I was the interviewee at the 6:45 mark. Thanks for including my comments in this video. My family has lived in Portola since the early 2000s, and we love our trains. My family used to go frequently to the famous railroad museum in Portola where Big Boy made his day-long stop. We would ride the cabooses around the loop in the yard, and I even took part in the museum’s famous Drive-A-Locomotive program. For special events, they would also bring out large model train sets. So to experience that all again many years later (not to mention another a steam engine pulled the cabooses this time) brought back a lot of nostalgia and memories. The last time I remember a steam train making a big appearance was in 2009 when UP’s No. 844 visited Portola.
