Trust me, I love TDP. One of my favorite metalcore albums of all time. Heroine is also great, this new track is also great. Yeah, it’s different and it may not be what you want, but it’s not about what you want. This is what they want to make and I promise you if they bent the knee and gave you what you wanted, you still wouldn’t be happy with it because it wouldn’t be genuine.

Plus if they keep disregard the audience from what they want to hear, they will end up losing their audience. Remember when Megadeth made Risk album? Everyone hated it and They went back to metal once again.
See, if I wanted to listen to Arctic Monkey, I would not look for a new track from Thornhill. Alas, Arctic Monkey on wish is what we got with this one. They had a good debut but seems like they were not meant for more.

One thing I’ve come to love about the new Thornhill sound is they are not afraid to do what they love. They aren’t worried about the conventional metalcore route to appeal to the masses. And that’s what sets them apart from the rest. Such a talented group of guys! I absolutely love this song and I can’t wait for a new album!

tbh I find it so cool they stopped the Dark Pool identity, because in my opinion a band can't do two albums like TDP, and I really love the fact that they're trying new things, I think I actually prefer this song than Heroine (it's more fun and also the artistic direction of the video is beautiful)
Well said. They were never going to top TDP, it’s a 10/10 album, so no point trying to just put out a clone of it. Lots of bands fall into that trap. Glad to see they’re not one of them.
I saw them live yesterday on Tour with Holding Absence in my Hometown of Norwich in the UK and this is the first song they played and it was such an amazing experience
I listen to this band since Butterfly and from that moment I knew they were going this road. I really liked this! Kind of a british shoegaze vibe, really cool, Thornhill.

I initially wrote Heroine off when the singles started coming out and then after watching live vids and experiencing it live myself it ended up becoming one of my favourite albums of all time. Right up there alongside TDP. This track hasn't hit me immediately but I won't make the same mistake again. Actually as I'm listening through again, I'm already seeing the awesomeness, that chorus is magic.
Jacob is looking like young daniel johns and I'm all for it. Loving the groove and it's great to see Jacob picking up the guitar. Im so excited for LP3
