Never too late. Thx docs.
Appreciate it!
Excellent advice. Thanks for sharing E&P.
Thanks Mark
My doctor who diagnosed me 60 years ago encouraged me in many ways to believe in acceptance and good control! Today, I still practicing of what he told me and am living a complications-free life!
That's awesome, Doug. So nice you had a great doctor from the get go!
@@TCOYDtv Thanks so much! Really enjoy your videos for encouragement!!
LOVE LOVE YOU GUYS. YOU ARE AWESOME.
YOU are awesome! Thanks Deborah!
Great quotes. I'd love to hear what else made it to the top-20 list! Mmmmmm, donuts.
Hi Jason,
Here are a few more of 'em!
1. Diabetes…Knowledge is power! Share hare Your Knowledge with your Friends and family…educate them! Be smart and be persistent!
2. Get on a diabetes warrantee program: eyes, kidneys, nerves, heart and teeth and gums
3. Know your numbers: Your glucose meter and CGM devices are your own personal laboratory in the palm of your hands
4. Find a good provider who listens and has empathy. Help him/her take better care of you!
5. Live life first and be diabetic second. Stay positive, refuse to be a victim and keep a sense of humor!
@@TCOYDtv Thanks!!! Spendid!
I do eat donuts and candy in moderation. Sometimes I dessert and sometimes I don’t. With being a Type 2 diabetic, I told my Doctor that if I have a craving for sweets I’m going to give in to that craving,I don’t deny my self. Always in moderation.
For sure - moderation is key.
Is it a good idea to see a diabetes endo or primary physician
I liked my endo in Alaska so much!! Then, last year I moved to Texas. OMG! It's been a nightmare. Hoping my appointment next (on 2/6) is better...with the new Endo.
Good luck! 🤞
dr e do you find that certain spots for your omnipod don’t deliver enough insulin
Hi Georgia - Thank you for your question! Not spots, but when starting a new pod, it can take a few hours to even a half day or so for the absorption to “kick in.”
If anyone here is using the CGM that they put inside your body let me know as I would like to hear about your experience with it so far.
Hi Jack, Dr. Edelman is going to have the Eversense inserted on Wednesday, so he'll also be sharing his experience with it in a month or two. But we would be curious to hear other people's experiences as well!
@@TCOYDtv I wasn't impressed with the company in terms of customer service. I send a message inquiring. They just responded with my insurance doesn't cover it. My United healthcare initially denied my Medtronic system but my endocrinologist followed through on it and I got it. They didn't seem too interested/helpful/determined etc.
@@jackschitt6235 Sorry to hear that, Jack. Hopefully things improve...please do keep us posted.
@@TCOYDtv I'm not happy with Medtronic. I know this isn't politically correct but I really hate getting people whose English I can barely understand sometimes when I call. What are the higher ups thinking when they subject their customers to the frustrating situation?
I use Freestyle Libre 2. It's amazing, a game changer. It helps me understand and manage my blood sugar levels. I couldn't live without it. Abbott will send you a free "trial" one that is good for 2 weeks (at least they used to).
