Hi Mark. We went out again yesterday and found a better spot. Love this little sluice box we had 3 of us running one sluice and it kept up great. You need to come down and play.

Doesn’t matter how much black sand you run into the hobby miner sluice box can sort right through it and keep the gold my friend tested mine with 20 pounds of black sands and rocks and an ounce of gold and it captured all of the gold (he lost some while panning the cons but found it the second time panning it lol great day out looking forward to the next spot thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏼👊🏼
You are right, The silicone mats are amazing at catching gold. Nothing else like them. I still need to go check out that video. Found a better spot the other day. Thanks
For a random spot, I'd be pretty happy about that! Nicely done! Very interesting about the lack of magnetics like Australia has tin vs magnetite. Is that common?
The amount of black sand varies from stream to stream. The next stream over from this has tons of magnetic black sand. We found a even better spot this week.
