Which indeed is a shame, particularly when people who were highlighted in Al Jazeera's earlier documentary on Israeli lobbying in both the Labour and Conservative parties had the audacity to claim to be and were treated as victims of anti-Semitism by Panorama literally a few years later.

I also found him to be severely lacking in the "leadership" department. He could lead by example, but couldn't rally support/resources or sell his ideas properly.
It's an age old addage. Those who'd be best at leading are rarely good leaders. Those who're good at leading shouldn't be allowed to [as they're full of s**t).

Cambridge Analytica's action should have warned the people that millions flooded in, to make Brexit happen. Thus people from the Labour may have been bought, let alone manipulated all to stop Corbyn and have the Tories win the country, read let the bankers own it. And now it's very clear who wins and who loses because of Brexit. Follow the money.

It disgusts me that this will probably never be properly addressed, just gradually fade away as Corbyn won't be allowed back in ever again. But much like the 2008 credit crunch I fear the background memory will stick to the labour left for a long while yet. "Oh but weren't they really anti-Semitic." "You're a f..ing racist."
It looked such a set up.
Why did people in the party undermine Corbyn's election campaign? Starmer went along with it and chose sacrificial lambs for his sham PR claim that the party had been cleansed of anti semitism. Luckily things are fast changing on the media front. I just follow select few leftist orgs/media & individual journalists who do good work. We finally have an alternative to the ruling class' corporate media. But we still have a long way to go! 😕
Next time a Corbyn or Sanders might make it through. 🥺 But I'd choose revolution as a first choice! ✊ I'm planning on reading Lenin's "Reform & Revolution", I'm sure he's addressed this concern in a beautiful way, already! 😂

It's an annoying quandary. Such a public service is vital to a society, however it gives the government too much influence, typically leading to it becoming a propoganda tool for the government of the time.
Unfortunately, it also tends to be pulled "right" more than "left" because of the external forces at play, so it becomes somewhat "balanced" with a left-wing government, but leans right when they're in government.
However, there's no better way of funding such content. Small indie's can't gather sufficient funding to do nearly as good of a job and they end up being influenced by their audience (who fund them), leading to ever more pigeon-holed perspectives.
Advertiser funded ... doesn't need explaining the issues.
Large, subscriber services end up as corporations, thus, see above.
