As a college professor that has spent most of my life on campus, I have to wonder: did the screenwriters or directors ever spend five seconds in college? Their depiction of university life is literal make believe!

I remember this film playing on television while my cousin was singing Grandma Got Ran Over By a Reindeer in the background due to getting into a heated argument with his parents.
Love how she doesn't mess around and stabs him multiple times. And the final shot of her sitting on the steps was really good. I even used it as a picture for a song I made

I've never seen it, but the title alone reminds me of one scene in the comedy spoof film Top Secret-- the scene where Val Kilmer's character Nick Rivers is being beaten and tortured, passes out, has a dream/nightmare that he's back in school, and has missed all of his final exams. He then wakes up back in prison and is being flogged. He smiles and says "Oh thank god!" :-) Odd thing is that for several years after I graduated college, I would wake up with dread and fear over an imagined final before my head would clear up, and I realized that I already graduated and was done with exams.
I once ever-slept for a History exam. I ran bleary eyed to to Prof's office and was immediately allowed to do a make up test. I most certainly was not alone in the endeavor. This was good as I ended up with the top grade in a class of 550..
I once ran across a Scholastic paperback (you know, the guys that published Harry Potter) that was titled 'Final Exam'. What was truly creepy about it was that the High School pictured on the front cover was called Columbine. Pretty sure this was published before the actual massacre.
The book was originally published in 1990. It's actually suppose to be decent. What's funny to me is while people are on about the name of the high school, the author's name is Bates.

I found this film randomly on Amazon Prime, and I'm glad this didn't start a franchise; there's a nice little charm to it and I liked that there was this finality to it, if that makes sense.. and I feel like this is one of those great films to watch with friends while eating pizza!

Revenge of the Ninja is great thanks for mentioning the movie. Its the movie that I learned Ninjas walk around for hours with a mouth full of spikes and can spit them in the enemy's face when needed!
I remember Good Bad Flicks call this the purest exploitation film since it was purely made to cash on the Slasher explosion at the time because the investors wanted most of the scenes to copy scenes from preexisting successful movies.
My heart warms every time I see the MPM co. logo on movie credits and posters. It released some of the most outrageous and memorable horror/exploitation titles of the 80s, including Mausoleum, Fulci's Gates Of Hell, Savage Streets with Linda Blair, Bruno Mattei's infamous Hell Of The Living Dead and many more. It was a NY mafia front company set up to launder proceeds from a long running gasoline tax dodge. Mob chief Michael Franzese is now a born again Christian who disavows crime, but I still pay a debt of gratitude for the cinematic memories.
Love the Show Mr Geek and the Bloopers reel at the end is Gold showing us (me included) we all make mistakes.... with ALLLL The Sppplaaaterrrr The Matttters...

Three things to point out in this movie for those who were old enough to remember seeing back in 1981. 1. It would be nice to be 40 years younger. 2. It is a cheesy but yet fun 80's slasher. 3. The hairstyle, Parted in the middle and Feathered, ahhhhhh the 80's.
I always loved it/found it hilarious how this killer always with no explanation or backstory at all Also wow that school shooting prank man, 80s kids were hardcore!
My theory about the killer is that something happened to him in college that made him drop out. Then he went psycho and went from college to college, killing people. The novelization reveals a little about him that seemingly supports my theory; it even says he forgot his name and maybe even how to talk.
Budget Jerry Stiller, maybe, or even Budget Kurt Vonnegut, but Budget Donald Sutherland? Yeah, that's right, I'm THAT guy. But you do get points for the incredibly gratuitous Whitman reference. We won't talk about "unladlelike". All in all, another first-rate effort, Mike. Don't ever stop.
Dude, I don't know how you manage to release videos this frequently and consistently with so many clever jokes and puns in them (and also some awesomely lame dad jokes). Your writing process must be insane. Keep up the fantastic work. I will definitely be becoming a patron as from May's payday.
Thanks Theo! It's a real challenge writing-wise. I have such a tight production schedule that I honestly only get to spend one day on the scripts (every Friday -- I spend 8-10 hours writing them on average). This sucks, because I miss a lot of jokes because it's such a mad dash to get it done so I can film it and then begin the neverending editing process. Every week I edit and see like 10 great jokes I missed...which is why someday I'd like to actually hire an editor so I could spend more time writing and filming. I think the show would be funnier if I had an extra day or so to spend writing. But I'm glad you like them even though they all feel rushed to me. :-)

Vonnegut felt too obscure. And he definitely looks like Sutherland in Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

Dude, I don't know how you manage to release videos this frequently and consistently with so many clever jokes and puns in them (and also some awesomely lame dad jokes). Your writing process must be insane. Keep up the fantastic work. I will definitely be becoming a patron as from May's payday.

It's a real challenge writing-wise. I have such a tight production schedule that I honestly only get to spend one day on the scripts (every Friday -- I spend 8-10 hours writing them on average). This sucks, because I miss a lot of jokes because it's such a mad dash to get it done so I can film it and then begin the neverending editing process.
Every week I edit and see like 10 great jokes I missed...which is why someday I'd like to actually hire an editor so I could spend more time writing and filming. I think the show would be funnier if I had an extra day or so to spend writing.
But I'm glad you like them even though they all feel rushed to me. :-)
