I read Strange the Dreamer, Illuminae and Gemina, Crooked Kingdom, a Court of Mist and Fury, Siege and Storm and the Queen of the Tearling :) I honestly adored strange the dreamer, the writing style really clicked with me and I loved the plot and characters📚
Najma Xx did you like Everything, Everything, i read it and it was probably one of the worst bookq I've read, it's so wattpad-y ! what did you think of it ?
Malak Zyneb I really enjoyed it, in fact that was the first book I ever read in a day. It was very easy to read and the characters are very likeable I love madaline and olly I love their relationship too. I think it's a book anyone could read and enjoy☺️
Najma Xx exactly, it is too easy to read and the personalities are great and all , but if you ever read anything on wattpad it's the exact same thing just this one got published
April Wrap-Up 1. A Court of Thorns and Roses 2. A Court of Mist and Fury 3. Fangirl 4. All the Bright places 5. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (reread) 6. The Amazing Book is not on fire
I read: Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban (reread) Harry Potter and the goblet of fire (reread) Truthwitch Heartless A monster calls Everything Everything ❤
I read these books in April: - City of Heavenly Fire - Maybe Someday - Ugly Love - Love and Gelato My favorite was obviously CoHF! It's my favorite book I've read this year 😍😍
In April I read: •The Demigod Diaries •On the Fence •Alex, Approximately •The Truth About Forever •Of Fire and Stars •The Darkest Minds •Never Fade •In the After light •Lady Midnight (re-read) •Black Beauty
Oh! I loved History is All You Left Me too!! I cried multiple times during and after that book! So good! Glad you enjoyed it too! 5/5 stars and pretty much just raved about how much I loved it in a book review video I posted! So good!!
i read so few books this month! i'm in a slump :( but since everyone was doing this in the comments i decided to join in; i reread Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon (4/5 stars), read Lost in a book by Jennifer Donnelly (2.75/5) and The Giver by Lois Lowry (4/5)
I also DNF'd Strange the Dreamer. It was so overwritten and I wasn't invested in the story enough to push on. I think I should start with Daughter of Smoke and Bone and get used to her writing.
I got back into reading after a really really long reading slump (I'm talking years) and I'm so happy I've got back into it. Last month I read: Bridget Jones Diary by Helen Fielding, Carrie by Stephen King, Girl Online by Zoe Sugg, Horns by Joe Hill, And I've just finished Shopaholic and Sister :)
In April I read "These Broken Stars" (which I gave an A+), "Caraval" (B+), "Lair of Dreams" (A-), and "Daughter of the Pirate King" (B+). All in all, it was a really good reading month for me.
My wrap up: 1. The rest of us just live here 2. edge of everything 3. unscripted joss bryd 4. first live 5. holding up the universe 6. one of us is lying 7. clean I have a wrap up video for it all too if y'all are interested
April wrap up: Stranger than fan fiction by Chris colfer (loved it I want more ya from him) Everything everything by Nicola Yoon ( I need to see the movie) Before I fall by Lauren Oliver (reread still love it years later wanna see the movie badly!)
I read FIrstlife this month toooo! I enjoyed it! I think I even gave it like 4 stars, although Ten indecisiveness was so frustrating!!! I think that was really my biggest problem with the book. I also read, Clockwork Princess (Cassandra Clare), Saint Anything (Sarah Dessen), Soundless (Richelle Mead), Illuminae (Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff), Caraval (Stephanie Garber), and Warm Bodies (Issac Marion) this month!! So all-in-all a pretty good reading month!! :)
I just read one book in April because I'm busy with my a-level exams and stuff (can't wait until it is over and I can read more again:D). But I read "The Seven Sisters" by Lucinda Riley and I rely liked it^^
This might be weird but you've been such an inspiration to me lately! I signed up for college a couple of days ago and decided to study English. You definitely inspired me to look into it more and I'm very happy that I did. Now I'm just hoping I get accepted.
I love that Beauty Queen was a required read for your class! :D Awesome ;) I read that one years ago and really enjoyed it as well but haven't picked up anything else by her since. Do you have anything in particular you would recommend?
I tried reading Strange The Dreamer this April but I stopped reading it because I felt like I was forcing myself to read it and this May, I will try reading it again.
In April I read -On the other side by Carrie hope fletcher -Sarah's Key by Tatania De Rosnay -Fantastic beasts and where to find them (screenplay) by JK Rowling -A court of mist and fury by Sarah J Mass I also say three plays/ musicals -A midsummers night dream -Matilda the Musical -Les Mis
Caitlin Wickens haha I have read all of them except for acomaf and Matilda. but then I have actually never been a fan of the matilda film. and i hated acotar xD what did you think of on the other side and sarah's key
Emma L. On the other side was a lot better than what I was expecting from Carrie. I love her but I didn't assume that she would have such a good writing style. Like the story and world was much more complex than I thought. Sarah's Key was also good but I did prefer Sarah's point of view to Julia's. but that's just because I found Sarah's story more intriguing. I actually have a booktuber channel (Caitlin and Jaz Books) where I talk about these in a wrap up 😊😊
Caitlin Wickens I did really love sarah's key but I wasn't a big fan of the ending. Have you read all i know now by carrie? i believe she is also coming out with a new book this year
Emma L. There is also a film of Sarah's key (that's what made me buy the book) and although it's pretty much the same so did prefer it to the book so if you haven't already seen it I highly recommend it. And no, I have not but now that I know how great she is I definitely want to read her other stuff
Caitlin Wickens I probably need to rewatch the film. I saw it like 6 years ago so i don't remember a lot. Also all i know now has some little theatre puns in it and haha so i think you'll probably like it. and west end's les mis is probably the best performance of les mis in my opinion
My April wrap-up: King of thorns The beast is an animal To catch a killer Daughter of the pirate King Blackhearts A court of thorns and roses A court of mist and fury Blacksouls First year Apprentice I love the everlife series you need to read the second book and your questions will be answered
I failed in my April Wrap Up...I am in a reading slump and only finished two books. And one of those books wasn't even 300 pages... :( Glad you had a successful reading month even if it wasn't a full month! Have fun in Europe!
I love you Hailey, I'm 12 years old and I will be so pleased if you recommend me some books of Fantasy, Dystopian or maybe some easy, cute contenporary. Thanks and hope you answer. 😘
I know I'm not Hailey, but if you want some recommendations,I'd like to give you some: -Fantasy:The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare(my favourite series ever) -Dystopian:It sounds clichè,but The Hunger Games by Susanne Collims is a really good trilogy and I feel like it is the original dystopian story.I also liked Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard(it seems dystopian, but I don't know if it really is,lol). This one has some tropes though, but I didn't mind so much. -Contemporary:Fangirl and Eleanor&Park by Rainbow Rowell are the most recent ones that I've read and I loved them. Also,We were liars by E.Lockhart was a really good contemporary, but it's kind of to the dark side, not really fluffy and cute.
Inella Lifestyle Hey, I am (obviously) not Hailey and my English is terrible (sorry in advance). I'd recommend you the series Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini - 4 books in total. The books have dragons, spells, and action (and 1 movie). If you want something more difficult to read, try books by George Orwell, like 1984 or Animal Farm. If you want a kinda cliché story but amazing characters, read Holding Up the Universe by Jennifer Niven - it's about a girl that used to be the fattest teen of the US, and a boy who can't recognise faces.
Benika Krůželová Thank you very much! I will check out your recommendations because they seem really amazing. I will actually (re) see her recommendations videos and noted the new books that catch my attention. Thank you a lot, 😘
My April wrap up was 1.Elins Air - Emily Stanford 2.Divergent 3.Insurgent Then I didn't have any money so I couldn't buy alligent and insurgent wrecked me so I was in a reading slump until June... whooops😁
In April I read: Harry Potter and the philosophers stone Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets ACOTAR ACOMAF Daughter of smoke and bone My not so perfect life Shiver Fangirl The book thief Anya's ghost The upside of unrequited Scythe Percy Jackson and the lightening thief A study in charlotte
Haha, well the Harry potters were audiobooks, and anyas ghost was a graphic novel and only took about an hour to read the whole thing. I'm a pretty fast reader usually :)
Awesome vid Hails! Here's my April wrap-up: Diplomatic Immunity The unexpected everything P.S. I like you By your side The distance between us The fill-in boyfriend In the fence
How does someone "2 star" Samuel Beckett?! This is someone whose contributions to literature involve taking a hacksaw to speech and meaning, and who undid the nature of dramatic form-- a trailblazer! Historians have literally created a literary movement based almost entirely on Beckett's work. SO CONFUSED about the 2 star. smh. The other day I saw Emily 2 star George Orwell's 1984. Booktube, you're letting me down.
Yeah, when I saw you were reading 13 little blue envelopes, I said to myself that book is not great.I gave it the same rating as you, such a disappointment.
Mosquitoland Fans of the Impossible Life History Is All You Left Me The Serpent King Our Chemical Hearts Are We There Yet? Holding Up the Universe Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (I'm 24 and I'm reading HP for the first time. Believe it or not!)
Oh and History Is All is also on my tbr and I'm a little afraid of it because the idea of connecting with the new boyfriend sounds creepy, so I'm happy you think it's great, my motivation just totally went up :)
I did not like Everland, was so disappointed. I felt that it was too forced to try to remind us they were kids, as at times they acted like adults and had adult like conversations. I agree that the Hook character was juvenile and whiny, but so was everyone else. Will not be continuing on with the series.
I feel like you're really negative in your videos and way too critical on the books you read. I think you think too much into it, rather than just relaxing and enjoying the book. Reading shouldn't be so serious.
Amber Greene it really just depends on what your hobby is. Hailey's is reading so it makes sense that she takes everything seriously. And it'd be boring if she just said she loved every single book. People watch her to get honest reviews!
My hobby is reading as well. And I don't take it so seriously. Do I read books I don't like? Of course. I just don't like the way she goes about it. I enjoy honest reviews, but when a youtuber nit picks every book they read, and dislikes more books than likes them, I get bored. I don't always want to hear about books she doesn't like. 70% of the books she reads, she has something negative to say about it. I think that might be why she doesn't have as many followers as other booktubers. And that's just my honest opinion.
Slytherin here. I like that she gives the good and bad. Unfortunately, too many booktubers overrate books, which leads to many readers wondering if their reviews are biased because they're paid. Many books lately have been rated too high without sufficient critique. One can relax, enjoy and critique a book. She can follow the hive or go her own way and give well-rounded reviews, which I prefer.
Interesting that you find she often is negative rathen than positive..!... Because I feel exactly the opposite! :P In fact I was thinking how this video was an exception to her other videos given the mostly bad reviews, so I assumed she just happened to pick up books she didn't like that much this month.. :P And then I saw your comment!! haha ! It is very interesting how different people see the same thing so the other way round...! Also, I think that she is so full of positive energy every single moment even when stating something she doesn't like much, and that is really rare, because the usual is to comment on the bad and be full of negativity (in your aura and body language, if that makes any sense.. :) ) (so it is very interesting again for me that you find her really negative instead...) Thus, I personally really don't mind when she makes bad reviews (I don't find it happens that often, though) because she always has something good to say, plus, she stays positive no matter what...! :D Lastly, if you are still reading ( :D ) I really think that she doen't take reading too seriously, not the process and all, but I mean, given the content of the books she chooses, the majority are casual and very relaxing readings! .. But all in all, the point is for us to watch all these youtubers out there in order to have a good time, so we should stay with whoever speaks to our heart the most...! :D

A Slytherin Reader you may disagree and that's fine but my comment wasn't for you, it was for her.
Lastly, if you are still reading ( :D ) I really think that she doen't take reading too seriously, not the process and all, but I mean, given the content of the books she chooses, the majority are casual and very relaxing readings! ..
But all in all, the point is for us to watch all these youtubers out there in order to have a good time, so we should stay with whoever speaks to our heart the most...! :D
