. I will say though, if you buy it I highly doubt you would sell it. Thanks for watching!

@@Shawn572-q1v hey Shawn, thanks for watching. The machine in the video is a Kioti RX7320 with a power shuttle transmission. I will be putting the mulcher on the back of my new TYM machine next week so we will see what it can do on a 55hp machine. The NS6010 should handle it well. The RX is 73 hp and is on the higher end of the hp rating for the mulcher
I think I like Kappers Brush Cutter lots better for what you're doing with it. The business part of that piece of equipment reminds me more of a stump grinder. .I will say it does a great job of turning everything into mulch!
Come on Clark...you can't give Kapper an even BIGGER head! Lol... Fun fact, he helped me film this one. In some scenes he's holding the camera! Appreciate you watching!
@usmarshall336 Come on buddy; you know “designed for” and “can it” are two different things! I think if going slow it would grind a small stump. A 20”+ hickory? I don’t know…
Biggest improvement they could make that seems like they are consciously trying to avoid is adding bite limiters…this would significantly reduce the throwing things under the tractor and a finer finish. As for there brush cutter they should get ride of the silly arms holding the blades and use a flywheel/rotor design instead. These 2 changes would bring there products to world class.
Hey Brett, thanks for the feedback. I actually sent it to Baumalight and they asked if they could reach out to you for more clarification. Do you have an email that I can share with them? You can send it to me at joe@joethefarmer.com. Thanks for watching!
Hard to tell. This one is actually really efficient when you get more used to it. Watch our follow up and it shows a bit more how it can operate. Ideally, I would have one for the front of my skid loader
It's a powershuttle, so not worried about the clutch. I used gravity and teh shuttle wand more than the foot clutch. Mine didn't come with the creeper but they do offer in on the RX. Thanks for watching
Hey! Thanks for watching. I talk about this in my next video coming out (tomorrow or Wed). I had the mulcher too high and was just too skittish to put it in the dirt. It can take anything man. It's so heavy duty it's nuts. If it's level and making contact with the ground I think it dramatically reduces the limbs from flying forward. Remember, I had zero experience with this thing. Fortunately it was easy to learn. Thanks for asking and let me know if it doesn't address your question.
@@JoeTheFarmer hey I have a HSTC 57 hp tractor, I will try the on ground approach. This thing is heavy duty and a tank. I'm a hobby farm guy about to retire in the next couple of years and I like having the equipment to use on my schedule. keep up the good work
I'm the same way brother. Rental equipment gives me major time anxiety. I still work and have a family, so tractor time and farm work is relaxing to me. Want to do it on my terms. Do you have the MP560? How does it run behind the 57hp? The HST would make it much smoother to operate. Appreciate you watching!
With my luck I'd shoot a stick into my transmission filter in the first 5 minutes of operation, just enough to create a fine mist of oil blowing around. Then hit a rock or metal, causing a bunch of sparks. And then catch myself on fire with the oil spraying around. Only a slight exaggeration...
I think a hydro would be easier for sure; but it works. Shuttle shift would be a no, but the power shuttle is doable with an experienced operator. Not many tractors over 60hp with hydro. Wish there was!
There is an excellent illustration on the Baumalight website. But min is 45 hp for this mulcher. There are others that are smaller for more compact machines

If you have creeper gear it will grind it down no problem.

As these mulchers usable with a gear drive tractor? At PTO speed even reverse 1 is pretty fast

Varies by the size of the machine; but 8 would say 4-6 inches easy. The implement would take more, just not sure the tractor would.
