    I will repeat the common comment: Dr. Berg's videos have the almost weird habit of showing up at the exact time, at least, some of his followers need them. One hour ago, one of my relatives was mentioning the condition of his wife involving those nodules. Thanks a lot Dr. Berg.

      I have had 2 Fine Needle Aspirations and 2 biopsies. No cancer found. I am keeping my thyroid! My last thyroid scan showed one nodule had shrunk. We can beat this! Do not let them scare you into having surgery! It’s a real money maker for them and unless you have thyroid cancer, which is rare, you are really going to miss your thyroid!

      Sarah Love Yes, my daughter had a complete thyroidectomy at 19. Nodules were found and cancer. It really messed her up mentally not having a thyroid. The thyroid or lack thereof affects the mind causing depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. She’s ok now but honestly she’ll never be the same. I wish I’d have gotten a second opinion because the conventional medical community does not know everything. She has to take thyroid (Synthroid) daily for the rest of her life to survive.

    Hi Dr Berg, I wanted to thank you for your insight & information on this video. About a year ago, I needed a biopsy due to a ultrasound regarding a nodule on my neck. You recommended Super Selenium + Cod liver oil I am very glad to report, because I had a biopsy, an ultrasound this year was directed by my Dr. The results showed previously, my Rt lobe measured: 2.9x1.1x1.0 cm. New findings: 0.8x0.8x0.5cm. Decreased in size! & does not meet criteria for biopsy! Tku, Dr Berg! Still taking Super Selenium & Cod liver oil! 💗

      Me too in 2016...since then my nodules have shrunk. Surgeon wanted to take my thyroid out. I decided no and have been taking mg, selenium, vit e, and d. Thyroid levels normal now. So glad to see you too didn't react...my biopsy came back positive for cancer, but since they have shrunk I feel confident in my decision to keep my thyroid. I am due for another annual sonogram. It wasn’t discussed in this video if this supplement is for nodules that may be causing hyperthyroidism, as in my case. All the research I did discussed that selenium and cod liver oil are for nodules and hypothyroidism. Now I’m really confused. I also have toxic goiter, benign thyroid nodules which causes my hyperthyroidism. I just had my RAI treatment 2 days ago. Doctor recommended it because I developed an allergic reaction to Methimazole, so I got switched to PTU. That’s my only treatment left, if I develop another allergic reaction with PTU I have nowhere to go. Good thing I didn’t. So i’ve been taking PTU for years and just recently had another thyroid ultrasound. The nodule slightly increased in size after 2 years. So I decided to just have it removed. I hope I made the right decision.

I thought people get one or the other done, not both. You know PTU can cause bad liver damage at any time? I took it for 3-6 months started getting liver pains so I quit it and liver pain mostly stopped thankfully no damage showed in labs anyway. Other than that I’ve been taking methimazole the whole time. Doctors say it’s easier to keep steady thyroid hormone levels by ridding the nodules, by going from hyper to hypo, but many people here in comments are saying they have been worse after surgery, except maybe if it’s only half

    My primary doctor refuses to order the lab work I need. My blood shows thyroid levels are normal. How can that be when I have a goiter anyone would notice. There are many nodules as shown by an ultrasound. Now what? I was told that a needle biopsy is necessary ASAP. Is it cancer? I have a cancer history.

    • @savetimeless8460
      @savetimeless8460 5 років тому +4

      I've had the FNA biopsy before. It's not a fun test at all, but they're able to take samples of the nodules that way. The doctor uses ultrasound to guide them when they get the samples. You have to lie very still since there's a needle going in and out of your throat so if you get anxious or fidgety about needles you may want to ask what you can take ahead of time to relax yourself. I hope you get the answers you need. I know it's a scary feeling.

      Had it done myself. By the way I recommend a thyroid doctor - endocrinology, not primary doctor. It’s a specialty - I’ve had primaries act like they know everything, ended up hospitalized because of it. I think there is a very low incident of nodule cancer found as I recall. There are many cases of nodules found not so unusual. Good luck. My sister has an enlarged thyroid, but normal blood tests. My brother and I have Graves, hyperthyroidism. His was treated and never came back mine did.

In fact, they are so high in selenium, that they are toxic if you eat too many, only 2 or (3, if they're small)a day. @@danielledeems1285 It is possible to do keto on a budget. You can start with just you doing it instead of the whole family. The key is to just do the best you can within your means. Not everyone can afford organic, grass-fed beef and the like, including myself most of the time, so just get what's doable for you and start somewhere and make gradual changes you can maintain. It really is worth it. I had thyroid cancer and a total thyroidectomy in 2011, so I completely understand how unbearable it is, and also have had those doctors that just think it's all in our minds. I stopped looking to them for answers and started advocating for myself. Those doctors aren't looking to "cure" anyone, they just want to "manage" our illnesses so we have to keep coming back to them so they can get paid and write out more prescriptions.
