Watching you go through the whole beginning part of getting the tank out was the most helpful UA-cam I could find today as you successfully worked through all the hidden issues as they came up. The other UA-cams would just mention that you just needed to remove the bracket bolts and maybe the filler and vent tube and never work through detaching the hoses and wiring on top of the tank and out of reach. I knew the hoses and wiring were there but was trying to remember which end of the tank I had to lower more to get my arms and hands in there to disconnect. Thanks, and hang in there being a handy husband and dad.
Great Video. I am in the process of remove dual tanks on a 1980 Silverado Stepside & repairing gas line hoses leaking as well as changing both sending units. excellent job on safety & removing fuel. Thanks again Rick
About to do this on my R10 too, I think I can manage. Thank you for paving the way big dog. Feel like I seen a lot, I’ll be back for a refresher when the time comes 🤙🏻
Got a 85 c10 with the stock 6cyl 292. Need to replace old stock sending unit/ pump. Do you think I need the 100 would it hurt anything? What do you have under the hood?
I hope you all realize these trucks are death traps with the fuel tanks on the outside of the frame and the faulty door latches that don't open when hit from the side/T-Bone
I did replace the whole fuel pump. I replaced the sending unit a couple years ago so there was no point in doing it again due to puncture in the pickup filter.

Hey man I have a question about how many fuel pumps the c10 has? 2 or 1?🤔
Nice work. Whts the part number for the fuel pump

What is the part number for the fuel pump with the 100 PSI?
I'll use jack stands to keep that tank up while I take off hoses

It wouldn't hurt being the fuel pressure is regulated and excess fuel will be returned to tank.

They didn't care about safety back then apparently
