As the Morgan we found out Kuro broke his jaw and he was the one who arrested the fake Kuro
What happens to Jango directly after this isn't shown in the anime. Jango is shown in a cover story in the manga of what he does after this. I would recommend checking out the cover stories for each arc after you finish. Some cover stories are pretty interesting and they also keep you updated with what's going on in the world with side characters that we've previously seen. It adds a lot to the world building.
I swear chase and sky really are good at seeing details, i watched one piece 2 times and didnt notice that was morgan until recently, but they just straight up saw him there. Great Reviews really!
I believe that's also why Morgan has an inflated ego and why he got the position of captain. He thinks he was THE ONE that caught the infamous captain Kuro.
Luffy didnt SEE Kuro, he instinctively reached out and grabbed him on both of those occasions. there was no other way since he was too slow to react, he went with his guts and it paid off.
Im waiting for u guys to cont watching next episode. U gotta watch the next arc mate and cont to atleast reach nami arc. U wont regret it. It one of best arc before they enter grandline

They didn’t buy the ship, Merry (the butler that Kuro attacked) built it himself hence why it’s called the Going Merry
