You talking about your dad makes me think of the Roadkill episode when you and Freiburger went to visit your parents at their shop.

"My dad was gangster" is probably one of my favorite lines you've ever uttered on UA-cam.

**IM READY FOR MORE VIDEOS ON THE CADDY**

Looking great Mike! Quick note regarding band clamps and a lesson learned after working military aircraft for many years. Do an initial torque on the clamp, then rap it a few times with a rubber mallet to better seat the clamp, and retorque.

Foam ear plugs might stop up the bolt holes in the purge flange also.

I recommend putting some heat reflective material on the engine side of the firewall since that exhaust pipe is so close. I used some just above my headers on my the chevelle and it made a very noticeable difference.

I sure love this show. Thanks for doing it. My dad had a Grand Prix, too, when I was a kid. I used to go to Irwindale with him. It was fun. He had a 63 Impala too. 327 four-speed trans.

I can’t wait to see how much power that exhaust tip kills.

Can’t wait to see that caddy finished to be honest, it’s one of my favorites you have. You’ve got some cool stuff, but I’m partial to my big cruisers.

8 tracks came out late sisties, cassette were mid-late 70's, reel to reel were early 60's and FM radio was early 70's. I used the cover from a book of matches to shim the 8 track, i had a lear jet with jenson 6 by 9's rockin physical graffiti and 15 other albums" kiped" from colombia house, Lol in my 65 el camino 350 sbc 3;73 gears and stick 3 speed out of a corvette, 186 heads with a 350 horse 151 cam.

Likely driver of the photo is Chip Hanauer, who was the most famous of all the Bud drivers. I met him quite a few times when he raced the Columbia Cup in Kennewick Washington. Great Photo!!

If that is a poly locknut on the upper control arm heim joint , it may melt being so close to the header. Reverse it (nut to the rear).

Ok Mike, a little history for you. Muntz tape decks hit the aftermarket in the early 60's in SoCal. They were 4 track and the kids loved them. The OEMs seeing a demand started installing tape decks from the factory in the latter part of the 60's and those were 8 track. With the OEMs using 8 track that rang the death knell of 4 track and the 8 track ruled until cassettes came along. Yes, FM existed in the 60's but the vast majority of radio stations were low power local stations and AM was cheaper and worked fine over, short range, local broadcasts. It wasn't until national advertising became a thing that longer range FM broadcasting took over and killed the majority of small local radio stations. Side note; you may have noticed that early songs were very short. Two to three minutes at the most. That was because local radio stations had to depend on local advertisers. They couldn't afford big buck advertising costs so the station had to have a ton of them to pay the bills. That meant lots of ads per hour and a need for short songs.
