The reason they nailed it is because they picked for needs & they got some studs, can't wait to see this team play this season.
But drafting for need is one of the worst ways, past draft hauls basically say: You draft best player available.
@@bucsredsoxredwings Jarad was projected to go earlier in the draft, and he was one of the top edge defenders ( which the Rams desperately need ) so it was a great pick for what was left, they tried to move up but no one wanted to trade, this was the best situation they could get and filled a big need, and I think he will be a good player but not a sexy pick, but a very good pick!

This draft has the potential to be better than last year’s draft for the Rams. And last years draft was outstanding.
I love the Corum pick. Kyren Williams faced the same physical critiques and that worked out just fine. He's going from Harbaugh to Mcvay so he should be plug and play with high quality intangibles and at the worst be a far better backup for Kyren than previous. Would have liked to see the Rams address TE with the Hig injury but whatevs.
They put too much workload on Williams last season. Getting Corum was the right call

Iam a Michigan fan and I promise this dude is a winner and the knock on his size is hilarious there was a dude that was the exact same size and wore #20 for the Lions and he was kinda good 😂 also Jahmyr Gibbs got all the same hate when the Lions picked him with their 2nd pick and he only gave us 1000yds rushing 300 yds rec and 12 Tds and nobody is talking about his size anymore either
Also if anyone saw the Montgomery and Gibbs one two punch last year this is now what the Rams have
The kicker is cause they tried what you said last year about "just sign a guy" and it resulted in like the worst kicking game in the nfl. In the face of that gotta try a new approach
There was about 3 kickers this year that were considered draftable, and the Rams had to get one. Can always bring in a cheap veteran to compete for the job. But I think the kid is gonna be good.

Corum is Kyren insurance because he doesnt get injured. And with McVay finding the run game with Stafford at QB, its perfect value even though a lot of people dont agree.
People said the same thing when the Lions drafted Jahmyr Gibbs in the first round. "I wouldn't have done that" "that wasn't a good value pick" Lions made a strange move. Blah blah blah Gibbs gave us 1000 yds rushing another 300 rec and 13 Tds and the media put their foot in their mouth!!! Corum is a winner and he will make all the naysayers choke on it
I agree on your take with corner. I would have loved to take a corner in the 3rd. We are really thin there. It’s DWill or bust basically. If he goes down or has a bad season we are relying an Tre White recovering from a bad injury or back to DK/Cobie. Not fun.

With the oline they are putting together they don’t need a bruising back. They are going with a specific scheme at rb I think it’s more of an insurance incase Williams gets hurt or needs a break they won’t miss a beat in the offense. It’s like having two of the same backs and can run the offense without having to change a thing. I do miss the big backs we are known to get in the past though. Dickerson, Jackson, Gurley .
Blake Corum beats Kyren Williams in every measurable trait. Strength, speed, size, vertical, 3 cone…. Every single drill he beat Kyren, so to say he might not have the traits and they already have a good rb, seems a little curious

Sean McVay, especially last year, began to build his offense in a 'Bill Walsh' model the year after the Super Bowl, when they had SO many injuries. His O-line is structured MORE for run blocking and this is meant to preserve Matt Stafford for as many years as possible. He's going to USE Blake Corum and Kyren Williams as a ONE TWO punch over and over. You're going to see bubble screens, hitch passes and all sorts of plays meant to get the ball out QUICK. After the MAULING Stafford took in Detroit, McVay is DONE trying to wait for LONG routes to develop. He doesn't have the speed at WR for that and he really doesn't have the TE to draw extra coverage from the LB's. He's rethinking his offensive philosophy but it's GOING to work. The Rams will lead the league in rushing and I see all the starting WR's having very productive years, especially Robinson. They're built to compete in the post season, again, it's going to work.

Corum will spell Kyren, and vice versa, and you don’t have to change the plays. Similar builds. They can catch the ball out of the backfield and they can block. These two on offense will be like Verse and Fiske on defense. Corum is a football player. A very good football player. This offensive tandem will be a good thing for the offense. No matter what armchair or game-chair super genius may think- this pick for Corum was a smart move. Kyren has two years left on his contract so there is that also. It’s the NFL- you never know.

First of all Corum will not be sitting on the bench he will play with Kryren as a two headed monster
