- Rams Day 3 picks are in and the UDFA class is signed. The 2024 Draft is a wrap, and the Rams seemed to have carried over some of the same methodologies from 2022 that propelled them to a 10-win season in 2023. But now, with a 1st round pick in Jared Verse, pairing him with his brother in Braden Fiske and truly bolstering up the defense from top-to-bottom, there's plenty of reasons to believe this team is going to be really tough to beat again in 2024. They have exactly what they need to put another really successful product on the field for us Rams fans once again. Shoutout to Coach McVay, Les Snead and the whole organization for giving us constant hope and reasons to believe.

This draft worked out so well. Like Mcvay said after day 2 if someone told them they would come away with the 4 players that they drafted, he wouldn't believe them.

Josh Karty is going to be huge for the Rams. A lot of boards consider him the best kicker in the draft and the Rams were hurting at the kicker position. They went through multiple kickers last year and the ones they had combined for about 74% makes during the season. During the draft, kickers aren't highly valued, but during the season they are so important. They drafted a punter last year and a kicker this year. Solid underrated moves. Also, really like the UDFA signing of Drake Stoops WR from Oklahoma. I think he makes the roster.

I saw where one draft oulet where saying rams wasted a pick on the kicker. I know they where not follow the team last year. A good kicker and the rams would have won 2-3 more games. Happy the spent a 6th, would have been ok with a 5th . Great pick

I loved this draft, however, I couldn't help but noticed this was a very needs based draft. And yet, the only round in which had to reposition themselves was round 2 with Fiske. I thought the board fell very nicely for them in every other round! Still not loving that 3rd 6th round pick as I felt there were better players still on the board, (at least two at the same position) but he does seems to fit with the personality traits of all of their other picks.
I'm really excited to see this new defensive front and how everyone gets used!

First, I love this draft. Especially Josh Kardy. And they got a RB who can rotate with Williams so the Rams can stay with their system.
I like Brennan, but his scouting report remarked that he is very strong, but his hand work is sub par. He is unable to fend iff blocks and winds up chest to chest with an O lineman, and is rendered neutralized.
As a 6th year senior it is troubling that it was never fixed.
I pray that the Rams asst coaches can succeed where the Washington State coaches failed.

In his interview with Chris Long he said he hated camp. Having to stay at work until 8pm. I think it is a possibility as well, once the season starts.
It has to be considered, how many roster spots exist. You can’t perpetually add bodies without deleting. If you can’t play OT or snap the ball you won’t make the club as OL. If you can’t contribute on ST you won’t make the team at WR or RB.
I certainly hate giving up a 2025 2nd rounder in order to move up less than 15 spots to draft Fiske.
Think we agreed here and said we would’ve preferred to include the 3rd round comp for Morris from 2025. Good on Carolina to demand more as they likely sensed the Rams’ urgency

They’re only reaches if they don’t pan out. Hard to not trust this front office coming out of last year’s draft. They build winners and bring in guys who rep the organization well!

I laugh at all the vitriol about how great of a draft 2024 was... not that we don't desire a SB victory, but c'mon, at every selection there was a better prospect available at same position as actual Rams pick. I am aok with 4 or 5 of the picks, although I'd went a different direction. As always, play data will rule.
Yeah well this is the account that was telling everyone the Rams would win 10 games last year while people were commenting “nah, we’re tanking for Caleb Williams”. Perhaps we just trust that the front office is smarter than the fan base.
hey, but nobody in my body suit ever pulled a Patches "you'll never win 10 games rhetoric"... last year was due to an essentially "injury free" season... had injuries been "a thing", I am not so sure 5 wins would have culminated into fruition.
The Snead draft history proves the Front Office does not really know jack for players ftmp save for a handful of spot on picks...identifying issues, sure... but like timeouts, the clock, scheme adjustments, etc... McVay still has inner demons after 5 seasons he has yet to fix and ameliorate, lol... we all see it every game...

Davis and Limmer were 4X ACC and SEC all team. Limmer is a total beast. He will start for the Rams very quickly.

HELLO GOOD BROTHERS! Don't tar and feather me, but Verse is a bust pick. Stats show Verse was not Top 10 or Top 20. Verse was #24...Brennan was tied for #20... Brennan .69 sacks per game, Verse .67 sacks per game. Verse and Fiske are quitters. Stats showed Ellis should have been Rams pick.
If Verse is so strong, why was he #24 rated qb rusher... picked at 19 overall, and Verse was not an ascending player, both Fiske and Verse played for an over-rated FSU team to boot.
AD was an ascending player who was schemed against his junior season by O-Lines, and all that occured was higher TFL's for AD at the expense of a handful of sacks...then, AD learned how to beat O-Lines double teaming him, and his Senior year was as dominant as the best in history...
