      BB Perez: Absolutely!! If you dared to push him or say he was lacking in some category he would just destroy the exact aspect he was accused of lacking. In the 92 finals they were comparing Jordan & Drexler. They said he was a better 3pt shooter than MJ. Michael said you only say that cause I choose not to shoot as many 3's. He then proceeds to break the 3pt rec in the finals in the 1st HALF!!!!! He could do whatever he wanted to whoever he wanted to do it to on both sides of the court!

  • @JMS1089

    God designed MJ to play basketball. Huge hands, but his feet didn't match his hands. His feet were small enough to be nimble and turn the corner. Huge vertical leap. Strong, but within an athletic body, and not overly muscled. At 6'6 he had all the strengths and none of the weaknesses. Not to mention his strong focus, intensity, and IQ. Perfect player. Greatest player that will ever be.

      We all know about his vertical leap, but the nimbleness, quick first step, and his ability to lower his body while driving to the basket were a huge part of his game. The closest to him driving to the basket wasn't Kobe, but D-Wade in my opinion.

    He had absolutely perfected the art of shooting on his descent rather than at the peak of his jump. This rendered the defender useless at blocking his shots. Add to that his unparalleled ability to create while in midair, made him someone who was UNSTOPPABLE!

    The creativity on his fakes and finishes is what gets me. He sells his post fakes so well. His fake spin is extremely fast, but he also takes a HUGE step in with the fake which would make any player think that he's going to drive. As soon as you react he's a foot to your right, wide open, draining a jumper.
    I watched Jordan in his prime when I was 11-13. I knew he was the greatest. But being able to analyze and see it again as an adult, it really puts into perspective how utterly amazing Micheal Jordan was. I respect LeBron, but he's never going to be on Jordan's level. It'll be decades before we get a second jordan. He's not a generational player, he's a once every X generations player. Like catching a full planetary alignment, or celestial passing.

I was excited to see him in person after watching him play on tv for years and my jaw dropped after his first shot. He jumped so high into the air that all the other players just watched. He was quicker, and jumped higher than all of them. TV doesn't even come close to capturing how great this guy was in person on the court. I also got to see Lebron play in person. You're saying this league is soft? Are you saying you preferred it when hand checking prevented extremely skilled players from playing well? Hand checking removed skill from the game. You're saying you preferred it when 75% of the league did cocaine? That caused amazing players like David Thompson to play like trash. You preferred it when ILLEGAL DEFENSE WAS CALLED 13 TIMES IN A GAME. MJ was a psycho who punched his teammate. Larry Bird was an antisocial asshole. The league today is better now. Who gives a shit about softness. BTW, the Illegal Defense rule gave MJ an unfair advantage. LeBron doesn't have that advantage.

    • @mobregonjr
      @mobregonjr 7 років тому +12

      Flappy turtle Skilled players aren't slowed down by hand checking. Example: Micheal Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Larry Bird, Kareem...ect......
      Hamd check fouls did however create players who only appear to be great because defenses aren't allowed to touch them. It creates players who flop and take advantage of the no touch policy. Example: Lebron
      Who cares about softness? I do. I dislike this new generation who teaches people to be soft.

    • @flappyturtle472
      @flappyturtle472 7 років тому

      +Martin Obregon Michael Jordan was strong and athletic. He would break the ankles of someone that would lean on him or put their hand on them. Kareem was bigger than everyone else and hand checking couldn't stop him from dunking over people or using his sky hook. Larry Bird was tough as bricks. Hakeem was also huge. These players you mentioned are legends, so they're mostly outliers. LeBron probably wouldn't get stopped by hand checking either.

    • @flappyturtle472

      Why are you'll always comparing these young black NBA players to Jordan how compare Larry Bird to Jordan or Dirk or Nash LBJ is a great player they play totally different from one another LeBron plays more of a team player it's nothing wrong with that can you imagine the pressure he had to go through coming out of high school and the team telling you your the one to get us there I would take his career any day he achieved more than enough to be placed in that position con you imagine what it must of been like to be a kid and everything is on you to make your team a winner 🏆 must of been hard as hell but he did it and it's nothing wrong with saying your the best ever you supposed to think that hell a bench warmer should think like that to I know I would be like I'm the best ever once I get in the game with 20 seconds left to me it's more than one goat all the HOF players are goats in their own way that's just my opinion stop trying to get in these young players head they can be the best they can be they don't want to be like Mike u hope they want to be better than Mike or think they are better I think he did a great job period even if he has less rings than MJ or get more who cares as a fan of both all I care about is their teams winning and LBJ had slot of wins like Kobe and MJ but to be really honest Kareem jabbar is the best basketball player ever on every level and Bill Russell is the best winningest NBA player ever period I do have MJ as my second favorite player behind Magic and Bird is my 4th favorite player

    • @egyptpha223
      @egyptpha223 7 років тому +11

      This is something a lot of people now days do not talk about. Yes, he was a GREAT PASSER. Many people back then use to give him CREDIT for it, but now days. People whom haven't lived, some haters of him because their team may have lost to him, or people never really saw the era he played. Are really down playing his ability to pass the ball. The bottomline is, he was a GREAT Passer, and near the same level as Bird and Magic, if not on it. He just didn't need to because the Game is about Scoring POINTS making Buckets. The game is about the SCORE, points make the SCORE. Thus the most important stat category in Basketball is POINTS. So Jordan did that, in one of the Shortest amount of time, which is important. Thus why +/- stat is the most important viewed stat in Basketball. None of those others matter, if you're not scoring points. Jordan in my opinion was not only great SCORER, but a GREAT PASSER. If he wasn't a greater passer, I have no doubt that he would have lost some of those FINALS, period.

    • @bjsw534
      @bjsw534 7 років тому +1

      Egypt PHA I see what you're saying but assists also generate points if you think about it. So 10-12 APG could come out to around 20-26 points depending on if they're two pointers or three pointers

    • @egyptpha223
      @egyptpha223 7 років тому +9

      Respect to your comment bjsw534
      I hate to be this deep with you, but only points exist.
      If you really think about it, only points in the game of basketball really exist which is the SCORE.
      That's the only basketball stat that actually really exist.
      All other stats only come into play if we're trying to get points.
      If we're not trying to do anything, none of the stats exist.
      They're only illusions stats taking of space.
      Even If I get hit with 5 second violation and players do not throw the ball in.
      You will be hit with a turnover! off the bases of not throwing the ball in to score points!
      No matter what, all the other stats are just creation of something off bases of Points or illusions.
      Only thing that exist is in the end is...
      Points

    • @boogieloo1831
      @boogieloo1831 7 років тому +4

      Egypt PHA - to a large degree, ur correct - points determine wins and losses. Other stats are important and measure many important things a player does but scoring is the most important. The real problem is the media. Their desperation to pump LBJ and all the little guards as well has created this worshipping of assists at the expense of scoring - and ignoring all the turnovers that LBJ and others make today. What's crazy is that scoring is so much easier today without physical defense but still nobody can beat MJ.
      Bottom line - they try to diminish MJ but they can't because it's not just perception with him - his body of work is the greatest ever and unassailable and irrefutable - MJ is clearly and always will be the GOAT.

Watching a Michael Jordan game live was an incredible feeling, you COULDNT WAIT for him to get the ball, bc you knew you were going to see something special, something even HE has never done before, he would surprise HIMSELF. It was true creativity. You didn’t get that with the other guys , Lebron and Kobe. You got it with Magic Johnson though. But even he said Jordan was the greatest. Millineals just don’t know. Us GenX’ers were very lucky to be born and be teenagers and in our 20s when he played. And he never let us down. Perfect in the Championship Games 6-0.

This player was in my opinion a Super Hero! He made Basketball and the NBA Fun to watch. He made Basketball excited to see, and he deserves credit for what he done. So many are trying to undermine his accomplishments by desecrating his accomplishments. Back in the day, we would never heard some one going to the Finals 4 Times in a Row, or 5 times, or 6 times in row; then lose in majority of them being better or equivalent to someone undefeated in the Finals. What Michael Jordan did is history, and helped pave the way for exciting basketball that we see today. He deserves to be treated with respect. Not brought down, belittled like so many have tried to do in modern day.

      Todays NBA has no hand checking or soft. It is very big andvantage of mj to shoot offensively unstopable. MJ GOAT.

    It was my privilege to watch him growing up. The NBA when I was young was tough. It was a foul never called on every play. Guys bleeding, grabbing, punching, pushing, elbowing etc.... Every play was played hard. He played in an era that would make the likes of LeBron James, curry, Westbrook; cry like babies. He did what no one even in this now touch foul league could ever do. This video is good but its not even a small fraction of his highlights. He was the purest most complete player in history, especially given the time he played. No one can touch the true KING... #LEBRONINYOURDREAMS

      Joe Swanson Right u are Joe. I recommend people go to the UA-cam titled upload "Jordan Epic Fury" (as grainy as the pre HD video is) to even begin to understand what he was doing on a routine basis during his younger years before the media/league marketers figured out the cash cow they had in MJ.

      @@BasketballHighway19 typical anonymous user reply. Watch some old clips of the true king. You'll appreciate and finally understand just how improbable his numbers were given the era he played in.

      finally one of you young kids gets smart. I'm old enough, I watched MJ play. Lebron isnt even half the player that MJ was. The NBA changed the rules to allow for players like lebron to score the ball more with highlight dunks. For example, they added the defensive 3 second rule so now players cant stand in the paint waiting for people to drive to the basket. The paint is wide open nowadays.. all you gotta do is get past your man for a highlight dunk. It's garbage.

    Michael Jordan remains the Master of basketball and who knows for how many years or decades will be this way, glad I was able to see him play in the 90's, was and still is a very important part in my life for inspiration, not only to appreciate basketball and be the best, but also thought me to never give up it doesn't matter how hard it looks, it doesn't matter how many times you fail what is important you never give up and keep pushing forward!

    • @kozmyqmynd
      @kozmyqmynd 6 років тому

      Purp Reynolds all I can say is AMEN. this guy gives me thrills I can't even put it in words. I've watched LeBron play longer than I had the chance to watch Jordan because I started watching and playing basketball in 1992 at age 17 and I really only fully watched MJ from the 95 to 98 seasons because i didnt see him play in 93 until the finals against Charles barkley. But let me tell you, the 4 full years I've watched him play was enough for me to crown him king vs LeBron's 15 yrs in the league so far and it still ain't even close. Jordan was the first to be called king and his name wasn't Bernard. So all this king James crap is a carbon copy of the original king his airness Michael Jeffery Jordan!!!! Period end of story and comparisons!!!!!
