I always find it funny when people mistake Haku for a girl even though we were literally introduced to him as a "he" :D that was a really cool little flashback, giving us some more on Haku, I liked that shot of Zabuza standing over him casting a demonic shadow :) Sasuke is too cool to admit he cares for Naruto :P the conversation between Kakashi and Inari was really dope, very well written :) Naruto really helped Inari develop and now they formed a bond, you love to see it :) the Crystal Ice Mirror jutsu is one of the coolest I swear its such a cool idea :D Naruto though he does know how to make an entrance :) dont worry you will get used to the cliffhangers xD Naruto threw a Shuriken not a rock :P you want everything to happen too quickly no rush all in due time :)
When Haku was introduced he was wearing a mask and everyone just assumed he was male without knowing. In the forest he totally looks like a woman so that's why everyone thinks the original assumption was off, until Haku reveals he is in fact a dude.
The strength of shadow clones is ambiguous. It seems all clones are weaker than the original but Naruto's shadow clones seem almost as strong as him most of the time. Try not to hold exact numbers to how power levels work in this show because it's fluid and not exact. It even depends on the mental state of the character, as chakra consists 50% of mental energy. That's why Naruto could defeat a chunin to protect Iruka in episode 1 but then seems like a total noob in other cases.

Unfortunately, at this point Sakura is in no way stronger that at the beginning of the mission.
The point of the tree walking excercise was to improve the student's chakra control. Ninjas use chakra to fight, either for their jutsu or to temporarily boost their physical abilities (like Sasuke did when he took down the Zabuza clones). With worse chakra control they waste more chakra, so they last less time in a fight without running out of gas, they pour less effective chakra in their jutsu so they end up weaker and they can't do more complex techniques. So, by improving their control, it was the fastest way to improve their preexisting abilities. Take note of the "preexisting" part.
Now, out of the three students in team 7, both Sasuke and Naruto have really high amounts of chakra for a genin, while Sakura is average, so just by that Sasuke and Naruto should be able to use stronger techniques than her. Then in the training they decided to improve chakra control, so they could use their techniques to their full potential... except that Sakura's control was already that good, so she wouldn't gain any benefit of that training. It doesn't help that Sakura is also the only one of them that has no special techniques of her own, so even if her control wasn't perfect she wouldn't have gotten as much benefit as the other two (both because she doesn't have as much chakra as them, and because she doesn't have special techniques besides the basic three that would have gotten stronger with better control). Sure, you can use chakra to have bursts of speed like Sasuke did in this episode, but you have to learn how to do it (not everyone are geniuses that can learn things on the fly like Sasuke)
It doesn't really help that you are comparing her with the rest of team 7, which includes:
-Kakashi of the sharingan, world famous ninja genius who became jounin at age 10 (he is that good)
-Sasuke, super genius heir of one of the strongest clans of konoha
-Naruto, who has the 9 tails fox inside of him giving him lots of chakra, stamina, improved healing, etc. The guy can probably keep going all day and win most fight in a battle of atrition
Sakura is the normal girl in a team of monsters, and the author likes to focus on Naruto and Sasuke, so she is often relegated on the first half of Naruto on the role of damsel in distress. Hence the memes of "Sakura is useless". She eventually has her moments, but it takes a while and are overshadowed by her peer's.

@@oiuo378 500? sure your math is accurate? sounds like a guess-timation to me. there's 300 Naruto eps and 500+ eps of Shippuden, so you're saying that there's about as much filler as OG Naruto, that's hard to believe.

At 7:30, that's not higher than Sakura's tree-climbing level, it's just what she did without all the training. The very reason she's not doing this chakra control training with them right now is because she's already that good at it. If anything, I would blame Kakashi here for not using all this free time she had to teach her something new, while the two others still trained with chakra control... But as you've probably already heard, the author, Kishimoto, already admitted to be lacking in skill when it comes to writing female characters.
I mean, that and SOMEONE has to guard Tazuna. Like, it would be pretty sad if Tazuna got killed by a random thug with a sword because the whole team was too busy training.
@@bakkasama Kakashi could've trained Sakura on the bridge during Tazuna's working hours. The bridge is that large and sturdy. Kakashi said so himself: Sakura is the sharpest and we already know she has the book smarts and the chakra control, which means he doesn't need to focus too much on her with all kinds of explanations, but rather only needs to tell her what to learn and a basic explanation on how to learn it. Then Sakura can resume training, while Kakashi looks over Tazuna.
@@Forever...Wanderer Could Kakashi have guarded Tazuna at the bridge? It didn't look too bad in the anime but from what I recall Kakashi was either bedridden or on crutches at the start of the week. He probably was well enough to protect him from thugs by the second half of it (since if he expected Sakura to fight ninjas he wouldn't have sent her there) but by that point you have to wonder what could she actually train that could have made a difference in just a week.
Chakra control was kind of the exception because it was "use what you already have but better" but it is not like a week is enough to train her body, it was not like Kakashi was in any condition to spar with her to get her some experience either... I don't know, maybe Genjutsu? Though she would have had to start from zero and it is not like a beginner technique would have helped that much and an advanced one was probably too much to hope for in the time they had.
I just have trouble thinking what he could have trained her in that could actually give her meaningful results in a single week.
@@bakkasama Something is better than nothing and it's not by not trying just because you have little time on your hands that you're going to get anywhere. Your argument is founded on way too much hindsight. Kakashi couldn't have known when and where they would be attacked, only what the stakes were and who he is supposed to guard and not attempting to teach a student with some potential when that student has free time and the danger is that real makes no sense. Even someone bedridden but fully conscious can give instructions, at least basic ones to get the training going. Would the training have paid off in such a short amount of time? The only real answer is "who knows"? Depending on what was taught and Sakura's ability to learn, she may have gotten a new jutsu that she would be at least half-decent at and whether that something is deceitful like Genjutsu or distracting like some offensive Ninjutsu ultimately doesn't matter because it's all about getting as close to having a new weapon in the arsenal as possible for when the attack happens. Hell, between the few days of training themselves and whatever experience Sakura would have gotten during that fight, she could have gotten some interesting clues on how to progress in that training, after the fight was over, and how to implement its results in future fights. Since this would've only been possible if Sakura was put on that road days before the fight and since Kakashi did nothing there, this is where we ended up being. As far as I'm concerned, Kishimoto simply dropped the ball there by simply not trying or not being able to come up with something during those few key chapters in the early development of the main cast and the story.
@@Forever...Wanderer They kind of did know when they would be attacked by Zabuza and Haku (hence the whole training thing, since they expected to take a week) but they still needed someone to stay guarding Tazuna for the whole of it to avoid attacks of opportunity. She couldn't have wandered off to train while guarding him and training while she guarded him was potentially dangerous for the client. If Tazuna died because nobody was available to guard him, then the whole training would have been pointless.
Just to be clear, I am not arguing that Sakura was not done dirty this arc or that there wasn't a wasted opportunity, I am just pointing out the likely in-universe explanation for how things went down.
