- Join Kendall as he takes you to explore the Western Pacific Railroad Museum in Portola CA. This great museum is located along the Feather River Route. Along the way, we'll see the amazing collection of equipment from the Western Pacific as well as other western railroads. Some of which includes the Silver Plate dining car from the California Zephyr, Pullman Troop Sleeper Car from World War 2, a rotary snowplow from the Southern Pacific, the Union Pacific Business Car created for the President of UP, the SP Kodachrome and much more. We also get to ride the museum's caboose train and do a really fun cap ride. It was so fun to ride in the cupola! This is quite an adventure here on Railroad Adventures with Kendall. ALL ABOARD!!!
Portola railroad museum is one of my favorite places on earth. Great show. I’ll keep watching your shows…
It's a great museum. Thanks for watching!
Great job on the video Kendall! Cheers.
Thank you kindly!
That looks like a great place. We will have to get there soon.
It's a nice museum, but I like them all. 😂
Your railroad history videos are the best! Thanks again Kendall 🎉
Glad you like them!
All Aboard
Thanks for watching!
Nice vid! Some corrections though, WP 805A is the last WP CZ locomotive built, but not the last one for the CZ(there are some DRGW and CBQ CZ units preserved). Same for the WP 1500; it was the last switcher for WP, but not their last ordered power. Interesting that WPRM has one of the WP's last steam switchers, their first diesel switchers(also their first diesel -electric locomotive) and their last ordered switch engine.
Minor correction on my part: WP SW1500 number 1503( after the UP merged the WP, they temporarily kept the original numbers for these units after repainting).
Thank you for the corrected information. I need to pay better attention to my details when doing research. Thanks again!
