- Hello friends! ♥ I hope you enjoy this video where I show you my entire process for how I make clay pins :)
I filmed this several weeks ago and there's not a lot of talking in this one, but you do get to see how I mold the polymer clay, bake, paint, glaze, and pack my little fruit friends that were part of my Etsy shop update for May!

When u said u held your breath....i remember assembling a nano collage for about 11 hours and once i had gotten every single piece just how i wanted before glueing i took a sigh of relief and blew the tiny pictures everywhere!!!

I also wanted to say that you are super inspiring to me, I have gotten some nasty comments on my videos about my lil chubby fingers and its really comforting to see someone else out there with similar looking hands just putting in the time and making some really beautiful things. I'm getting teary-eyed as I write this because my heart breaks for you and I'm also so angry that some people would dare say mean things about someone who just wants to share their art. For the longest time, I was scared of making videos and of showing myself on camera (even my chubby little fingers) because I knew that mean comments were inevitable. The fear is still there every time I press the publish button, but I do it anyway because my love for illustration and music is bigger and louder than any stupid/mean comment. Nobody deserves to be shamed for the body (or friggin fingers!) that they have. Those people who say nasty things are doing nothing useful with their time and are adding nothing but hate to an already angry and hate-filled world. You are being brave and generous by sharing a piece of yourself with the world through your art. Be brave and keep creating. You are not alone. How do you decide on the baking temperature? How do you know it is done?

Hi Shreya! Always check the packaging of your clay. It usually has the instructions on it :)

Can you suggest some other glazes instead of resin or maybe something that doesn't require a uv light
You can also try sculpey glaze :) that's the one I use for the back of the pins

Ooh do you mean on clay pins specifically? It takes me several layers to make them look more even, and the further along I get in terms of layers, the less strokes I do. I hope that makes sense ♡ good luck!

Hello! I get a mix of clients from different industries, but when they hire me, they want me to use my existing art style because that's what made them approach me in the first place :) Hope I answered your question!

Can I use air dry clay to make pins?
Hi! I've seen other people using air dry clay but I have personally not tried it so I'm unfortunately not sure how sturdy they are.
Also if I bake the clay in my oven, is OT safe for me to use the oven to bake food?
Hi Cidel! The clay is not toxic as long as you follow all the instructions in the packaging. It becomes toxic if you overbake the clay or use a temperature that is higher than the recommended temperature, so definitely do your research and follow what the brand's instructions are :) Good luck!
