Hello friends! This is a chatty GRWM video. I've been on my weight loss journey for about 6 years now and still going (kinda) strong. Looking back at it now, I've had specific experiences that shaped me to the person I am today. Let me know if you guys have had similar experiences or felt the same things I have. I'd love to create a safe space for everyone so we can all heal and grow together
Wow! Love this positivity!!! Losing weight is not an easy thing, so going out there and looking for inspiration for stories shows that you're ready and able to ride with the waves. Best of luck!!
You know I really appreciate your honestly.I have watch so many vidoes about how women in particular get treated after weigth loss. if I could sum it in most vidoes that I have watched they more or less said that they felt invisible by the world and once they lost a certain amount of weigth they became visible to the world it's like night and day honestly after thier weigth loss people treated them with more respect and people in general was just nicer to them and more accepting verse when they were overweight it was the opposite. I have even watched a vidoe about a how when she was overweight they did not hire her and when she lost the weigth they hired and here is the thing she said that she gave them the exact same answers that she did when she was overweight but the only thing that change was her weigth loss and overall just becoming more attractive btw she also loss about 100 pounds or more when she went back to the intrview
wow! Thank you for the honesty comment. I never thought I'd be able to reach so many people just by being myself. But that is so sad ... to experience that type of body shame can be so traumatizing, especially if it was a work place that you treasured and stood behind. It's sad to hear that some people or companies really look at people differently. Thanks for the comment, it was super interesting. I feel like I should look into making more self love videos when it comes to weight loss because that can be really hard on someone who is still picking up the pieces ...
@@BlancheTecson thank you for replying and the ironic thing about it was that it was a sit down job the thing about that stuck with me in that vidoe was that looks matter and they can help
@@joelprince4170 yess, from my own experience and the video you were talking about, it does sound like looks play a part in our daily lives. But with that being said, I hope people focus on the feeling and health aspect first before they choose to lose weight vs the feeling of wanting to belong :(
yeah ppl are more tolerant of you when you're skinny or pretty. i remember listening to a luke narwhal video on the treatment after weight loss. one guy basically said "my cousin always had a bad attitude but people only noticed when she lost weight." I went through a really tough depression where i lost all of my superficial friends. if i wasn't their happy jester slave then i was nothing to them. one even commented on how moody i was. didn't actually ask how i was, he noticed i was down and would mock me behind my back because of it. i wonder if i was skinny would he have acc cared enough to ask how i was doing??
The guy at 5.20…….. even if he didn’t say thicc. Any time men say ‘I don’t deserve you’ as a reason to not date you, they have a very conscious problem with you. What trash. Sorry you got that.
what problem do they have with us when they say this? Exes told me this too and I learned it's a red flag because I feel it also primes us to accept less than the bare minimum so he has you always trying to make him feel less bad for being less of a man
Girl I really liked your video ! It’s really deep and I recognize myself in you ! Please be sure to fix your focus on your camera because sometimes we cannot see you well

I remember seeing that video as well. I don’t remember who the content creator was, but it was indeed an eye-opening story.
