    Romans 4-4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

    How would I set up a video chat? I would love to have a conversation with you. Your knowledge of Scripture is amazing, and you are a great teacher. It would be of great benefit to me (and hopefully others that may have similar thought processes) to get your input on a few topics that perhaps I need clarification on. Thank you for spreading the Gospel, I hope to talk to you soon. Blessings to you and your family!

    Hey Ryan. Where do you learn all of this? Is this mostly independent studying or did you also gain a lot of knowledge from a sort of Bible college or something like that?
    I enjoy not only your knowledge alone but also how you choose to share it. You’re very good at sharing things in a matter of fact way, while also appearing graceful.
    I’ll be looking forward to your reply, hope all is well.

    Honest question: What about Jesus saying the gate is narrow and few will enter? Few will put their whole trust in Christ or few will pick up their cross and follow Him? Or I'm just confusing this all big time. Because God doesn't contradict Himself. + Better to trust in the Bible than in the fallible interpretations of men. OUR interpretations can also be fallible. Help

    • @NeedGodnet
      @NeedGodnet  3 місяці тому +38

      It's narrow to trust in Christ alone and nothing else to save. And it's so hard for people to come to that point, because people want to keep also relying on what they have done.
      But when a person comes to truly understand the gospel, they will see that Jesus' yoke is "easy and light" (Matthew 11:30) and says "I will give you rest" (v28), because Jesus did all the work for us to go to heaven. So we serve Him now simply out of thankfulness.

    Can you explain James 2:24 the verse after Abraham was counted righteous by faith. This verse seems to contradict our view.

    • @NeedGodnet
      @NeedGodnet  3 місяці тому +19

      It actually lines up well. Because James 2:23 says that believing is how Abraham was counted as righteous before God (not works). Then in James 2:24 it says that he was justified before people by the works he did. Because that is the context, "I will show you my faith by my works" (James 2:18). It's just about how to be justified in the sight of people, not God.
      So we get made right before God by faith (not works), but that faith will then produce works as time goes on and that evidences to other people that we have faith.

    Thank you so much for this video, i consider myself still relatively new to the faith and have been looking into Orthodoxy, some of its claims seemed appealing.
    But i could not get past their worship of Mary and Icon veneration.
    Why would we need the intercession of Saints if we have Jesus?
    It didnt add up to me, despite the rest if their teachings looking appealing.
    So thank you for this video it helped clear up a lot of my confusion and reminded me that the Bible is the standard by whicb we verify everything.
    If it does not align with the Word, it is false doctrine.

    • @NeedGodnet
      @NeedGodnet  3 місяці тому +28

      Faith isn't a work actually according to the Bible. See Romans 4:5 "And to the one who does NOT work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness."

    Hi Ryan! I pray all is well. I am so thankful for what God has and is doing through your “ministry”
    My church has GREATLY benefited from a man named Angel, who has learned much from you.
    I have been wondering, it seems the orthodox (not the orthodox church) Christian view of what is the gospel, specifically what must someone believe to be saved is that Jesus died for our sins, is the son of God and was raised from the dead.
    BUT on top of that one must believe Jesus Christ is God almighty to be saved.
    To be absolutely clear, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt and am even writing about this very topic now that Jesus Is Lord, the Son of God but also the one true God. Eternal, co equal co substantial.
    My question is not whether Jesus is God but rather, if someone must in addition to His death and resurrection for our sins believe in his deity. Why does it seem that this is not ALWAYS something that is addressed in clips of people evangelizing? Is this indeed something someone MUST believe in order to be saved?
    To clarify my current understanding, i would absolutely say that if someone were to be saved through the blood of Christ and not come to this knowledge at some point. It is a very very good sign that they likely were not truly saved and do not have the spirit of God in them that brings about truth and knowledge and righteousness. However, I struggle to find whether this is something someone must first believe/understand in order TO BE saved. And on top of this, if that is the case. Should it not be addressed 100% of the time in evangelism ? I appreciate your time if you have gotten this far, thanks again for your work.

    • @NeedGodnet
      @NeedGodnet  3 місяці тому

      Someone can’t deny the deity of Jesus and be saved. But someone can be ignorant of deity of Jesus and still be saved if their trust is in Jesus’ sacrifice alone to save them. See Cornelius in Acts 10, he got saved without knowing the deity of Christ explicitly.
      That’s why it isn’t 100% necessary to have to explain all the intricate details of the Trinity in every gospel chat, but as the discipleship process goes on that is something to be spoken about

    So what happens if you do bad, are you still saved?

    • @mercyringhall6662
      @mercyringhall6662 3 місяці тому +2

      Yes, because everyone does bad so if it were the case that doing bad results in not going to heaven then all would not.

    • @legendaryeagleknight
      @legendaryeagleknight 3 місяці тому

      Yes. In fact if we say that we have no sin, we are lying to ourselves. 1 John 2:8 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." We aren't perfect, everyone messes up and sins ,but we should do our best to do what God wants us to.
      We don't do good in order to get to heaven, we do it because Jesus saved us and we love Him. John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
      We are saved by faith only because of the grace of God. Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. Three days later he rose from the dead. If we trust in Him to save us, we will go to heaven.
      John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
      Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
      IF you have any other questions let me know :)
