Hi Maria .... I used to work for the USPS, and where I was stationed -- it plummets down to negative -10 degrees F, during the winters. After watching this video, I absolutely salute your city's outdoor civil and utility-service workers.
People who live in tropical climates cannot imagine what it’s like. When it’s super cold, you will feel pain on your skin like needles pushing into your skin. That’s why it’s important to cover most of your face and never take off your gloves
Needles in skin is okey (more scary when you not feel needles, it means your body got frozen). More complicated to breath, especially when it is windy and you just can’t to breath from pain. Or when windy with snow, thousands of tiny ice peaces which attack your eyes so you walk with almost closed eyes.
You need to be careful to never take off your gloves. So metal glasses too since it will rip your skin. Buy clothes that is designed for extreme temperatures
I'm just amazed at how normal city life is in such cold. Where I live, cars stopped working and water pipes froze when we got below 0°F, and we are used to winter being below freezing

Thoroughly enjoyed this, I come from a country where the sight of one snowflake and when the temperature drops to zero everything comes to a grinding halt. Schools close, train services are canceled. Greetings from England.
Thank you for sharing your life with us Maria. It struck me that people are not so very different. I am amazed like many others as how everyone treats such intense cold as normal. I was very interested in how everyone was going about their day in such freezing weather. In France where I live it can get down to -10 in the winter, people tend to rarely venture out unless they have to. -10 must feel positively spring like for you.
It’s quite fascinating how people can live and function in such a cold place and make life go around even on such cold days. I personally wouldn’t be able to handle such cold, the coldest weather I’ve experienced is about -25C here in my hometown in Sweden. The climate in my town can be a mix of inland and coastal though as I’m about an hour inland from the coast, so my town can get cold but in a humid way so it can feel a lot colder than it actually is at times. Just cold without the added humidity or wind is easier to manage... But I still hate anything colder than +25C lol Also, Texas should take note... If Russia can have a functioning society in such extreme conditions, surely Texas should be able to at least be somewhat prepared for a bit of winter weather... Not making fun of them because it is tragic how people suffered over there, but still, the state should take note and demand the companies to have better preparations for cold weather... This February storm and polar vortex that they got hit with wasn’t their first, nor will it be their last...
Should take note not to buy anymore too expensive Liu nieece Them power. By the way how are your socialist cousins doing with the Poutine gas. Lots of freezing in yourape. But the media won't be covering that.
I remember something like that but those were fibers (of white color) for under your mascara to make the end result thicker. It was not meant to be the final layer. You were supposed to use your regular mascara on top of it...
