Absolutely.. a lot of the time it seems that with bigger channels it's more showing off than having a good time. At least we see the whole process, flaws and all.
You did a nice job on painting and cutting out your pins ..you added plenty of detail..and color which gives it more interest and a difference from others I've seen. I am an artist of 40 years in the trade so I understand what I see. You have a talent!🥰
Yes, I know I sat and preached about not eating around clay, but I got some cookie dough during it. I don't even follow my own rules (I did wash my hands though) 😅
For the candle, I think you should do a circle on top and then you can make the wick/flame and the rest of the circle make as the light coming from the flame. It might be an easier way to create a candle without it falling apart. These are all super cute though!
I really like the candle. I haven't seen anyone else make one of those. How about making baseball caps, soccer balls, tennis racquets (draw on the wires on them), little birds, crystals, little books, dogs, rabbits, chickens, ducks, fish, rainbows, clouds, stars, the sun, the moon, clock faces, emojis, I could keep going if you wish.
Great video! I love your free spirit attitude and it inspired me to try my own :) Also, thank you for including the baking of the clay (even with the temp issue lol) because so many polymer clay artists skip the details in their videos and now I know what I was doing wrong ;)
Lovely video! Your clay art is unique I’ve made anime clay heads with Sculpey Air Dry Clay... not the best clay to do 3 dimensional stuff (very crumbly). Luckily, I’ve managed to make 2D stuff with it. I might consider getting the oven bake sculpey clay in the near future. I glaze my clay pieces with resin. It makes the paint super vibrant and just gives it an overall glass-like look! I’ll definitely look into experimenting with mod podge and clay. By any chance, have you tried using E6000 glue for the pins? I think it’s heavy duty glue.
hi! another polymer clay artists. when i first started i also used that michaels cheap clay and all my work was straight up garbage. when i tell you high quality clay like sculpey premo is worth it... i really mean it. Love your designs!
was interested in making clay pins for my shop and omfg im so happy i discovered your channel, i love your humor oh my god 😂your pins also turned out amazing!! you're so talented!
I love your pins out of South Africa, what is the real name of the pins you put at the back, I can't find it but if I had the real name I can order them, thanks Janita
These are so cute! I love the skull and the cat. Using posca pens is such a good idea! I'll have to try that when I make some next time. I use air dry clay, but sometimes they dry a bit wobbly so I'm thinking bout trying the oven clay 🤔 Have you had a problem with the superglue holding the pins on at all? I made one for my friend and the pin came off after a couple of weeks and I think it was because I gesso-ed the back and the superglue must have pulled off the layer of gesso :(
Thanks you first off! And yeah the super glue did not do well! All the pins lost their pin backings. Not sure what to do about that but I know there's a good solution out there somewhere.
Something about smaller art channels have such a genuine feel to them. It's for fun and creativity and I love that

Sanding will help with the bubbles

i love the candle!
Your pins look great and I love your style! I love the cute styles a lot of people are making with their pins, but I love your line work even more.
Aw well thanks so much! I appreciate it!
Your pins are so beautiful omg
Thank you!
The art is fantastic!
Oven thermometer is a must when baking clay. It is totally fine to use the home oven, you just have to tent your items and make sure NOT to burn it.

oh and sculpey is safe for food ovens too!
Beautiful! Perhaps, if you plan everything in a drawing before sculpting, it will make your sculpting time easier.
Good job and thanks for sharing ❤️
That's a good idea! Thank you
That skull is the cutest 😍
Thank you!
freaking cute!!
I enjoyed this tutorial...thank you very much
open a shop also on ETSY selling clay pins: Happiness Lemonade.
So cute :) I'm going to try this
Thank you! And sweet, have fun!
they're cute ^>^ I wonder if sanding the surface would have evened out the bubbles
Thank you and that's a good tip for next time if I overcook them!

Love the video! Can I ask some question if there any substitute for wax paper? Can you use news paper?
Thanks! And yep you can use newspaper if you’d like ☺️
@@Oddsie thanks!!
Hi just wondering, when you paint It are you supposed to see the paint lines, like the texture of the paint?

@@Oddsie oh no :/ I might have to find another solution as well then. Thanks for the info though :)
monkeymintaka Yep! Glad to help 😉
You could maybe try baking the one part of the pin backing partly in the clay when you put it in the oven so that it is secure in the clay?
I subbed!!!
Subbed 🌱🌱
Can you do this with air dry clay?
Yes
No hate but AND WHAT NOT AND WHAT NOT AND WHAT NOTTTT
I know! It's a horrible habit! Def need to get over it and what not ;P
@@OddsieI think it's cute!
