What stood out to me is the vehicle you reviewed is a Unicorn. The EX is not available in the US with the gauge cluster you showed. This must be a pre-production press car. The EX in USA has the lower level 4.2" TFT screen in the gauge cluster bracketed with a digital LCD speed and tachometer.
Only one thing I don't like about this design. You can't down shift. I don't know about you (North Carolina), but where I'm from we sometimes get ice and snow in the winter. Being able to down shift and drive slow downhill rather than trying to rely on brakes makes a world of difference in terms of safety. Give me back the shifter and we've maybe got a deal. Otherwise, I'm sticking with a RAV4.
You only opened the moonroof to the first stop (this is the position with the least buffeting on the highway), you have to press open again to open it completely.
For anyone wondering, these don’t get anywhere close to 38mpg. I average 31mpg on mine that was purchased in July. For comparison, my Rav 4 Hybrid is rated for 39mpg and I average 43mpg with it. 12mpg more than my Sportage Hybrid, even though it’s only rated 1mpg more.
@@rohitnijhawan5281 I’m well over 8,000 now, so I’ve definitely broken her in by now. I drive the exact same route at the exact same speeds with both cars. Same time of day with the same traffic, and the results are consistent.
Thought I’d share my different experience, received my HEV 4 on July and averaging 50mpg (UK), which is rated 49.6mgg (UK), I’ve done 3,200 miles. It’s very economical for me and an amazing car overall.
@@dac00007 I'm glad to hear you're having luck! Unfortunately my experience has only gotten worse. With the cold weather now I'm averaging 26mpg. I expected a slight drop because batteries lose performance in the cold, but damn thats a big drop.

Good to know about the seats and mpg. I didn't know about FWD option but that's because I was always picking the higher trim options.

Just bought mine last week and getting 32mpg Highway on eco mode and cruise control . Nowhere near 38 . Bit disappointed
I've heard that it takes 3000 miles for that hybrid system to break in. Were you driving you Rav4 at lower speeds?

I must say. I am impressed. Hey Jeff. How would you saying the Hybrid transition smoothness ranks compared to your Venza?
I would say Venza is smoother but it is smoother than RAV4 by a little. Really close
Are there other voice commands or just for the heated seats and steering wheel? Can you set temp or change station?
Why are the seats vibrating as you drive down the highway and your video?
Does the EX trim without the EX package come with a power liftgate? Not smart but just powered(button on keyfob or door).
Does the EX trim come with fog lights?
Can the pano cover open all the way back without opening the actual glass portion?
