    Very cool! That solvent dispenser looks super handy.
    Is there any concern about the ice pick losing hardness, or is it long enough that the tip stays cool?

      Absolutely! That was a piece of mild steel inside while flaming. The final ice pick shaft was installed post heat. Good question!!

    This is a really awesome and quick video that’s packed with knowledge. I haven’t done metal work yet but can’t wait to learn when we return to the states.

    I had a bit of concern with flame anodizing titanium, but this doesn't produce any carcinogens does it?

    Does the colour stay permanently or does it fade or get scratched off?

    • @HighCaliberCraftsman
      @HighCaliberCraftsman  2 роки тому

      It can be sanded or scratched off if its a deep enough scratch.

    • @KN-ix2xm

      @@HighCaliberCraftsman could you give me an idea for how deep it would need to roughly be? Would it be easily scratched or need some effort?

      I actually bought from them before because McMaster Carr doesn't really like selling small quantities to people outside of the US.
