I purchased one of these from my local KIA dealer in NC, just two weeks before this video was filmed. I got very lucky as this vehicle was preordered 2.5 months earlier by someone else. It had just come in a day or so before and the woman who had ordered it decided on the larger Sorento. If had ordered one that day, they were expecting at least two or more months wait, but I needed one ASAP.
The only differences between my vehicle and your review model, are my interior is Black, I have the FWD version and I do not have the Snow Mode, since I am in the Southeastern US.
I must say that you did the absolute BEST job of describing all the features of this vehicle, than the 15 or more other reviews of this (or similar) model, I have watched on UA-cam.
I think the only things you did not describe were the cool LED map lamps-how you just put your finger very close, or on, the light itself and it turns on and off. And, also the buttons on the upper console. Finally, you forgot to mention the Estimated Gas Mileage on the AWD vs. the FWD models. Oh, and you left out the sticker price.
I absolutely LOVE my 2023 KIA Sportage SX-Prestige FWD! And, I could not be happier!!!

I think the FWD is the lowest trim, it also misses a lot of safety features. I wish the FWD had higher trim options for the safety features I need, so I can have higher MPG. I'm currently hunting for one as well at MSRP or less than 1k markup, here in California, all dealers ask around 3k - 5k mark up...crazy.
@@nounta1016 - the FWD on the SX Prestige has the same safety features and trim as the AWD. I am so happy with my Sportage after two months of ownership. I couldn’t be happier and I am getting excellent gas mileage.
@@nounta1016 FWD isn't a trim, the trims are LX,EX,etc...... and all of those trims are available in FWD or AWD. However I think the AWD will run just under 2k more.
How does ordering one work? Does that cost more than it would if it was already at dealership?

Windshield wiper under the fin lol, (rear wiper under the spoiler) paddle shifter put the rear seats down haha ( lever puts the seats down) map pockets no one uses maps. Thanks for showing this model. I enjoyed what words you chose for things.
Thanks for this very informative tutorial. We just bought the exact same car 3 weeks ago. We're loving it so far! I learned quite a few tricks from watching your review. I went into the garage and tried a couple of them and sure enough, they worked. For instance, we didn't know that pulling up the radio screen was as easy as tapping the inlay below the clock. We would always swipe left then tap on the radio icon. Same goes for the navigation screen. My only disappointment is that it doesn't have ambient lighting! I thought the top of the line SX Prestige would include this nice to have feature.

There is a $300 interior lighting option available or you can probably add it using an after market kit.

@@Redbone380 No, we have the ICE. We wanted the Hybrid, but couldn't get it in the color we wanted (Wolf Gray). For reasons only KIA understands, the ICE SX Prestige is not sold in Wolf Gray here in the US, only in Canada!!
Just picked ours up to replace the 2017 Sportage SX that had a major mechanical failure at 128000 miles.
First impressions are that it’s not nearly as quick as the old one.
Also missing is Homelink(you have to hang a garage door opener on the visor) and the sunglasses holder is gone. Doesn’t make sense these things are gone. Love the new tech and safety features.
The home link mirror can be added as an accessory if it didn’t come from the factory. Only the Hybrids have the Turbo engines.
I liked your review SPADLEY however there were a few nuances that you missed........having said that, I still enjoyed it and you now have 1 more subscriber!
The curve at the top of the windshield has been there since I know 2017 because I have one and will most likely have one of these soon . I just hope the 2023 turns out to be as good a car as the 2017 is . I appreciate this video because most UA-camrs don't go into the settings and programs to explain the settings . Very helpful ! P.S. I always ask the dealer to take off their Logo or sticker but I tell them that I will not purchase the vehicle if they don't . Believe it or not I had a Chevy dealer refuse to take his off before I signed any papers so , I walked ! LOL!

Just bought one last month. Amazing vehicle. Very happy with the purchase. I just wish there was a way to turn off that beeping sound when you shift into reverse. Anyone have any ideas?
You cannot, almost all EV and hybrid have it because it might be running just on electric which doesn't make a sound. It is for safety so others included the visually impaired know when a car is backing up. Some cars do it a bit better though, like the Honda Clarity, it just makes a humming noise.

Any concern with that red interior showing dirt or getting discolored from jeans after a while? I love the look, but slightly concerned about it showing wear-and-tear more than a black leather. Thanks for the video!
So far I haven’t seen the red do that. The light grey has. I’ve seen several instances with the light grey

Just to inform some people about the badging. Only some of the Kia trims dont have badging. I have a 2023 Kia sprotage x-pro and it has badging on the right hand side of the car. Only the high models dont have badging. This car also only is in fwd only for this Tim level.
Time index 3:37 you can see the window sticker where it clearly shows that it’s a AWD. I’m not sure what country you are in, but in the United States they come in AWD.
Great review! I just bought this exact same car. Loving it so far! Question for you - is there a way to display what song/station is playing on the instrument panel? My old car had a heads up display, so I liked having that information in from of me at eye level. I have searched the all of the settings and cannot seem to find a setting for this. I did notice when I change my radio station it does flash at the bottom of the screen, but does not stay there. Maybe it's not an option? Any help would be great!
I’m pretty sure it just flashes at the bottom, it it was a setting it would be under the button on the steering wheel that looks like 2 pages. Cycle through there and see if it’s an option. Unfortunately this trim is so rare that I don’t have any coming in with in the next 45 days

My wife has the plug in hybrid Sportage and takes our German Shepherd places in it with no issues. We do have a dog liner from Amazon but even when she doesn’t use it it’s fine.
Why do some SX’s has the nob gear shift &others have the stick shift to switch from P,D,R? (etc)
The knobs are the hybrids.

I used Mazda CX5, it has 2 USB ports, one is dedicated to Android auto/apple carplay, and another one I use for songs from USB.. in Kia Sportage is there an option to use above both at the same time?

I prefer the hybrids with the turbo. Both the regular or the PHEV feel and are more powerful
If you are the type to race from stop sign to stop sign, then it is probably not for you. I assume it also could be a little under powered going through mountains, but for me, i have never felt underpowered and have driven up to 85 mph.

All EVs (Hybrids are included in this regulation) are required to have back up warning sounds because in EV motor mode a pedestrian might not hear them. I would say some gas cars are as quiet at that back up speed as well but don't have the rule.

Maybe they are over MSRP in your area, but not mine. I looked at numerous brands when searching for a new vehicle, not a single brand/dealer had auto/suv listed over MSRP. I actually bought nome lase December for $300 un MSRP..
Just bought an SX , AWD. Dealer in Memphis, Tennessee charges only the MSRP.

There are so many variations and trim levels, you really should see a dealer about that.
99% good the car is just missing the 4 ways lumbar support.
How's the mileage, try then tell us how it works.The reason why we buy Hybrid is fuel economy but if the same as gas vehicles, then why we buy Hybrid then,common sense.
The fuel mileage is not the same. Please see my video on the 23 plug in Sportage or the 23 hybrid Sportage where I go over that info.
The Hybrid helps reduce emissions, thus lessening the impact of Climate Change.

Seats are not real leather.
No they are not. IMO they are better than leather. I hate the upkeep required to keep leather looking good. These seats easily clean with just a warm wet cloth
