In the case of the factory turbo inlet pipe, mounted between the compressor housing and air intake hose, its purpose is to channel air from the inlet hose into the turbocharger inlet, all while reducing engine bay acoustics. With the ECS 8Y RS3 Big Bore Turbo Inlet Pipe, the factory inlet pipe is removed and replaced with our straight-through, cast aluminum inlet.
