They’ve finally managed to get Jacob a girlfriend! Jk. Like this one! Shame his voice is so saturated and buried in the mix but I get it’s a stylistic choice.
I feel a little confused about people pretty much saying TDP didn't have shoegaze elements. That album was very atmospheric, and the voice lines weren't *always* that audible/ at the forefront. Like has anyone heard The Haze or Red Summer? If they released either as a single they'd be like "wow, Thornhill changed". I give TDP credit for myself getting into shoegaze in general. Obviously vibes are similar to Deftones and Loathe but this really is its own thing. Standard, modern metalcore is far far more saturated
Was pretty unsure how I felt about this one, but after seeing them play this live it’s easily one of top 5 from them now. I’m excited to hear the rest of the album

@@BETTER.ART. I think all three of their singles are terrible and don't like their new direction. Don't see how it is an over reaction.. Plenty of bands have changed their sound and fans stop listening. Nothing wrong with that.
@@BETTER.ART. I didn't say RIP Thornhill. I said "RIP the Thornhill I loved". I am saying the Era of Thornhill I enjoyed is over, now they are moving on to other things. Obviously this won't end their band, and will most likely end up more successful after this album launches. You should try learning how to read before shit talking to people on the internet. It's a rather useful skill.
Sounds very interesting, I dig the 2 singles from before but maybe it's easier to subconsciously pretend it's from different band (at least for now). Everyone got so attached to Thornhill's prog metalcore vibe that it somehow accidentally became they signature sound and I suppose they just want to try new things too. It's rather drastic change, maybe they'll go full shoegaze after this album. BMTH and Linkin Park for example are also bands with very significant genre changes on each album and it's one of the things I love about them. I'm little sad that the songs are not that interesting as pretty much anything they did previously but it's kinda unique in its own way, the Deftones influence is huge. Even if this album won't be as good as TDP, it is a stepping stone for things to come. That being said, I'm still excited to hear the full length, going very open-minded into this, although still hoping for something little more heavier and proggier to make appearence.

Loved that 90's riff at the start
@@wereallgoingaway3100 Yes Arkangel is my favorite song I love the 90's that's why I go back to arkangel it's a banger that's why I go back to Arkangel becuase that opening riff goes hard then the breakdown kicks in it was in my number 2 best song of 2022 does it have some problems yes but I will continue to support thornhill no matter what I became a fan in 2021 and checked their music out in the spring.
When I first heard "Casanova" off the upcoming record, I absolutely hated it... boy how times have changed. Love all three singles, Heroine is going to slap!
Same as me! Id rather have the band create the music they want instead of what the fans wants. The change they made is huge which is why I think it will take some time for older fans to really appreciate this upcoming album. I know its dumb to even talk about it now but i hope the album after Heroine (Assuming the best here) will progress even more in whatever direction they want.
Love this aesthetic goin on with these releases so pumped for the album!!
The band took such an awesome turn that this is going to be one of the best albums of 2022 without a doubt. The songs are beyond amazing and a level up from anything they've done before. I know some people don't like the direction, but I think it's the best decision they could make. Sure, their previous stuff was good, but this is something else.
this is going to be thornhill's White Pony.
@@jackdanielteasdale598 I could see that. The jump from around the fur to white pony was a rocky one but it was absolutely the best direction they could go. I don’t want The Dark Pool 2 at this moment in my life. I need this.
@@ROUGHSEES exactly that. so long as they don't release a "gore" i'll be very happy with this band!

They’ve finally managed to get Jacob a girlfriend! Jk. Like this one! Shame his voice is so saturated and buried in the mix but I get it’s a stylistic choice.
Definitely wasn't a mistake. Love it or hate it, it was intentional.
Loved the song and loved the artistic choice on the mix, gonna trip to this song after work
How'd ya go?
@@Craigs_mums_bush reverb materialized as a physical being, 10/10
Cmon man I want to hear more of your nice voice, it's buried a bit TOO much ma man.
Standard, modern metalcore is far far more saturated
i liked TDP a lot. check out vexes for more deftones vibessss
I'm listening to Deftones and Loathe as well. They're BOMB!! What's TDP stands for?
@@ge8449 The Dark Pool, Thornhill's last album. It may be a banger if you're into the style
@@QuantumLimp lol I thought you were talking the other band's name. I'm listening to that EP all day long
I'd like to see the people who said TDP has never had Shoegaze becasue I think shit is just dribbling out of your mouth.
Getting MAJOR deftones vibes from this one especially. Loving the new sound and the experimenting but also keeping that thornhill sound in it too. 🔥
check out the band vexes.. speaking of deftones vibes, they nail it
Probably my favorite of the new singles. Cant wait for the album boys
CAN YOU JUST SAY IM IN LOVE WITH A GIRL HERE IN HOLLYWOOOOOOOOODDD
sheesh, this dudes along with Loathe are evolving the entire genre.
It’s going to be so cool seeing you guys in April. This new stuff is a great addition 🔥
Absolute banger of a song
can already tell from the three singles this will be my favorite album of the year so far
Album = Amazing 🤯
i know exactly why thornhill is my favourite band
Is it because of TDP?

I wasn’t crazy about this one when it first dropped, but after a year it has definitely remained a highlight off the record for me!
Love from Indonesia
Totally underrated song, such a good song!!!!!!
Was pretty unsure how I felt about this one, but after seeing them play this live it’s easily one of top 5 from them now. I’m excited to hear the rest of the album
i wish this had a million views but i also like keepin it to ourselves tehe
Im gatekeeping this band for sure lol
I’m absolutely stoked for this album. Been on a self love journey for some time and man….the groove and vibe to these singles got me feeling really confident. Can’t wait for the album to drop!
I am addicted to this.
Yes, I want the full album 🙏🏻
Beyond incredible.
Damn I love this song. It makes me wanna cry and headbang at the same time
Full on. Absolutely BRILLIANT.
so maybe i’m not understanding what everyone’s talking about when they’re saying his vocals are buried in the mix like i can hear what he’s saying just fine. why is this the only band i see this type of complaint about? like im not a genius when it comes to metal i like what i like and i dont listen to what someone tells me should be good right so they have the goblin growling metal that i dont think i will ever understand but hey to each their own but on top of that i have never ever heard one of them type of songs that i even picked up on a single word but people in the comments will be like this is the hardest shit i’ve ever heard etc etc but i’m like how the hell do you even understand this stuff but wtvr. anyways to sum up what im rambling about i really don’t understand what the complaining is about when ive heard it on multiple different speakers i hear what hes saying its just moody vocals like any type of band that does these vocals would sound like
I don’t know what to make of this song. Good for everyone that is digging it.
in love with this track
Definitely my favourite of the 3 singles, roll on June 3rd 😁
Another Thornhill banger on the way.
Bangers after bangers😮💨

I absolutely love this band.
Awesome stuff! Can't wait for the new album!
Thorntones

Nah but this album gonna be a masterpiece fo sho
Riff and ambience at 2:50 hella reminded me of Sleep Token, God BLESS George Lever
well RIP the thornhill I loved over the last few years, I thought we would at least get a follow-up to the dark pool.... sad times
Lol you guys are so dramatic over a change. Get over it
@@BETTER.ART. I think all three of their singles are terrible and don't like their new direction. Don't see how it is an over reaction.. Plenty of bands have changed their sound and fans stop listening. Nothing wrong with that.
@@skylineOwnZall "RIP the thornhill" Yeah because thats gonna end their career. lol
@@skylineOwnZall I don't get how saying that the people here are dramatic, is shit talking :D but I guess you got thin skin if that hurts you
Sounds very interesting, I dig the 2 singles from before but maybe it's easier to subconsciously pretend it's from different band (at least for now).
This took 2 whole weeks to grow on me, but I love it now
This looks and sounds like the djentification of early 90's U2 or some shit. Lovin' it.
this is the best thing ive ever watched
at first i was unsure, TDP is a flawless album to me, but i think i get it now. i understand the theme and aesthetic theyre going for and im in love with it and so excited for the album. fantastic single as always.
The hell y'all talking about? This song fucking grooves. Just like someone earlier in the comments said, "This stylistic choice is one of the reasons I love this band" carry on fellas. This album just shot to the top one of my years most anticipated. 👍
