TANKING SHOTS to get a NUKE - E-100 and Maus in War Thunder

- The E-100 in War Thunder is a German Heavy Tank that is only available through winning a Tournament or Purchasing one through the Gaijin Marketplace.
As such the E-100 is incredibly rare! It's one of the rarest Tanks in War Thunder, so... we're going to take it out and deliberately get shot at to grind out the Battle Pass!
In this video, I take both the E-100 and the Maus into Ground Battles in War Thunder to grind out the Adamant Achievement in order to get to the next stage. The E-100 repair cost is pretty significant along with the Maus so this might be a little bit sore!
That's if, of course... I didn't pull of a Nuke in the E-100! :)

two of the rarest tanks in the game got into the same match, 2:40 a AMX-50 Surblindé is seen in the kill feed while oddbawz is using the E-100

Well so to get it you must get shot once then you need to get shot again and once you do that you'll need to get shot again. Then you'll need to get shot again then you'll need to get shot again and after that you must get shot again.THEN you'll need to get shot again and after that you'll need to get shot once more then you'll need to get shot another time. And AFTER ALL OF THAT you'll need to get shot again. I think I explained it better.

Bawz, the 12.8/8.8 shell the Maus and E-100 get is actually a weird APDS round wherein it's a 88mm shell, with a sabot for firing from 128mm guns. Pretty nasty, and might be worth a video as well

Ehh, it's just worse than the normal APCBC shell. You lose angled performance (shell diameter matters alot in these cases) and tons of explosive filler. Only thing it's good for is long-range sniping.

It called the APHEDS which is Armor piercing High explosive Discarding Sabo and it is the only ammo in game to be armor piercing high explosive and discarding sabo at the same time

To be fair if the rooikat mk1d goes up the type 16 definitely should as well, that thing is insane
The rooikat’s 76 does 0 post pen damage, it’s one of the most painful tanks to use in the game, plus the long reload, lack of armour, and poor turning ability.
I really wish that the E100 was still available, I have a soft spot for heavy tanks

The worst examples are the shermans. The m4a2 76 is at the same br as the panther D. Its absolutely bogus
@@caralho5237 5.3 is a fine BR for the M4A2. Compare that to the M4A3 76 which is just gets a better suspension and slightly better mobility but sits at 5.7.
Let’s not even talk about the M26 which is worse than the panther in every way but still at 6.3 or the Jumbo 76 at that same br
At least there’s absolute beasts and great lineups around those BR’s to pay up for it. The 5.3-5.7 lineups are pretty good, and the T26E5 and the T34 are insanely good, I got at least 3 nukes playing 6.7 america

Edit: yep can be done low tier with Churchill, jumbo, t14 easy only requiring five hits not ten.

anyone else think the e-100 should get its "real" turret. the Maus's turret is too heavy for the e-100 hull, the proposed design in its blueprints should be added to the game as it would make the vehicle more unique. with the 75mm above the 128 instead of beside it would be different to the maus's style and its propesed turret is probs more effective. they could base an entire event around it, though hopefully not an easy one where a lot of players can get it.
The last macht was so epic!
I used the Churchill and the Crocodile. Sucks you can't get more than 1 Adamant per battle. Wish it was 1 per tank. It was also a poor choice from Gaijin not to add an activity requirement for the challenge since you can just go in with a Churchill out in the open, get shot by everybody, get adamant and then just leave the battle.

actually the E100 came before the Maus and the Maus is a smaller E100 because the E100 was too heavy for the engine to handle.
Luckily MG rounds count. So getting sprayed by every American tank and CAS should get the award quickly.

@@magnum6763 best armor is no armor, if you overpen and the fuze on the shell doesn't activate it might as well have been solid shot. Though I think a 128mm is a rather traumatic event if it explodes or not..
an other tank you could use for this is the 3 inch gun carrier in the british line. tho it hase some flaws

The strangest thing I used to manage a few times when I played Warthunder, was getting adamant a few times while in my m18
Yeah its quite easy when you play low tier, when u start u get adamant almost every 2 battles or so
i took a nap and when i came back i saw a mouse driving it self i ran to my pc to film it then i relized it was your video
All you gotta do is someone to riochet you whilst there’s an artillery strike on you and you get adamant
I actually did the adamant in the Object 268, that thing is a beast!

Now if only I could get an actual 7.7-8.0 match with the Maus… Not even a downtier, just my own BR. I genuinely don’t remember the last time I used the Maus in anything other than 8.7; it’s just painful.

I've dropped 1000lb bombs on each side of a maus simultaneously and flown away with "hit"

I managed to get most of my adamant awards with the TAM 2IP, people in the M163 and other spaa would shoot me frontally and not pen and each round would count towards adamant XD

The biggest enemy is your team they do so much problems considering that you do the most work in a battle

t28 at 6.3 you can sit accross the map and survive all rounds since most t28 goes against 5.7 germany
T28s are like a snack for me, I send them to a space program

Usually when i`m not getting one shot by everyone on the enemy side I get adamant when I'm battling to get a capture point back

Man...I dont even play Germany, but if I had the opportunity id play the hell out of the E-100
The unfortunate thing is, the E-100 being faster is very, very minor, because while the E-100 happens to have less weight, the power-to-weight ratio is the exact same due to weaker engine on the E-100. Not to mention that the E-100 loses the reverse gearbox, meaning it can retreat slower.
Don't have the maus spaded but the E-100 feels quite fast.
I got adamant multiple times while playing Bosvark xD it is so hard to kill if enemy is not firing HE shells sometimes (until they finally have enough and shoot MGs xD). One time my team struggled with T26E1 I just drove behind his back and blasted his ass setting him on fire. It is so funny vehicle with it size.
I wish I was joking, but there was a time where I was playing the Tiger E, I barely have 100 hours in WAR THUNDER atm and I got an adamant medal for something. Still not sure if that's impressive or not, but it happened.
Yo Oddbawz. You should talk about the economy changes. They're terrible (as usual) but, this time I suggest rallying the troops to actively protest this garbage. Do not buy premium vehicles. Do not buy premium time. Go free to play for six months or longer and we can force them to make the changes we want happen.

Best tank for getting adamant is probably Churchill VII in a full downtier.
The first battle the crew was completely fine only the tracks and barrel got destroyed

Fun fact the E-100 in WT us actually the E-100 Tiger because a real E-100 wouldn't have used the Maus turret
