get the 12 I use it for school, work and for drill with my reserve unit. I just got. 24 for drill and travel to hold more stuff. but I love the 12 works great for everyday.
Have you had any issues on a hot summer day with that specific color? Just ordered the same back but because of the fact that I live in a hot country with lots of sun all year round I’m a little worried that my things might boil in the bag or that the black color might fade with time…! Have you experienced any issues there?
Nice review mate, cheers.just bought one for my carry on bag in double tap grey. My scuba 'can't dive if the airline loses my hold gear' fits into it perfectly as well as some other admin bits. Hoofing.
That's a nice colour mate - good choice! I also use a few molle attachments when I travel, no problems getting it through carry-on just makes it a bit heavier. Don't forget to subscribe and I'll do an updated review on this with attachments 👍🏼
I used a rush 12 as my travel carry-on bag but found that it was a bit too small for my needs. I switched to the rush 24 and it has quite a bit more room. Very hard to beat the quality of 5.11 products
Yes, I agree. I starting using a Vanquest Javelin 3.0 for a while, but I find I can only use it as my EDC around town, it's not big enough for air (overnight) travel.
Where does the laptop fit? I am a college student and I have to carry laptop everywhere with me. My only concern about this bag is the laptop capacity. I got a 15.3 inch laptop which I always need with me. It'd be great if you can tell me if there is special pocket for laptops.
Hi Harry - thanks for your comment. You can normally keep a small/thin laptop in the compartment for bladder pack, which I show at 5:50 in the video. If it's a larger laptop (mine is also about 15" widescreen) I would suggest you keep it in the main compartment. You can put it up against the back, or at the very top if you can make a fairly flat surface for it. I would recommend you also keep the laptop in a laptop pouch as well, so it doesn't rub up against anything else in the main compartment. Also, if you're using this for everyday carry, keep in mind that it can get very heavy if you have folders, laptop and other stuff. The shoulder straps are comfortable but it may be a bit bulky/heavy as an EDC. Of course it depends how much you have to carry for college/university. Good luck and enjoy doing research for your new backpack. I also have a Vanquest Javelin 2.0, that is a sling back and I've been meaning to do a review on it for some time now. Subscribe to my channel and you'll get a notification when I upload the video :)
Let me know what you think of the Rush 24 if you have one or what your thoughts are on it's practicality and uses?
Life & Gear - Hacks I’m wondering if I can live out of it for 7 days abroad. I’m a light traveller lol.
I've tried, it's possible - but helps if you can do some laundry along the way :) I find the Rush 72 is just a bit too big for my liking
