      @Yuri Bezmenov찾아보세요 부탁입니다 SATs/ACTs aren't a great way to test children on their abilities. In fact, SATs/ACTs dont really serve a purpose.
      And children have always come home from school learning about social interactions because English classes literally teach you about the time period a piece of literature was written and how it contrasts in today's society. History class teaches you about not just wars but also the union strikes and how it affected the laws on meat production and processing.
      Math teaches you to conceptualize the value of the items, to know the interest rates on loans.
      You just think that all school subjects should be taught in a vacuum when that has literally never been the case at all

      Exactly! Schools need teachers who care about their school and students. I'm glad at the time I went to school over 30 years ago, teachers were qualified, cared about their students and education was a priority. What's happening now to education, protocols and teachers are a disservice. If students and teachers are not happy with the current system, there is no progress. It's failing across this country in record numbers and not keeping people safe is not high on some people's agenda. SMDFH!

I love the point this guy was making and think this school board sucks You'll see this no matter where you are and how progressive it is. I am not defending the school board, but parliamentary procedure is considered sacred, like a sort of rule of law. I see pros and cons to it. Still most people don't know parliamentary procedure which is common in political parties and school boards, so I hope I informed you. You can dislike it fine by me, but I do want to point it out. Because a lot of people misinterpret following parliamentary procedure as lack of care. While this school board definitely didn't, I do feel it's unfair to mischaracterize the issue. It's considered a political rule of law that keeps order and allows politics to function. So while this school board is terrible, I work in politics and want to point out the truth of the situation. Everything they did besides that, including ignoring his point and complaints, were terrible.
      But that timing thing while showing how they didn't care by not saying something positive with it, isn't awful by itself. Something like healthcare 3.0, where the clinicians and department heads actually make the decisions. A place where administrators always take a backseat, where their sole focus is to support their staff, keep the lights on, pay the bills. A board of directors would be a check and balance body, to make sure that the clinicians and department heads were staying within the guidelines of their duties and responsibilities. Additionally the board of directors being prominent members of society, would help raise money, advertise, and support the business. Each board member would be required to volunteer a certain amount of time within the organization in different departments in different capacities throughout the year.

    It's in moments like these where I start to see eye-to-eye with anarchists. The power that board members have over people who actually work in education is an unjust hierarchy. A horizontal leadership strategy would better allow the concerns of teachers and other school workers to be remedied with necessary action

    • @rosejuliette9180
      @rosejuliette9180 3 роки тому +12

      Anarchism isn't always an end goal. Often it is simply a tool to combat fascism. When people are unable to be heard through legitimate means they are pushed towards working extra-judicially. The hard part is gaging the lines when they have not been decided for you. What is an ethical amount of disruption and what is a justified cause to invoke that disruption. I wouldn't call myself an anarchist but I have had to perform acts of anarchy when the law prevented me from acting ethically. That can be something as small as protesting beyond an allotted zone or protecting migrants from ICE. When a law is unjust should you follow the law or aim for justice. Anarchy is a part of every cultural revolution. Anarchy was tearing down segregation when the law was in effect. Anarchy was the sit ins and marches for LGBT rights. Anarchy is a necessary part of progress when stagnation becomes law.
