Survival Tip: when moving into a house in a rural area, be sure to keep pets inside for the first few weeks, as other predators will consider the animal an intruder until they realize the home is now inhabited. Survival Tip 2: If your inside, and the woods go silent, bring pets and children inside. This means a much larger predator is near. Silence is only calming when you are indoors.
Great tips! I want to note at times animals in the woods will not go quiet when there is a large predator. I live in Montana and the birds and other various small animals will get louder when a predator is near.
@@jackoh991 you have a good point but I would hope responsible adult gun owners would keep their guns put away from children. My husband and I have grown children and no grandchildren nor any small children around but we still keep our guns secured.
Jack Oh I grew up around guns and was taught etiquette, and that you don’t friggin touch them without permission. Additionally, you can keep a locked gun case in your room and hide the key if your kid is, I don’t know, a little shit who doesn’t listen.
Youre not alone ❤ btw hes going on tour and im so upset i have to miss it due to my illness as well. Hope youre still finding things to distract the pain and help you 💕
Actually thats a myth, when an apex predator shows up sure the land animals get quiet but the birds, crows literally shout in their own way to alert the land animals that there is an apex predator nearby.

@@bfreeman8786 So I was planted up in a tree stand with a rifle and a Flir scout because I hunt when it’s dark out in then morning but there’s some light that birds are about, so it just makes it easier to look for deer, while I was there about a good 35-45 mins of sitting there, that’s when everything went dead silent, and I started to have the back of my neck start to have the hairs rise up and I felt uneasy about everything at that point because I was alone and had no cell reception in a dense forest, then I started hearing branches break about 50-60 feet away from me, so I went to go look with my flir and it just would not turn on what’s so ever so I just sat there listening to this thing move and it sounded massive, I felt like it knew I was close by and was looking for me, so I stayed in the tree for another 40 mins till I no longer felt in danger and high tailed it through the woods for a good 3-4 miles to my truck, but while I was running it felt like something was off in the distance watching me. Other than that one time I never felt threatened ofc I live in Maryland where we do have black bears in a certain area but they normally don’t scare me at all so I shrug them off besides this time it felt like something else.
I've been through Palmyra. When i lived in the Bangor area, I used to work in Dexter, and had to pass through Palmyra often on the way back from Dexter. I can tell you that inland Maine is VERY different from coastal Maine. It's ALL very deep forest, and there's a constant, definite sense that you're being watched by something that HATES you and doesn't want you there. It's VERY creepy.
Yea my uncle lives up in palmyra, New England is just a creepy place in general with the history, the forest, etc. but palmyra especially gave me the creeps idk why. Something about the woods up there is different.

I remember some years ago I was walking home from work around 3am. The road I walked was surrounded by forest and not many lights. That night the forest went silent and I could have sworn I was being watched, so I hurried my pace and made it to a taco bell that a friend worked at. Thankfully they had a maintenance guy there so I ran up to there door and called out to him. He saw me run up and opened the door to let me in. Not even a second later a pack of wolves ran right up to the door. They had been following me for about 3-4 miles. A silent forest is not safe. My advice, get to shelter fast.

I live in Mathews VA and this here kinda' puts some trails to what I saw back in July/August 2014. I was 17, had two buddies with me and went for a walk up to the good ole 711 from a place we all stayed at that summer. Took a back road walk on Seaford road to get there and it's a long stretch of gravel to the main road, and it's pitch black thanks to the covering of trees, we all agreed early we felt something watching us and we didn't pay it much mind really. Halfway down we for whatever reason could hear chains drag occasionally and then they semi skidaddled and I just kept walking normal. As I caught up at the end of the road, I came into some light from the street post and I was maybe 25-30 foot into the light, we all got a feeling to turn and look back and there was a 7.5-8ft tall wolf/coyote that had mint green jewel like eyes standing up walking towards the light and then got down and lowered it's head slowly into the light and we all ran after that. It was the most random thing but it was very real

I heard from a investigator speak on TV that skin walkers are not just in Utah but spread all over the USA, kind of disappointing to me because I liked the deal with bigfoot getting competion of another nonhuman humanoid species racing about terrorizing people in the woods.
I'm not quite sure that that is true, but it'd be funny if I just got scared of forests only to find out it was some dressed up people or whatever you wanna call them. Halloween: Yeah I know what to be next year honey.
I grew up in the remote woods of Maine. I've been an outdoorsman since I could walk and have an intimate understanding of the wildlife. I'm an excellent tracker. Without going into much detail, can say that my family and I saw lights similar to those that you describe on a winter's night in 1983. A group of friends and I also saw one of these creatures on a lonely road to Quebec in Northern Maine back in 1988. I've always been sober and I don't have any mental illness. That said, the things that I have witnessed both in the woods and on the water along the coast in Maine would make a bald person's hair stand on end. I've always been an atheist, but what I have seen during my lifetime, especially in the remote areas of Maine have convinced me that there is far more happening than we understand.
Seeing this comment somehow reminded me of some zombie beaver movie I saw a long time ago it was dumb and wasn't scary at all but it was in the scary movies section of netflix
The wife refusing to go inside did it for me ..I've never asked questions when someone felt something was off and suggested we leave or go inside .....🤦🏾♀️
‘Better safe than sorry’ is always the better philosophy to follow. The fact that the story led off with that she refused to allow guns in the house despite living in a rural, borderline wilderness, area of Maine tells you she’s not that thoughtful about things.
@@QixTheDS I can’t imagine having a wife tell me that guns had to be kept in the barn! First of all, EVERY child should be taught about the safe handling of firearms as soon as they enter public school. As a society, we’ve gone completely off the reservation when it comes to this. Second, how secure can you really make your weapons in a barn? If the safe isn’t properly anchored into concrete with Hilti anchors, anyone can take it. For over 20 years, I’ve slept with a suppressed SMG next to my bed, and I’ve only had to use it once in anger. I travel nearly every week, and I have a special bag that conceals my MP5. If I’m flying, I only travel with a handgun, but I can’t imagine living like these folks without a gun ready at all times. Seems like lunacy to me. Can you imagine if they’d had firearms and killed an unidentified apex predator? That would be a world-changing event!
@ororogrey IKR… also the husband going out leaving the door unlocked to get to the barn 🤦🏻♂️. They could’ve just called the police while staying inside
This has honestly been my favorite Mr ballen story ever since I first heard it. It was also the first Mr Ballen story I’d ever heard. Please make more wildlife based stories. I love em.
Legend has it the wife had the like button in her purse and the creatures were just fans of the strange dark and mysterious delivered in story format, 3, 4 even 5 times every week.
I love the way he tells these stories, it doesnt sound like he's telling it after reading a horror story, it sounds like he is actually telling it as if someone had told this to him
So far this is the creepiest story I’ve heard you tell! I’m blind and enjoy all your stories but this one made my skin crawl! Thank you and keep up the great work always look forward to hearing your next story.
Interestingly I thought these would be great narratives, especially for people with optical disabilities. I'm very glad to see this post! ENJOY ALWAYS!!!
Only once in the woods did i experience that “dead calm” everything went instantly from fun and games to “OH SHIT!” everything, and i mean EVERYTHING went quiet! I could actually feel the silence.. we, also went quiet! waited, didn’t move, i could only hear my own heartbeat, a minute felt like hours! Then, as i looked up the stream we were beside, i saw it! It didn’t make a sound, it was HUGE! Gliding at about 20 feet, an eagle with a wingspan of at least 8 feet, its head moving back and fourth looking for prey. As it past over us, it flapped its wings to gain altitude and that flap had so much power in it, that i felt it on my chest! Like a soft punch on my sternum. It moved past us, and just as quickly as the silence fell upon the forrest, all the usual noises came alive again. The silence was gone, the unexplainable “DANGER” feeling was gone, and we just stood there in “awe” of what had just happened.
This is the first story I ever heard of his, I still go back and watch it all the time. I was 12 and it scared me so bad it still gives me chills sometimes, love Mr. BALLEN! Best story teller!!
The moral of this story would be don’t let you wife talk you into keeping your firearms in the barn instead of the house! Thanks for your service man and enjoy your channel.
I'm 1 hour north of Palmyra, ME and have a large piece of forested property. After the sun sets we do NOT go out on our trails because my family has had their own experiences.
I’m blown away the guy actually gave in to his wife and stashed all his guns in such an inaccessible place. Especially on a property like that. Glad they made it thru the night.
So true I hope she left totally stupid for being like that. After when it came Down to it those Guns were totally unaviliable that was 100 percent her fault for that
Ikr like why would he keep his guns somewhere where he had to go outside to get them That is just plain STUPID! I mean I get that you don’t want your kids to get to them or you don’t have the room but like really the barn
Need more horror movies that are like this where nobody gets hurt or anything directly interacts but it just has a building sense that there's something there that shouldn't be
Read The House on the Borderland by William Hope Hodgson. Or listen to the audio book. There's a chapter where unknown creatures from the surrounding woods lay siege on the main character's home for the entire night, sounds a lot like this incident.
Naaaah, man. I'm not so sure about that.... What if each time a negative thought entered your mind, you caused it to manifest in reality, but in another form. I don't watch horror, or stuff where people are creeping up and stabbing people. 😱 Obviously, it might not affect you in that way. But if affects me. Sometimes. If you want horror, watch the news. “You know those guns that might be needed to protect our isolated, helpless little family? Go ahead and keep them anywhere but in the house where we can get to them”
@@christiniakollar8397 That isolation is the very reason I wouldn’t feel safe unless I had firearms. When authority response times can take 10 minutes, I’d rather at least have the option to protect myself, my family, and my property. Exactly. Children that are raised by responsible gun owners are taught to be responsible themselves. Common sense and fear of an ass whopping would keep those kids from messing with their parents guns. It's typically the ones with dumbazz parents that do otherwise.
Same. I wish ballen had more cryptid stories, but I don’t think they get as many views as true crime, sadly. You know where I can find more videos like this,
Dogmen definitely exist, I'm native American and there's a legitimate reason why the elders always said don't go out after dark and never whistle after dark or else you will call the darkest creatures in the night directly to you
I’ve noticed that when I’ve visited relatives in rural areas they are super insistent on being in before night. I’m used to dealing with urban danger at night and up in the foothills outside the city, one can explore at night. However I learned that exploring the woods at night isn’t a good idea. Especially when all the noises of the woods stop and a feeling of dread comes. One great uncle told me, The woods are a lot more dangerous than you know, there are things out there that you don’t want to run into.
They really do. I too have Native heritage. I have had many different types of experiences because we were raised with an openness that did not shut down reality.
My goodness. When you were talking about the man sneaking out to his truck and looking at the creatures, without even realizing it I had put my hand up to my mouth in horror. Only a gifted storyteller could instill that kind of reaction in me. Keep it up! I'm far behind in your stories but I'll catch up eventually, and will be forced to wait with baited breath for your next upload. For now, I'm hungrily binging!
Always listen to your gut. If something deep down says "I'm in danger" than you're picking up on something without realizing it. It's a survival thing that should really be listened to more. There's a great book about it, The Gift of Fear by Gavin De Becker. Highly recommend
Totally agree. A long story short... I was hit with sudden paranoia, right down to the very core of my bones. Like physical hitting a brick wall. There was a big fight between me and my boyfriend because I totally refused to get on our favorite amusement park ride, which a few minutes before I was excited to go on it. My BF went and bought some tickets and it was the fist ride we were going to get on. Going towards the ride I got so scared, so scared that I even refused to get on any other rides. My bf was angry because he wasted money on the tickets and so we left. The next morning my bf came knocking on my door and handed me a newspaper. In the newspaper there was an article where one of the cages from this ride broke off and killed the 2 young boys that were inside. My Bf thanked me for probably saving our lives and said he was sorry for the way he treated me. That from now on if I ever started acting strange again he wouldn't get upset but would follow my lead. That paranoia attack was so sever that even today I can't even go near any amusement park rides.
@@Lyralope I haven't had an amusement park Final Destination death cheat, but I have gone off the road at 30 to 40 mph and landed in a giant hole in slow motion with no damage to people or vehicle and within 5 minutes a truck with winch drove over and pulled us out. We were within about a mile of the Sheriff's office, too. Strange stuff does happen, and yes- trust your instincts especially when they really kick in- that's what they are for!

I live in Tennessee. Years ago I worked at a factory called unipress... I had to be at work at 430 am for quite a few months. I was living with my grandparents at the time which was way out in b.f.e. . But one morning I got up for work, headed out a little after 3am. It was about an hr drive. I drove a dodge neon at the time... about a half mile from my grandparents house you go down a hill... at the bottom of the hill where it leveled out a wolf crossed the road right in front of me making me slam my brakes because I almost hit it.... but we dont have wolves in Tennessee, only coyotes, and they are small. This things head was taller than my car, and its body length was so long he crossed the road in a single stride, with his ears straight up, looking directly at me... like a dog circling prey... I immediately stopped as I passed and turned around to shine my headlights in the field it ran into and didn't see it again. But I will never forget that. I've never seen anything like it. It looked like a giant wolf, the size of a grizzely bear
I live in Tennessee and I used to live in a neighborhood in a town Maryville and in my back yard there were coyotes my dad woke me up and took me to my living room and said listen. And I heard them yipping and howling. And I was scared crapless. I did think it was cool but I would not like to see them in person. Also I think the creature you saw was a hellhound. Same goes for the video.
I have always thought that stories like the vid and the one your telling interesting. Something with a bear happened to my granny when she was a child. One time a bear walked on her front porch and her mom told her and her siblings to stay silent then she locked the door. I don't remember much of the story she told me but that is all I remember. Also the creature your talking about, did it growl or make any noise? If so what did it sound like. I have a few questions about it. Also one more thing, I have always to expirece something like that just to see what type of creature would show up and it's behavior. Also the day of the eclipse 3 years ago my cousin and mammow had went up to the smokies and said when it hit the animals were off in behavior. Howling and growling and other words activities.
@@davejeff4347 no it made no sounds, which I had the windows up, radio on. While looking my direction with its ears straight up . . Had a long fluffy tail... its head was taller than my car. Honestly if I was standing up , it looked like its head would be about even with mine. I'm 6ft tall.... its body had to be 7 to 8 ft long.... Exactly four days later, “I can hear noises downstairs, go and see what it is, take something with you just in case”. Me, “Like a baseball bat?” My wife, “Good idea there’s one in the cupboard downstairs”.
My half acre property has a 5 ft fence all the way around the property. A week ago someone was on our property --the hood on car was jarred so now we keep the outside lights on at night and i (30 something mother) keep a alloy baseball bat next to me as I sleep. Oh hell yes its on.
I think when those creatures showed lights in the woods, and this family shouted our property, they actually left because they understood the idea of territory, but when the daughter and his boyfriend with the dogs, went to that cave which was the creatures territory, they got offended as it was their territory. If they had guns, and had they used it, it was not scare time from the creatures, it was game time. That home was not a problem to break in. I m pretty sure
lol yea y'all probably right! lol but next time you wife makes you keep all your guns outside in the barn say hell naw!! and make your wife watch the episode!! lol
Especially when the couple saw 5 creatures at the field but after they came to the yard, they could only see 3..... Pack predators are known to circle their prey while one or more distracts the prey. Sidenote: american door knobs are supreme with these kinds of events, paws are not great for rotating knobs. European "press down and open sesame" handles don't require much intelligence or trial to open. Just hope you had time to lock the door after you.
This was one of mine too. Wasn't there something at the end of that episode that spoke of other people in the area having similar experiences around that time? I'm gonna have to go re -watch it.
I absolutely love your stories and the way you deliver them. They bring suspense all the way til the end. Thank you so much for these! You are THE ONLY reason I have UA-cam 💯
Exactly, I feel like every bad thing that happened is because of the wife, no guns in the house, told the sheriff there were creatures outside, tried to fight the husband when he said let’s go inside it’s not safe. Also, the “kids” were not fucking kids, the son is obviously old enough to be able to live off on his own, and the daughter was 17 when they moved there.
I think this is my fav Mr ballin I love the creepy creatures and goul stories he started with! Now it's more true crime than paranormal I miss these early days! A lot!!!! He's changes things and I miss the creepy things like this and 411 and the unexplained!!!!!!!!

He is a great story telller, i was trying to get him to tell my story but i dont know if he saw it in the subreddit. It was just me in my house home alone, and im just a teenager. Its 3 am, I’ve been playing videogames and i live in pretty dense forest. My parents are away at work. While im playing the game i hear scratching and knocking on the window, then when i look at it i dont see anything. I know its not long enough to be in a video, but still it was like this video.
That's why it can't be wolves, because wolves don't stand up. Bears,on the other hand, usually don't travel or hubt in groups unless it is a mother with a couple juveniles
@@cathleenc6943 I don't believe that anyone thinks it's a straight up wolf. More along the lines of dogman or werewolves. But not like ones in the movies
They are wolf's not just wolf's werewolf's and they are real I know it I'm half human half werewolf you might not believe me but I am there are legends of them go see if your a wolf on you tube
Just a theory, perhaps when they first found the "mound" in the forest, the creatures felt threatened. After that, the creatures came out to see what the threat was, and decided to go after the family in a territorial way.
No I think it was cause remember when the daughter and her boyfriend took the dogs for a walk and found the den and heard growling sounds well that was day time and they were safe.. I think they never had an issue with the creatures before cause they didnt know about the dogs.. but finding the den and the creatures knew the dogs existed and wanted to eat them not the people.. so that's when they came for them at night and left in the morning before the sun completely rose. Cause werewolves cant be out during the day only night time. Just surprised they never broke the glass of the window.. but I think theres some type of rule.. like how vampires cant come in unless you invite them in to your home same with werewolves they cant come into ppl homes.. it's off limits to them but they wanted those dogs for sure !
This. If this story is true... then it isn't a matter of them not being able to get into the house. It is a matter of them disturbing the home of these people like their home was disturbed. "You screwed with us while we were trying to sleep, now it is your turn"
This story is almost nostalgic, it reminds me of going to my grandmothers house when I was younger. There was a pretty big forest there that we made up a dozen of stories about lol
You're absolutely right. I live around a huge forest, and I've been an outdoorsman all my life. I've seen things I cannot explain. Heard things I can't account for. People that assume that we know every creature, in our woods, are naive.
As someone currently living north of Palmyra I refuse to fuck with Maine woods 🤣 like I walk at night and shit but I'm not going into the forest hell nah
@@kmaterne Nothing is so terrifying or dangerous as a crazy human, though. Still, something most people forget is that given enough time, anything that can happen will happen. Now, I'm not referring to monsters existing or something, or even whether or not we know all the big species in the woods. I'm referring to strange things happening or being heard. With all the animals and trees in a forest, it won't be all that strange for something weird to happen through sheer chance. I don't think there's anything like giant wolves or bipedal monsters and so on. After all, the wilds of America and other countries in general have been explored by people for a very long time by an incredibly large number of people. At the very least, if things are out there, they don't have an interest in attacking us as only the clearly fake stories have such things whereas the reports by campers and hikers and stuff is about hearing or seeing something while traveling or around their camp but ultimately not being bothered.

I'm really fascinated by the similarities between this case and another one you've covered, which involved that family who moved into the creepy house on a farm where they experience sightings of huge wolf like creatures and the house ended up getting bought by a millionaire who was fascinated by the paranormal and had a whole team of scientists to look into it
@@Laur24 that's why we have proof? And the occurrences only happen when Terry is there? Even when he sold this place that caused him so much stress he stayed on to work there. Dunno all signs point to Terry being a liar, and isn't it funny how none of these scientists own cameras?

I can easily imagine sitting down and watching this story as a movie. You have your hopeful start with moving in to a new house, the ominous buildup with the dogs/wolf den, the hook with the husband noticing the dead silence just before the attack, a nice dramatic pause before shit hits the fan, the scramble for survival, the dilemma of offense vs securing the family's escape, trying to get to safety with the truck, the escalation of danger from the wolves getting more aggressive trying to gain entry, desperately calling for help which is ignored, the tense atmosphere as the wolves try the second floor just outside of where the family is hiding, separated only by the most delicate of cloth, ending with the light of dawn, and the horrifying discovery of the huge size of these animals. Doesn't even need any supernatural stuff really. Maybe a dose of CGI for deliberate uncanny valley vibes, like a highly animated wolf clawing its way into the door.
I'd go full werewolf mode, but only HINT at the monsters or show parts of their bodies. A clawed hand, a pair of red eyes reflecting light from a candle or torch, a silhouette in moonlight that you can barely see, that sorta stuff.
The guy was also annoying wanting his guns so bad wolfs don’t have thumbs and can’t open doors they were already safe when they first closed the door but the old disabled buffoon just had to be a hero and go out there
Speaking of that gut feeling, I can certainly relate. I was hunting in the Adirondack mountains in upstate NY a few years back when I had an interesting event occur. Myself, my uncle and a few friends were all camping on the side of dirt road that snaked up through the mountains near the Hudson River gorge. About 4 miles from any paved road or house. This was my first time there and the Adirondacks are huge expanse of wilderness so knowing that I don’t know the area, I purposely woke up the first morning that we were there a bit late and I grabbed my bow and gear and headed down the road and up the side of the mountain to a spot that I though looked good. There was no walking trail or anything like that, it was just an area where the terrain caught my eye as interesting. Well as soon as I left the road I didn’t feel right. Now I’ve been avidly hunting for 20 years so I’ve experienced my share of anxiety while being out in the woods. I think part of it is normal, your brain is just letting you know that you are in a potentially dangerous situation so be aware of what is going on. But as I made my way up the mountain the feeling was different. I got to a spot about 500 yards from the road where the side of the hill actually leveled off into a swampy sort of flat area, really neat spot considering I had just been trekking up a hill side. But as I got to the edge of that swamp the typical semi-anxious feeling turned into almost dread. Like there was something extremely wrong and my life was in danger but I didn’t know what was wrong. I immediately stopped and found a large tree to kind of lean against to have something solid near me. The hair was up on the back of my neck and I was on hyper alert. I do remember it getting totally silent as I stood there. No birds, squirrels, bugs, nothing was making any noise so that was certainly adding to the weirdness. Especially seeing as it was around the 1st week of October and the woods are usually plenty active around that time of year. So as I’m leaning against a large tree and looking into this swamp, battling my mind and trying to decide if I’m going to stay and get over this seemingly irrational sense of fear or just head back to camp, I hear this massive tree about 50-100 yards in front of me crack and slam the ground. It was a clear day, no wind, hadn’t rained recently so nothing that would indicate that trees would be falling. When I heard that I decided that I had enough and I’m going to head back. So I got my feet moving again and made my way back down the mountain still totally freaked out which was pissing me off because I had no idea why. As I headed down the hill, that dread started to ease up and when I got back onto the road I felt okay again. So I walked back up the road and back to camp and sort of shrugged the whole thing off as my mind playing tricks on me. The strangest part of it all was later that day, I drove down the road past the exact spot where I headed up the mountain side and there was a pine tree that was probably 4-6 inches around that had been snapped about 5 foot off of the ground and the top was facing the road. This was absolutely not there when I walked in that morning. I know this because the newly broken pine tree was about 2 feet to left of a small piece of orange flagging tape that tied to a branch to let everyone in camp know where I went in. I asked everyone at camp if they had gone into that spot later that evening and they all said no and none of them were the type it mess around like that. Needless to say that I did not go back into that area and didn’t feel right until we left a couple of days later. It was one of those experiences in my 20 years of hunting that is just as vivid today as it was 3 years ago. Trust your instincts. We haven’t always lived in houses and in civilization and those instincts may save your life without you even knowing it.
I’ve heard Sasquatch break big trees sometimes for whatever reason. In any case big trees don’t just randomly break... I heard a huge branch snap when I was doing a skywatch at a forest... I said to some friends let’s go and check it out but no one would...and I wasn’t going alone...
@@Nothing-ru4ft Pretty easily, to be honest. It's the same reason why people can look pictures taken from the sky that show entirely normal land formations, and instead interpret them as buildings/structures that don't exist and create conspiracies about what they must be. The human mind instinctively looks for familiar patterns and shapes, and can often succeed in either convincing us that we've seen things that aren't there or severely exaggerating their features. In the case of fear and anxiety, it's not terribly unusual for us to exaggerate the characteristics of something that we find threatening. Likely a leftover survival mechanism from a long time ago, when it was probably safer for Ug and Throg to interpret a predator as bigger than it is and run instead of underestimating it and trying to fight. Throw in low visibility due to limited light sources, and it's easy to mistake things around the predator (or even the predator's own shadow) as an actual part of said predator, thus making it appear far more massive in our mind's eye. There's a good reason why anecdotal evidence - personal experiences, such as eyewitness accounts - is generally considered the weakest form of evidence. The human mind is an incredible thing, but it's also *very* flawed and easily capable of tripping itself up. After all, we're talking about the same brains that can make us do ridiculous shit like frantically turn a room inside out to find "lost" car keys that we're literally holding the whole time.

Great tips! I don’t use these a lot!.

If animals are dead silent and refuse to go somewhere TURN AROUND

Aren't the wendigos as well in native america culture

Your nervous system fight or flight reaction also affects this. Your ability to sense danger and give a response/reaction.
@@Lyralope I haven't had an amusement park Final Destination death cheat, but I have gone off the road at 30 to 40 mph and landed in a giant hole in slow motion with no damage to people or vehicle and within 5 minutes a truck with winch drove over and pulled us out.

While looking my direction with its ears straight up . . Had a long fluffy tail... its head was taller than my car. Honestly if I was standing up , it looked like its head would be about even with mine. I'm 6ft tall.... its body had to be 7 to 8 ft long.... I've seen coyotes but this was more of a wolf looking, German shepherd type of look but just gigantic. I cant explain it. I've never seen anything like it , before or since then.
Sounds like Dog men that are a species in themselves. Many sightings coming up around the world over the last few decades.

Reminds me of Dog Soldiers. Great movie.
I'd go full werewolf mode, but only HINT at the monsters or show parts of their bodies. A clawed hand, a pair of red eyes reflecting light from a candle or torch, a silhouette in moonlight that you can barely see, that sorta stuff.
@@bonefetcherbrimley7740 If I remember correctly you don't see the werewolves in Dog Soldiers at first, just pieces and glimpses.
You can watch a re-enactment of this true story told by the actual family on "Paranormal Witness" Season 3 Episode 9 "Wolf Pack"
@@aceofvegas9846 That's what I was going to recommend, but I couldn't remember if it was "Paranormal Witness" or "The Haunted".
Shelly has the worst survival instincts. She is a menace to her family and herself.
This. Lock the firearms away when you live in the middle of nowhere? Foolish
But they have an axe inside to cut wood? Wth🤣🤣
The guy was also annoying wanting his guns so bad wolfs don’t have thumbs and can’t open doors they were already safe when they first closed the door but the old disabled buffoon just had to be a hero and go out there
I would have made Shelly go out and get the guns
@@bigtexas517 if you are relating to this comment, thats not the point, else, good point, why?
458 Mag should do the trick.
@@simonvance8054 yeah a sasquatch is the most resonable explanation here
Thats was quite a wild experience
I grew up in Sullivan county NY and after growing up hunting and camping in them mountains. There are weird creatures out there.
Why has nobody made a solid movie of this? Mr. Ballen as writer, and possibly director
Shelley sounds like one of those horror movie characters that survives only because the plot demands it.
@Ken Fullman how do you explain them seeing 8 foot tall creatures
@Ken Fullman explain scratch marks?
@@VenathTehN3RD your response could have been smaller
Obviously puts her ego above her safety.
Seems like a territorial standoff. They stumbled outside of their home/den all casual and uninvited, and so the Dogmen returned the favor by paying them an unannounced home visit.
Werewolves
Well the thing is dogmen are like bipedal wolves werewolves change from human to wolf so this would be a dogma
LOL your comment killed me i really needed that laugh I was petrified by this story
This is what happens:When your werewolf nabours try to welcome the new neighbors
And the werewolf mom baked a milk tart and everything...
