Its hilarious how many games have been pitched. Approved. Designed. and Shipped in the time this game has been in development. At a certain point most people don't even remember this game ever released a teaser let alone was announced.
Elden ring started development got announced, delayed, and released during the span between this trailer and now.
What happened after the cinematic, suddenly the engine had a stroke and the graphics went back to ps2

Well it is obvious to games because it is not possible to make games (at least unless we have some of the greatest computers and internet speed available to download 100 to 400 gigs of games) with graphics equivalent to Movies. I'm a game developer dude so don't take my words lightly.

Ubisoft are master at making cinematic trailer but can't say samething about their games.
The same can be said about Bethesda studios. Skyrim and Fallout 4 and 76 come to mind.

@@PacifyKy I agree with you there, Fallout 4 is an awesome game story wise and the gameplay is fantastic and familiar at the same time.
But, the dialogue tree system really disappointed me a lot when it came to Fallout 4. Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas' dialogue tree was so awesome and exciting that it made the game so much fun to play it. Fallout 4, I don't feel that same spark compared to the last two games that I mentioned.

The first game was a true hidden gem over 15 years ago, and you can still find it in Steam at roughly $5.
It was one of the game that cannot be described easily because it's a mishmash of plenty diferent game mechanic into one that I can't believe can be done. There were fighting mechanic was like Prince of Persia, stealth section, 3D platformer, boat and spaceship racing, and also photo hunting. Overall it's a very strange game, but good one.

This game is going to be another cyberpunk style deal where what we get is vastly different from what is advertised. Like being shown a Lamborghini and then actually receiving a minivan.

Watching one of these trailers was the sole reason i played the first game. I thought "damn this looks so cool" but its beyond good and evil 2 so i wanted to know about the first on and by god did i love it. I didnt even care tgat tge graphics werent great, i comepleatly fell in love with the characters and the story. Its such an amszing game

I played it as a kid and couldn`t get my eyes off of it. Taking pictures of creatures and all the other stuff... the atmosphere. god I wish this game comes out and it`s of good quality as the first one. ( in my opinion they shouldn`t have take planetary direction, but instead go with uncharted style gameplay with hub worlds. That`s my only fear for this game.)

This game has been in development for years now. Its probably a development hell rn for the developers but I really hope this game doesn’t get cancelled and we get some news on it
After what happened and the wrong allegations against Ancel(he got me tooed as many of the developers out there) he stepped back from all its projects. He wanted this to be absolutely perfect, and was working hard on it, so hard, the staff said: with him as the project leader, this game will never come out, because of him being to much a perfectionist.
For me, this couldnt get more perfect, they should take alle the time the Game needs. You all know what happened to CD PR's Cyberpunk. It wasnt really the best thing that could have happened throwing the game out without a real Platin nor Gold Phase in developing.
I also hope so much that this game will finally come out.
But thinking about it... without Ancel Being the leadcreator and Lead Director.. will this Game be a real good Sequel/Prequel to the First one? i dont really think so... Sadly!
@@VVfanXXLx3 Let's be real, BGE2 won't ever exist. Even if this games comes out (which I doubt), that won't be a Beyond Good and Evil game. Everything that made the game what it was is gone.
Unique art style, stealth gameplay tied to the "journalist" experience, etc. That one would just be another Ubisoft classic, huge and empty open world. Just an assassin's creed like in the universe of BGE.
BGE will sadly never have a true sequel.

I doubt this game will ever get finished and when they lost Michael Ancel, it pretty much put the entire development team into disarray. Credible sources from within Ubisoft recently revealed that the game is still in development, and is likely to release in 2024/2025. They've been at it since 2008, so we're getting close to your estimate xD They have had problems during development because Michel Ancel left Ubisoft.

Too bad this game is in development hell. I doubt it's gonna be released, but I have hope. I would love to see this come to life. I'm a fan of Michel Ancel's work, especially on the Rayman series. Beyond Good and Evil is another franchise that needs to be brought back to life. This looks beautiful and has a lot of potential. Jade looks terrifying in this cinematic and I love it.
I swear, Ubisoft should just turn their franchises into movies. This would be awesome.

Major cyberpunk vibes...hyped trailer, massive bomb.
Nah... If anything this is a good sign. It means overpolishing it for a PS5 release. plus it's not a new IP, it's one with an established lore in place. Cyberpunk was doing a transfer from tabletop to videogame. they had to rebuild it. this on the other hand has mechanics from the first one that can be re-used. of course I could be wrong I mean look where AC has fallen.
