I played this game as a kid. I thought it was neat to air bend… now that I think about it I never made it past the first five minutes… Edit: 2:40 its been less than three minutes and its already worse than I remember. How did they ever get the premise wrong? Roku wasn’t killed by Firebenders during Sozin’s comet? How would they even manage to kill him then? He’s a firebender by birth AND the Avatar! He would have had access to the same power boost they did + all other elements + the avatar state. Even if they did kill him they’d have to put all their focus and resources (as in the entire fire nation army) into it leaving them not enough time to genocide the air nomads. Edit 2: 3:47 I like how they couldn’t even be bothered to keep the scar (despite it being in the opening animation). How do you manage to be less accurate than the ember island players?

Imagine how many kids did though after possibly putting the game on hard mode by accident
@@darkprime6815 oh I guarantee that happened in some homes out there. Lol 😂
I've seen or heard your name in Oxhorn's streams. Don't know if you are the same guy.
@@blessanabey8386 The one and only lol 😂👍🏼. I keep using the word Machatta on his streams. Tomb raider joke.
@@Steel-101 Ha ha cool 😂👍
Kev........wow......... your form while bending at the end was far greater than the greatest Avatar that's ever lived. Skills that truly pay the bills dude.
I like how it just turns into Prince of Persia for one mission.
Love how it says “has been killed” despite the fact that Aang was very much about not killing people or creatures it’s like no one did their homework xD
The combat rivals that of Metal Gear Rising, and the dialogue is incredibly thought provoking, a prime example is Aang's iconic line "Looks like I interrupted dinner," a beautiful and intellectual commentary on the disastrous effects of capitalism and the One Percent on our society. This is truly the greatest game in the Avatar The Last Airbender: The Movie: The Game genre.
But MGRR's combat is actually fun.
A + A + A + A + A combo is some platinum games shit for sure lol
Funny how there’s better bending effects in the game than there are in the actual movie
24:50 same issue with some of the other avatar games too.
Aang never learnt any other types of bending and you constantly had to switch between aang, soka, katara and some new character that was an earthbender.
38:43 So aside from how they removed the nuance of Zuko reaching out to Zhao to attempt to save him from getting taken by La and getting rejected by him (since Zhao could be interpreted as a sort of dark reflection of Zuko, in terms of his rage and his need to prove himself), the idea of him getting killed by the Water Benders forming a sphere of water around him and drowning him is a really brutal change.
Reminds me a lot of the deaths in Legend of Korra.
Kevduit, the hero we never knew we needed
"Have you ever woken up bright and early on a Saturday morning?" You lost me already
The cutscenes are the best part of this game, pretty looking art
Man I loved this game so much as a kid. I remember specifically that at 17:10 if you throw a guy through the hole in the wall you complete a challenge called “room with a view.” Idk why I remember it all these years later
I love how the final boss in this video is more about Kev vs everything wrong with the game than anything in the story.
THAT'S why it felt so impactful, I was like, why am I stressed too 😂😂😂
I love how the entire story hinges on someone passing out...like it happens at every lvl lmao he passes out so i can escape i pass out so he can escape over and over lmao
Completely forgot about the part in the film when zuko fought a bunch of mirelurks at the northern water tribe
Game was part of my childhood. I loved being a sadist on the blue spirit mission and getting an adrenaline rush from all the murder.
As someone who watched the original avatar the last Airbender I'm so glad I never played this game or watched the movie. Which is sad to say because avatar the last air bender was dear to my heart when I was young.
I went to see it with my kid sisters. Hated it. At the time I was working on Cowboys and Aliens and was telling someone about how awful the movie was. Guess who was behind me hearing the entire conversation? Noah Ringer.
@@grinningtiki220 O wow, that had to be a major burn for Noah Ringer! Did he say anything to you?
@@rockerspaceman8641 no he just kind of sat there looking dejected.
I made it up to him at the wrap party. Hung out and watched him do magic tricks. He was pretty good at it too.
I remember always being able to ever catch the ending of the movie wherever I saw it showing so many times I thought I was unlucky ,had no idea how lucky I was
Yeah, this and DragonBall Evolution are like my 2 top hated games of properties I love. Lol
Also, since all these big game dev companies can't produce a single banger ATLA game, I really hope Elca Gaming is able to finish his masterpiece and release it to the world for those of us that have Dreams on Playstation. The work that dude has done for the last two years or so is truly incredible. Blows my mind that this "amateur" with literally no experience is making a far better Avatar game than any other dev out there.
Hey Kev, they made an Avatar Korra game in the PS3/360 days and you cant even find it digitally anymore because of a licensing issue (iirc). Might be cool to get your hands on one.
They had a Bending League minigame/mode that was fun.
Still got it on ps3, wish I would of grabbed it for ps4 when I had the chance. It did some stuff pretty well
But that game was made by Platinum and was really cheap so it was actually a good game considering the budget.
The story was mediocre at best, but the gameplay was pure Platinum.
Too bad that if you want to buy it nowdays you're gonna have to pay a lot for it if you even manage to find a key from some shady website.
@@givonniesykes14 yeah I enjoyed it, kev doesnt ALWAYS play garbage games. 😂
I still have it digitally on my xbox account, it's like a little trophy itself hahaha
You mean, the best ATLA universe video game?
I really wish there was a multiplayer version of pro-bending where play all three elemental positions.
Next you should live stream the movie and force your friends to watch
22:02 how the heck does zuko know about yue's backstory? I know aang is the avatar but zuko has some level of omniscience.
It's a real testament to your talent when you can make a boring a$$ video game based on a boring a$$ movie into pure entertainment gold. Hats off to you sir. Hope to see you back in the Wasteland soon.
Wait a sec. In this movie didn't they say fire benders can't make fire? Pretty sure they made a big deal about it. They can even follow their own incorrect lore lmao
True story: Back in 2019, Michael Dante DiMartino was a guest at the Miami Book Fair. I brought a TON of stuff for him to sign, and one thing in particular was a copy of the manga adaptation of this film. He legit looked at me and asked, "Do I have to sign this?" I was like, "I mean... it does have your name in it."
I love when he tries to channel the excitement of "being there" back in the day and trying to pretend to be excited.
I had no idea this game exists, M. Night shamalan made this movie to impress his kids, why was this video game made? Was M. Night not done flexing on his kids?
I love that Zhao's "I killed you!" line unintentionally became 4th wall breaking. Poor Kev.
Kev I really admire you. You are the only one who can tame my anxiety and bad thoughts. Thank you so much for the effort you put on this videos.
If there is anything I could do to support you, let me know
I'm mighty impressed at how your artstyle of Aang in the thumbnail is so similar to the series itself.
So this entire time,Zuko can do Force Unleashed Fire Bending?
And also a Gray Lotus Brotherhood Member?
Some developer didn't say "this is my baby"
They said "this is a paycheck"
as someone who's first crush was zuko i gotta say watching him run like he's trying to keep the stick up his ass from slipping has definitely been an interesting experience
I honestly forgot that they actually made a movie of avatar the last airbender
Repressed memories
There is no movie in Ba Sing Se
That's for the best honestly.
There is no movie in Ba Sing Sau
There is no movie in Ba Sine Se
I like how the Tank Boss literally just drives forwards, backs up, and then drives forwards again and that's all it does. Its like they turned a vehicle from a Lego game into a boss fight. XD
this is the perfect thing to watch when I get home from a long day of work
This is the first english YT channel I decided to watch (I’m Brazilian and always watched Brazilian YT channels). Your channel is legit one of the funniest I’ve ever watched, I’m always lmao while watching your videos
Wait... so in the game they can firebend out of their hands like normal...but in the "movie" they need a source of fire...my head hurts...
You know what's hilarious? The dialog in this game is better than the dialog in the movie. The Voice actors sound like they WANT to be reading their lines. Compared to the movie where everyone just sounds....bored lol.
When i first saw the movie in theaters i liked it at first, then i watched the show and it felt like drinking iroh's jasmine tea for the first time cleansing the soul.
@@annoyanceking how could a member of the avatar community say something so horrible we'll have to destroy that movie
@@annoyanceking You really shouldn't insult hot leaf juice like that, at least with hot leaf juice someone TRIED to make something good!
I absolutely hate every time they say "Aaavatar" and "Aaang". It not like it was some mystery how those words were meant to be pronounced. Or open to interpretation like a unique name from a book.
You mean to tell me that all this time Ang had the option to just press A to skip his airbending training? The show has lied to us all this time. Lol
Kev going into the avatar state was something to behold
all i get on saturday mornings are my deaf neighbors yelling at eatchother because they cant be bothered to go over and talk like normal people
*I thought I owned every avatar game and DVD possible I genuinely didn't even know this existed I'm baffled when I did a Google search it didn't even pull up like yo what?*
Just for personal interest, did you read the comics which play after the ending of the show? They are pretty interesting if you are a big avatar fan, e.g. it shows zuko looking for his mother
@@herold1949 yes other than turf wars for legend of Korra that just wasn't very interesting in my opinion
Kinda funny that the Northern Water Tribe is completely unaware of the Giant Bug Infestation they have underneath there City
Honestly the airbending in this just reminds me of the "im a little teapot short and spout" scene from the movie.
I- didn't know this existed... everytime he says "Ah-veh-tar" instead of "Av-ih-tar" i wanna pour bleach in my ears lol
Nothing better than doom scrolling with no idea what to watch and then
*Kevduit posted 5 minutes ago*
bro seeing the wii start screen of the game made me realize through vietnam flashback that I PLAYED THIS GAME AS A KID!!! WITHOUT HAVING EVER SEEN AVATAR!!!! i didn't watch avatar until i was like 18 dude. i need to sit down...
i was expecting a cartoon avatar, not the movie i was suddenly forced to remember existed!
2:08 ITS ABOUT DRIVE IT ABOUT POWER WE STAY HUNGRY WE DEVOUR
"Have you ever woken up bright and early on a Saturday morning..."
Stop right there, already no.
Shame that there has not been a good adaptation of the Avatar series into a game, the universe and lore is so interesting. It would be nice to see an RPG or action adventure adaptation.
"I'm killing this guy for you uncle Iroh!"
"Uncle Iroh, I've got a five hit combo."
4:27
Now you have to play the Spidewick Chronicles movie game
Every time I hear them say "Ah vatar" it's like a knife directly into the rage center of my brain
Thank you for showing the cutscenes. I really felt like I was the Avatar
*The Ahvater
I absolutely lost it at the "nunchuck-action" parts, love your content man! Been binging your videos recently, thanks so much for putting yourself through these games for our sake!
Iroh not beeing part of this mess is the one saving grace it has
He was though
I distinctly remember my aunt got my cousins and I this game because we liked the cartoon. It was a weird game.
I mean they did a great job at making it feel like the movie 😂
I didn’t even know this thing existed until now, boy am I glad for once to be living under a rock
I have heard so many bad things about the movie, it feels weird not knowing this even existed.
This game is so cursed that my internet stopped working on all other devices except the one I was watching this video on for the entire runtime.
Who are these “saboteurs” on zuko’s ship?
I also like how you called an entire group of random people avatars.
I played this game as a kid. I thought it was neat to air bend… now that I think about it I never made it past the first five minutes…
Edit: 2:40 its been less than three minutes and its already worse than I remember.
How do you manage to be less accurate than the ember island players?
as a kid i loved this... i remember nothing... but boy did i love it
The wind currents look like they're just picking aang up by his shirt collar, like how a mother cat picks up her kittens
The amazing part is that they mispronounced the word "Avatar" in both the game and the movie
The face cam had me laughing so hard I was literally crying! I had to pause the video and walk it off to catch my breath. Comedy gold! 😂
Should try Legend of Korra (tho it's kinda hard to get nowadays on PC due to being discontinued)
It was actually quite fun despite being simple, and had actual new animated scenes :3
999k subs I can’t wait to come back tomorrow and see 1,000,000 subscribers. Also early congratulations Kev u earned it all 1M subs.
All I could think about is how amazing an actual game based on the show would be for like current gen consoles. like think what you want about Hogwarts Legacy, but I think the game proved that an Avatar game could work out (bc of Legacy's magic system showing a multitude of spells or in this case bending moves is possible to have in a game)
