Yes yes, I made it. Like all the others have said before me....Lauren, you are the best. You teach in a super beginners friendly way ! Just what we, the beginners, need! A hello from the Netherlands.
I've had my guitar for years now. Until I found your videos in January, I just couldn't get it. Now I play so many songs and I'm WAY more confident. Thank you!
Bravo Lauren ..
Hi. Lauren. I see over 100,000 subscribers. After I saw you a while ago. I predicted your success. Your have worked tirelessly and been very savey on your approach. A big congratulations to you. Let's get you to 200,000 subscribers. Remember it's your personality and ability to connect to people who want an intelligent non complicated easy road to enjoying playing guitar. You have delivered far beyond anyone's expectations. You did it through hard work and dedication. Again a super congratulations.
Thank you Lauren Bateman for the suggestion of the strumming pattern for this song. The third one sounds the best for this song in my opinion . I was using Tracy Chapman version of this song. Thank you for all you do to help us the Guitarist.
Brings back memories. Thank you. CCR, Looking Out My Back Door? I learn quickly with your method of teaching, the tunes I played long ago and couldn't remember the chords. Thank You again..
Thank you, your teaching style and great explanations are brilliant for beginners, perfect for me. Well done for such calm and supportive teaching. Have a lovely day.
Hey just wanted to say I think you are awesome. Your teaching style is so good and by far the best UA-cam guitar instructor I've seen. You really have help me grow with my guitar....Would love to see you teach more Elvis please.......Thank for doing this channel....
Thank you so much! I'll try by my guitar to improve my (lack of) rythm, as soon as I've got again one🎸! 🤪 In the meantime it's useful to try to follow you just with my hand as well! 😄
I’ve been playing the guitar and piano most of my life. But there are some great songs to have a go at here and I really like the teaching technique. Nobody is ever past learning something new.
I also like the way Lauren teachers how to use the capo to play this song in the Key of G. Like the way we can do this with. Take me home Country roads. I also noticed that Lauren substitutes the F major chord for the F major 7 chord. With her lessons. It took me years to master the full F chord. I strongly recommend Lauren’s guitar lessons.
Pretty awesome, you're gifted from God...this is big help for me how to strumm nicely with my guitar. Thank you thank you very much Lauren...God bless you
Love that guitar on the wall....!!! Nice.... Perhaps you could recommend me an electric semi-hollow that can be played a variety of music gender.. Really appreciated Much blessings
Another informative lesson as always... Hi Lauren, such a classic this one, it’s just so funny, The Police with their song, Every Breath You Take, has the same cchords and format as well. Perhaps Sting was thinking along the lines of this particular tune in mind. The only difference is that on their song, they’re using add nine chords as opposed to the regular open chord variety. Yes, I’m asking again, please do a tutorial of The Beatles, Here There and Everywhere? It be real cool if yo u taught that song, because it has at least six barre chords, somewhat intermediate but also a great tune... You Rock, take care.
Hey Kevin, thank youfor the recommendation. I get lots of song requests so I cannot guarantee that I will get to it, but I will definitely add it to my list.
Hey Lauren thanks heaps for this fun lesson ! I can do the hard version of this song , but instead of playing the F sharp minor bar chord I play the much easier simple 3 string version of F sharp minor chord at the second fret :)
I learned this simple version a couple of months back and it works really well, particularly with a palm mute on the 2 and the 4, apologies if you get to this but I haven't watched the whole video 😉. Keep up the good work Lauren 👍
this was so helpful as iam a beginner , i had a problem while switching to chords that fast but ill tend to practice more and one day ill be able to do it smoothly like you 😊
Thank you so much for these videos! I’m just starting out at 44 years of age, and I have a 12 year old who’s been playing for a few years. It’s nice to share in this world with him. I have a question about this particular video. When you transition from the verse goin C D G G into G G EM EM, is there supposed to be something to break up the four straight G chords? I find it sounding a bit odd when I play it. Maybe I just missed something. Thanks again. Love your content!
It's the chord progression. There usually is a solo that comes in at some point. I think it's violin, playing without the violin, it could sound long. Glad you are enjoying learning with your son.
Really enjoyed your Heart of Gold lesson in which you sang. Disappointed that many of your other lessons include great strumming patterns etc but no vocals which make it a lot tougher for me to put the whole song together.
I have been absolutely hopeless with the strumming patterns from the very beginning until I found this video that is the very first one I understood and managed to repeat. Thank you so much! P.S.: As a radio collector I wonder whether it was your radio on the table that is responsible for the little miracle :-)
Really excellent lesson, Lauren!! DDUUDU is the most popular strumming pattern in the world!! Any chance for a lesson of Sittin' On The Dock Of The Bay? Cheers!! :)
Hi Lauren , I'm french and I understand every single word u say ..... Is that what we call '' love '' ?? PP le pew . PS : my wife has to repeat me every things 10 times ... And with u ..easy 1 2 3 and 4 and again 1 2 3 and 4...
Thank you, Paul for the recommendation. I get lots of song requests so I cannot guarantee that I will get to it, but I will definitely add it to my list.”
I'm a beginner, and a quesiton I have is when you play this, it appears your G chord is played without your pinky on the high e? So you're using only 3 fingers? Your easy G uses 2 fingers, and when I look up other videos, people use 4 fingers. I'm so confused. You can play G with only 3 fingers? E, A, and B, no E? Thank you for all your videos and help. 36 years old and never picked up a guitar until now.
