I enjoyed the statement “you’re either good at it, or you’re not”. I’m well known for a green thumb but there are certain plants that just don’t want me tending them even if I provide all the recommended conditions, and others which I can bend the care rules and they thrive anyway.
I've been watching for years...and I just flashed-back to when you started your channel...and I'm so proud of you :) You have a large beautiful shop, and a wonderful channel. I'm so proud of you and excited to witness your journey continue
I just got a Florida Ghost in a trade and I cannot believe how beautiful it is. I've wanted a queen anth for two years now and that's mostly due to you! Your queen anth that you used to show that has almost totally rounded off lobes is the one I fell in love with. Now I'm just waiting to find the perfect one for my collection. 🥰
I found the Queen Anthurium to be very easy to keep, as long as you're watering it with RO/demineralized water and give it 65-70% humidity... had three in my cabinet and all of them were perfect. But grew fast and huge, so I had to take all 3 of them out (because the leaves were getting way too big) into my 50% humidity living room and boom, all of them started to crisp up and just don't look that nice anymore, aswell as also not being able to open new leaves without them getting damaged.
Did you acclimate slowly? Or was did you bring them out of the cabinet and make them deal with it? I've got a nice new leaf from an import and I'm wanting to take mine out of the tank to actually appreciate it and see if it'll acclimatise. But worried about what you described :/
I've been binge-watching your videos over and over the last couple days - I've seen a couple videos over the past months, but somehow lost track of the channel... Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for what you're doing. You are being transparent (e.g. the tissue culture video and why you aren't sharing the recipes - of course it's business, but I don't think that many content creators would have boldly "admitted" to it), you are bold and you speak your mind, even if it may be an unpopular opinion. Even if you say "this plant is meh because..", you don't say "don't get this plant", you say "get it if you want, but keep these things in mind". Honestly, I don't understand where the hate is coming from, not at all. I really enjoy that you speak your mind but let others have their opinion. You're always fair in what you say. Also seeing how successful the shop has become, I think you're doing things right. I also don't think you're annoying at all with the way you're often apologizing (as you mentioned you're sorry if it annoys people), as I honestly have the same "issue", haha. Guess it really is that programmer mindset, I don't know. Anyway, I hope you read this and continue with your awesome work! PS: The braided hair looks cute! :)
I’m so glad you still make videos! So many I’ve been watching for years have stopped making videos but I’m so glad you still do! I enjoy your plants & I’m so happy watching you grow from small apartment, computer/gaming to plant queen 💚👸🏼 🌿 Thank you for your videos!,, I’ve learned SO MUCH from you!
I love the variegated chiapense! My mom got a green form chiapense a couple years ago and I was surprised how much I loved it when I saw it in person. I ended up buying myself a frosted heart and they’re so pretty (and affordable), especially when given a strong light source. But the variegated version is stunning. Won’t be getting one any time soon but hopefully the price comes down.
I won't buy the queen anthurium because of how difficult they are, I'd say your success probably correlates to you very high humidity 😉 I just ordered an import squamicaule "blush" but that blood is super cool!
I'm actually surprised you didn't have el choco red on this list because I have been trying to get one from you for quite a while and every time you list one someone else snaps it up before I can. 🤣
My queen anthirium is doing great, I got it in a clear orchid pot so I can watch the roots grow. Makes me extremely confident in my ability to grow not gonna lie, I don't even want to sell it LOL
Hello Kaylee. I'm so glad your here and helping to educate me and others I'm sure. I know you love philodendron gloriosa. Would it be possible for you to do a video on its growing habits and if someone doesn't want to cut it will it be able to trail down because you said it doesn't climb because I've been wanting one myself but I don't know exactly how to take care of it in that perspective if you could I would appreciate it thank you
Just Picked up a Florida Beauty and Philo Gabby for $180. Both have amazing variegation. Best believe I followed your advice and made sure there were aerial roots!
Sp. Columbia is hands down going to be the one that continues to blow up. I know it. It’s freaking incredible and everyone is looking for them! Definitely classics that you shared!
🤯 Florida Beauty is Gorgeous 🥰,it's been on my wishlist well before COVID!!!! Love the Burle Marx varigata but, not the same love as for the Florida Beauty.🤩😍🤩😍. Great video 💓
What is your care secret for the queen? Mine is doing great it’s in high humidity outdoors at my house in Florida and it’s growing huge leaves but I always seem to get a little bit of a brown crispiness right when the leaf hardens off
I'm upset I missed the initial video haul for the squamicaule blood because I love it and have no idea where I'd even find it. I guess that's another that I just have to wait out 🤷♀️
I think the next big bestseller is going to be the Philodendron SP Columbia silver. It's just gorgeous, seems easy to grow and size up. Still love the florida beauty and I think it will drop a little more in price.
I can get an Monstera adansonii variegated for $90 on etsy in Canada right now if I wanted one. Love your Philodendron gloriosum and your philodendron Burle Marx Variegata. Awesome plants thanks Kaylee.
Really intereating ,,, i didnt ecpect thees plants are this much popular , and here its bit commen and slow selling than the earlier . 😉😉😉 i might start propagating these to export 💐💐👑👑👑
I'm having some difficulty with my one succulent. It was beautiful thick and has these gorgeous pink flowers. Right now, it's struggling. It's in a hot window but looks sick. The leaves are falling on it which could indicate a few things with a succulent obviously underwater or over watered but the soil gets so dry so obviously it needs watered because I let it dry out between watering. Could it be the window it's in? Any suggestions what kind of potting soil I just subscribed. I hate to repot it I don't know if it needs that it's such stress on these plants. You have a lot of exotic plants I do too my string of pearls is doing awesome I don't know if I consider that exotic but I do have a lot of other exotic ones and they're difficult they're not like apostles plant that'll grow anywhere. Those plants are amazing and hella easy
Do you have any advice for rooting cuttings of Philo burle-marx variegated? I bought a cutting on Etsy several weeks ago and it wasn't rooted. The foliage has not declined at all and it looks as awesome and healthy as when I got it, but the roots are simply not budging. Is it because the seller did not wait for the root "bumps" to become big aerials? Should I just give it some rooting hormone and wait? Thanks, Kaylee!
Hi Kaylee! I’ve just bought the Philodendron Squamiferum Blood from The Rare Plant Shop which I think is the same plant as the one you were discussing here but the name of the plant here in Philodendron Squamicaule Blood. Is it the same? Thanks!☺️
Flobe and warocqueanum have been on my list for at least 2 years. I think I can handle the flobe, once I bring myself to actually buy one 😂 but the waroq I just can't justify the risk... I've kept a crystallinum alive for going on 2 years, but it's not thriving. Sooo I don't think I have the anthurium skills to take on the queen 😭 she's so beautiful though!
The Queen is really easy to keep, actually. They just hate hard water - so either water them with soft water, or better yet, RO/demineralized water. Humidity is the most important part. 65% is the absolute minimum, in my experience, to keep them "perfect".
Hello Kaylee! Long time watcher and learner here! I have some dying questions I would trust you with the answer for but do not want to use up this whole page in the comments. Do you by chance have an email in which your followers can contact you for advice and even purchases on occasion?
Yeah nah, the queen anthurium is a real bitch. Honestly. I tried everything. Literally every other plant ever - fine - this one turns into shit again and again. They've become so cheap in Germany it's sad. It's been an investment for me, now it's just crap 😂
I will never understand people that would spend thousands on a houseplant...just a ridiculous late capitalism byproduct. Just grow plants that give you joy not "investments" and all that jazz.
Might I say it so wonderful to see young people getting into plants but how far removed you are. It always seems like the latest trend or what can earn you money. It really has nothing to do with the original hobby at all. I love to see people getting into the hobby but seems people do not have a true understanding of plants and just wants what looks great at the present given moment and that never lasts.
I enjoyed the statement “you’re either good at it, or you’re not”. I’m well known for a green thumb but there are certain plants that just don’t want me tending them even if I provide all the recommended conditions, and others which I can bend the care rules and they thrive anyway.
Agreed, Cordyline and Ivy despise me. Lol
Ivy and calathea here. And, I struggle with clarinervium even though they are supposed to be the easiest Anthurium!
I've been watching for years...and I just flashed-back to when you started your channel...and I'm so proud of you :) You have a large beautiful shop, and a wonderful channel. I'm so proud of you and excited to witness your journey continue

Honestly I've hated Florida anything philodendron, but I had never seen a mature leaf.
It looks like a variegated longilobatum! I love those ones!
Florida beauty is and probably will be forever one of my favourites
I found the Queen Anthurium to be very easy to keep, as long as you're watering it with RO/demineralized water and give it 65-70% humidity... had three in my cabinet and all of them were perfect. I’m so excited for this fertilizer for my philos. Is there a planned release date?

Listen😳 I'm also "literally obsessed" with that Florida Ghost🥰holy shit!!
Gotta love the braids ❤
All plants are on my wishlist 😂 BTW are you planning on your wall update video? Would love to see it 🙏
I’m so glad you still make videos! So many I’ve been watching for years have stopped making videos but I’m so glad you still do! I enjoy your plants & I’m so happy watching you grow from small apartment, computer/gaming to plant queen 💚👸🏼 🌿 Thank you for your videos!,, I’ve learned SO MUCH from you!
that florida beauty is… just so majestic😍
I love them all, but the Florida Ghost is my fav and at the top of my Plant Wish List. I have the varigated Snyngonium and I am in love with her!!
Hello, are you selling any rooted cutting of the syngonium?
I love the variegated chiapense! My mom got a green form chiapense a couple years ago and I was surprised how much I loved it when I saw it in person. I ended up buying myself a frosted heart and they’re so pretty (and affordable), especially when given a strong light source. But the variegated version is stunning. these prices are outrages. I am glad I live in central europe and can get most of them for a third
Very interesting! I didn't expect the Gloriosum to be this popular still as most of the people I know are a bit over this plant right now.
Love your videos, so great to see such a lovely face talking about plant care and educating us fellow green thumbs! 😄
The queen has been on my wishlist for over a year & I finally bought one! Ecuagenera had a sale so I couldn’t resist!
That syngonium chiapense variegata is so cool!!!
I NEED a Florida Beauty!
I can’t wait to try your feed 😬
Any chance you could do a waroc care video? Mine are in a tent and I’m still struggling!
I won't buy the queen anthurium because of how difficult they are, I'd say your success probably correlates to you very high humidity 😉 I just ordered an import squamicaule "blush" but that blood is super cool!

Love the ponytails 🥰

In the US I've personally never seen a Gloriousm go for under $90, they're typically more or less than $130ish.
In California, large ones are going for $65 and small ones for $30.
Indiana 60-75
Just Picked up a Florida Beauty and Philo Gabby for $180. Both have amazing variegation. Best believe I followed your advice and made sure there were aerial roots!
Do you mind sharing your supplier
Sp. Columbia is hands down going to be the one that continues to blow up. I know it.
It’s freaking incredible and everyone is looking for them!
Definitely classics that you shared!
I really appreciate Kayley’s honesty and she not just constantly trying to sell us her plants
🤯 Florida Beauty is Gorgeous 🥰,it's been on my wishlist well before COVID!!!! Love the Burle Marx varigata but, not the same love as for the Florida Beauty.🤩😍🤩😍. Great video 💓
philodendron "Jose Buono" , aglaonema "Tricolor Silver Camouflage" and Philodendron sp. scottmorianum are my favorites in my collection.
“Everyone” loves florida ghost.. I feel so alone for thinking it’s really ugly. 🙈
But Im more for round-ish leaves. 😇
I feel the same. Not a fan of the goofy looking leaves.
Kaylee ellen is so beautiful just like her plants
always makes me laugh when Kaylee calls a plant sexy, I mean I get it 100%.
but in my head she's got gentlemen's magazines but with plants instead
What is your care secret for the queen? Mine is doing great it’s in high humidity outdoors at my house in Florida and it’s growing huge leaves but I always seem to get a little bit of a brown crispiness right when the leaf hardens off
I'm upset I missed the initial video haul for the squamicaule blood because I love it and have no idea where I'd even find it. I guess that's another that I just have to wait out 🤷♀️
Same boat here.
Beautiful plant that I didn't know existed until now.
I think the next big bestseller is going to be the Philodendron SP Columbia silver. It's just gorgeous, seems easy to grow and size up. Still love the florida beauty and I think it will drop a little more in price.
Really nice to see the value of Gloriosum go down a but. Everyone deserves to have leaves like those
In a previous video you said you don't like using moss poles- do you have any advice for how to look after plants without using a pole?
I can get an Monstera adansonii variegated for $90 on etsy in Canada right now if I wanted one. Love your Philodendron gloriosum and your philodendron Burle Marx Variegata. Awesome plants thanks Kaylee.
Kaylee have you found out what your mysterious black Boi is yet? I have come across a plant that looks very similar 💚
I love my Florida ghost I have to get the beauty next!! They’re so pretty
Really intereating ,,, i didnt ecpect thees plants are this much popular , and here its bit commen and slow selling than the earlier . 😉😉😉 i might start propagating these to export 💐💐👑👑👑

Fun to watch. Always good to see your videos.
Your garden is amazing !
I love gloriosums! All types of them 💚 but sadly spidermites seem to love them as much as I do! What's your secret to keep them away ? (Pleasssse)
Wow, that's a gorgeous gloriosum!
Do you have any advice for rooting cuttings of Philo burle-marx variegated? I bought a cutting on Etsy several weeks ago and it wasn't rooted. Maybe one day I will splurge and get a gloriosum. It's so pretty.
I'm just not a fan of the the growth habit of the burle max.
Nice hair!
Hi Kaylee! I’ve just bought the Philodendron Squamiferum Blood from The Rare Plant Shop which I think is the same plant as the one you were discussing here but the name of the plant here in Philodendron Squamicaule Blood. Is it the same? Thanks!☺️
Here in North America, waro are worth so little now. Because anyone can get them from Ecuador for like $40 or less.
If you do you have that one could you please talk about the Philadentialn bloody Mary
That warocqueanum🤩
Wow 😍 I've never see most of these
Are you still in manchester? If you buy something from your store can you pop by and pick it up or is it post only?
Flobe and warocqueanum have been on my list for at least 2 years. I think I can handle the flobe, once I bring myself to actually buy one 😂 but the waroq I just can't justify the risk... Gloriosum is an awesome plant.
I have yet to try this plant yet, I am struggling to keep a teeeeeeeny baby anthurium gloriousom alive.
“Im not sure what the hype is” while kaylee’s holding an actual dragon (Florida beauty)
I like anthurium flower
I only have florida beauty burlemarx varrtiegated😆😆😆😆

I’m still waiting for my Philodendron Squamicaule ‘Pink’ to root as it was an import. They are honestly hard to root. 🥲
