@@LTLChinese you mention it in your profile. I've been trying to teach myself mandarin in advance of a trip to China in a couple of years, hence the interest in your UA-cam channel!
@@danielkoschalka3955 of course I did! Good spot. Hope the channel is proving useful for you. Welcome to drop us (or me) a message at any point for further advice.
Hello, Can I ask will the Chinese Government Scholarship require to pass hskk speaking test is order to get scholarship next year? if I only pass the hsk but not the hskk will they reject me for that? Thanks in advance for your answer!
Previously just the HSK is fine but now we aren't quite sure of the confirmation yet. The details, typically, remain cloudy. We'll update further when we know.
New TOCFL guidelines are 3,100 characters, 14,425 words and 496 grammar points ( levels 1 to 5 only) No grammar points known for levels 6 and 7 ( C1 and C2 respectively). Néw HSK is still substandard. Sorry to burst your bubble.
It's not so much a case of it being sub-standard or a competition for the most characters, words or grammar points. It's about aligning it to give a fairer reflection on a foreigners true Mandarin ability.
I took HSK 5 exam on 3rd December 2023, it was far more difficult than ago. In listening part I almost lost, they made it so hard to catch key points, they were talking about science, I think it is unnecessary. Even reading part 45 minutes for 45 questions, you will not have enough time to read texts.
@@LTLChinesethanks, I got 238 (listening 88, reading 82, writing 68) but I failed hskk (it is not ''so important'' for master degree or scholarship though). Speaking part is similar for hsk 5 and hsk 6.
That's a really great effort@@frankjackson7474 1 Some amazing scores there. Your reading and listening are in great shape! You know where to focus to become even better now, Keep it up.
Do you use telegram, or better do you have a telegram pod? I saw that you have most of the social media using, why don't you use telegram?? I guess it Ve useful.
New HSK is trying to compete with the new TOCFL guidelines introduced in August 2021 in Taiwan. Still it is always good for improvement. Beijing is trying to displace Taipei as the preferred location for foreigners to learn Mandarin. Goodluck with that. I will always favour Taiwan, now and in the future.
They are trying to align it more with the European Framework. This means it will inevitably become harder, much like TOCFL. Taiwan and Beijing are both amazing places to study Mandarin :)
GoEast: only implemented for test takers in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau LTL Mandarin school: implemented for all overseas hsk3-6 takers. Testing sites in China will not be affected Who is correct. Is the combined HSK and HSKK for overseas test takers or test takers in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau... Wonder who's right...
We get all our information from the Hanban and official HSK website and essentially re-publish it. It's worth noting the information is changing all of the time though. We'll update our article here when we find out new stuff - ltl-school.com/new-hsk/

@@LTLChinese I agree. The only area that HSK is higher is with translating. TOCFL doesn't have it
