I recently had a tyre blow out and the failure was due to the tyre perishing rather than a puncture from a stick or the like.
I've done less than 1000 km on it , the tyres are very thin walled and not great , but I maintain it is a good bike, but keep in mind new tyres earlier rather than later are a good idea

the bike has catastrophically failed in the rear hub, easily thousands of km on it and don't feel ripped off at all for the price
A fine purchase that performed admirably for the 2 years or so that I got it
